ESTERIFICATION ON ZEOLITES

Primary, secondary, and tertiary alcohols and polyols were esterified with carboxylic acidin the presence of HY zeolite. Yield of ester of primary alcohol is over 80 per cent, andthat of sec- and tert-alcohols, 40-50 per cent generally.γ-Lactone was synthesized byrearrangement of α- or β-octylenic to tridecylenic acid with HY zeolite.     

Finite sample tail behavior of multivariate location estimators

A finite sample performance measure of multivariate location estimators is introduced based on “tail behavior”. The tail performance of multivariate “monotone” location estimators and the halfspace depth based “non-monotone” location estimators including the Tukey halfspace median and multivariate L-estimators is investigated. The connections among the finite sample performance measure, the finite sample breakdown point, and the halfspace depth are revealed. It turns out that estimators with high breakdown point or halfspace depth have “appealing” tail performance. The tail performance of the halfspace median is very appealing and also robust against underlying population distributions, while the tail performance of the sample mean is very sensitive to underlying population distributions. These findings provide new insights into the notions of the halfspace depth and breakdown point and identify the important role of tail behavior as a quantitative measure of robustness in the multivariate location setting.

决明子有效成分的提取

决明子的主要功能化学成分有蒽醌类、吡酮类和多糖等，具有降血脂、降血压、保肝、通便等作用。本文采用乙醇提取决明子中的三种有效成分：多糖、蒽醌、黄酮。对乙醇浓度、浸提温度、浸提时间、固液比、浸提次数进行了单因素梯度实验，确定了其条件范围，通过进一步正交实验得到决明子有效成分的乙醇提取工艺的最优因素组合．乙醇浓度50％，浸提温度60℃，浸提时间2．5h，固液比l：20。     

中试规模的第二代增压流化床联合循环发电技术研究与开发

第二代增压流化床联合循环发电技术(2G PFBC-CC)是当前具有应用前景的洁净煤发电技术之一。东南大学热能工程研究所构建了2 MWt加压喷动流化床部分气化炉,对原有1 MWt增压流化床燃烧炉进行了改造,形成了较完整的2G PFBC-CC系统．经过二年多的调试和试验研究,验证了2G PFBC-CC工艺可行性和先进性,部分气化炉产生的煤气热值在4．2 MJ／Nm3以上,满足燃气透平的要求,排出的半焦可在PFB燃烧炉内稳定燃烧,飞灰含碳量在2％以下,系统碳利用效率在99％以上。     

Two-dimensional thermoelasticity solution for functionally graded thick beams

Two-dimensional thermoelasticity analysis of functionally graded thick beams is presented using the state space method coupled with the technique of differential quadrature. Material properties vary continuously and smoothly through the beam thickness, leading to variable coefficients in the state equation derived from the elasticity equations. Approximate laminate model is employed to translate the state equation into the one with constant coefficients in each layer. To avoid numerical instability, joint coupling matrices are introduced according to the continuity conditions at interfaces in the approximate model. The differential quadrature procedure is applied to discretizing the beam in the axial direction to make easy the treatment of arbitrary end conditions. A simply-supported beam with exponentially varying material properties is considered to validate the present method. Numerical examples are performed to investigate the influences of relative parameters.

EFFECTS OF BANDGAP SHRINKAGE IN FEMTOSECOND ABSORPTION SATURATION MEASUREMENTS OF GaAs FILM

Using CPM dye laser and self-mode-locked Ti sapphire laser as pump-probe optical sources, the effects of bandfilling and bandgap shrinkage on the femtosecond absorption saturation spectra of GaAs film have been studied, For exciting photon energy of 1.97eV and carrier density of 1×10¹⁸cm^-3, an optical-induced absorption increase is observed and is attributed to bandgap shrinkage, The dependence of the absorption coefficient change on the carrier temperature and the carrier densities is discussed.
