Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is an O-glycosylated glycoprotein. G-CSF stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells committed to the neutrophil/granulocyte lineage in a dose-dependent manner. The most important application of G-CSF is in the treatment of transient phases of leukopenia following chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. Motion of curves and solutions of two multi-component mKdV equations

Two classes of multi-component mKdV equations have been shown to be integrable. One class called the multi-component geometric mKdV equation is exactly the system for curvatures of curves when the motion of the curves is governed by the mKdV flow. In this paper, exact solutions including solitary wave solutions of the two- and three-component mKdV equations are obtained, the symmetry reductions of the two-component geometric mKdV equation to ODE systems corresponding to it’s Lie point symmetry groups are also given. Curves and their behavior corresponding to solitary wave solutions of the two-component geometric mKdV equation are presented.     

Formation of optical waveguide in KNSBN crystal by low dose MeV H-ion implantation

The first H-ion implanted Cu-doped (K_0.5Na_0.5)_0.2(Sr_0.75Ba_0.25)_0.9Nb₂O₆ crystal planar waveguide is reported in this paper. Low dose MeV H ion implantation into a crystal of KNSBN has been used to fabricate the waveguide by generating a buried layer of lowered refractive index. Both TE and TM modes are observed. The reconstructed refractive index profiles in the waveguide are obtained using a parametrized index profile reconstruction method. The simulated results of TRIM show that the nuclear collision influences most the ordinary index profile, but in the region of the guide the extraordinary index profile may be related to the electronic energy loss.

Multi-scale modeling of materials properties and chemical processes has drawn great attention from science and engineering. For these multi-scale and rate-dependent processes, how to characterize their trans-scale for-mulation is a key point. Three questions should be addressed:How do multi-sizes affect the problems?How are length scales coupled with time scales?How to identify emergence of new structure in process and its effect?For this sake, the macroscopic equations of mechanics and the kinetic equations of the microstructural transforma-tions should form a unified set that be solved simultaneously.As a case study of coupling length and time scales, the trans-scale formulation of wave-induced damage evolution due to mesoscopic nucleation and growth is discussed. Degradation study in flexible substrate organic light-emitting diodes

Indium tin oxide (ITO) coated polycarbonate (PC) multilayer flexible substrates have been subjected to different cycles of bending. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) results on bent ITO surfaces show that bending results in much rougher ITO surfaces. The Ca degradation test shows that the ITO cracks are perpendicular to the flexing direction and that barrier performance deteriorated after bending. When an organic light emitting device is fabricated on the bent substrate, electrical and optical performance decrease. This can be attributed to moisture and oxygen permeated through deteriorated substrate and barrier degraded polymer and oxidized cathode materials. However, optical microscopy observation found that the dark spots have less relationship with the size and position of the cracks on oxide film. Instead to a great extent, they are directly related to the ITO surface spikes. The results further prove that the dark spot is due to electrical stress generated by intense local current at sharp anode and cathode points, which degrade the polymer causing the formation of the dark center. 关于二元四次样条插值与逼近

文［１］中讨论了上的插值问题，其中的插值函数表达式用到被插值函数的二阶导数．本文进一步研究空间上的一类新的二元样条插值形式，其中仅用到插值函数的一阶导数．证明了该插值形式的唯一性与存在性，且不需要解高维的线性方程组．最后给出了逼近度问题．     

On Minimal Generating Sets of E(D n ), A(D n) and I(D n ) with Even n

Let Dn be the dihedral group of order 2n. Denote by E(Dn) (resp. A(Dn), I(Dn)) the distributively generated nearring generated by the set of all endomorphisms (resp. automorphisms, inner automorphisms). In this paper, we determine for each one of the above three nearrings a minimal (additive) generating set. For E(Dn), this set contains the identity mapping and four other endomorphisms; for A(Dn), the identity mapping, one outer automorphism and one inner automorphisms; and for I(Dn), the identity mapping and two inner automorphisms.
