An SEIRS epidemic model on the scale-free networks is presented, where the active contact number of each vertex is assumed to be either constant or proportional to its degree for this model. Using the analytical method, we obtain the two threshold values for above two cases and find that the threshold value for constant contact is independent of the topology of the underlying networks. The existence of positive equilibrium is determined by threshold value. For a finite size of scale-free network, we prove the local stability of disease-free equilibrium and the permanence of the disease on the network. Furthermore, we investigate two major immunization strategies, random immunization and targeted immunization, some similar results are obtained. Rolling element bearings are the key components in many rotating machinery. For efficient performance of the machine it is necessary to accurately predict the effect of various parameters and operating conditions on the machine’s behavior. This paper deals with the development of a nonlinear model of the rotor-bearing system on rolling element bearings with clearance. Clearance is an important nonlinearity which can cause bifurcations and chaos as has been shown in this paper. In this paper a detailed model for clearance is developed. In this model the inner race center and the outer race center are not assumed to be collinear when relations for deflections in the rolling element are developed. The model is non-dimensionalized and then analyzed to reveal rich nonlinear phenomena. Further, for better performance of any machine it is necessary to identify and stay out of chaotic regimes of operation. Hence, Lyapunov exponents and Poincaré mappings are used to analyze the system and determine the regions of chaotic response. 相似文献

We present two methods for generating linearized permutation polynomials over an extension of a finite field Fq. These polynomials are parameterized by an element of the extension field and are permutation polynomials for all nonzero values of the element. Bell nonlocality, entanglement and nonclassical correlations are different aspects of quantum correlations for a given state. There are many methods to measure nonclassical correlations. In this paper, nonclassical correlations in two-qubit spin models are measured by the use of measurement-induced disturbance (MID) [S. Luo, Phys. Rev. A 77 (2008) 022301] and geometric measure of quantum discord (GQD) [B. Daki?, V. Vedral, C. Brukner, Phys. Rev. Lett. 105 (2010) 190502]. Their dependences on external magnetic field, spin–spin coupling, and the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) interaction are presented in detail. In order to evaluate the vulnerability of photonic crystal fiber (PCF) in radiation environment, radiation-induced attenuation (RIA) characteristics of a pure-silica-core PCF with high content of hydroxyl was examined using a 60Co radiation source. Its dose dependent RIA profile at 1310 nm was measured and compared with Ge-doped single mode fiber (SMF). Beyond our expectation, PCF showed significantly higher RIA and its recovery was also slower. To interpret the non-ideal RIA characteristics of PCF, hypotheses involving nonbridging oxygen hole centers (NBOHC) or near-infrared absorption (NIR) defect were given and the contribution of PCF's unique fabrication technology to these color centers’ high infrared absorption was discussed. 相似文献

The magnetization and electrical resistivity of Mn3−xFexSnC (0.5≤x≤1.3) were measured to investigate the behavior of the complicated magnetic phase transitions and electronic transport properties from 5 to 300 K. The results obtained demonstrate that Fe doping at the Mn sites of Mn3SnC induces a more complicated magnetic phase transition than that in its parent phase Mn3SnC from a paramagnetic (PM) state to a ferrimagnetic (FI) state consisting of antiferromagnetic (AFM) and ferromagnetic (FM) components, while, with the change of Fe-doped content and magnetic field, there is a competition between the AFM component and FM component in the FI state. Both the Curie temperature (TC) and the saturated magnetization Ms increase with increasing x. The FM component region becomes broader with further increasing Fe-doped content x. The external magnetic field easily creates a saturated FM state (and increased TC) when . Fe doping quenches the negative thermal expansion (NTE) behavior from 200 to 250 K reported in Mn3SnC. 相似文献
