Separation and determination of ephedrine alkaloids and tetramethylpyrazine in Ephedra sinica Stapf by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry

A simple, sensitive, and reliable method using gas chromatography (GC)-mass spectrometry (MS) is developed for the simultaneous determination of ephedrine alkaloids and 2,3,5,6-tetramethylpyrazine (TMP) in Ephedra sinica Stapf. The sample is extracted with ethyl ether and submitted to GC-MS for identification and quantitation without derivatization. The column used for GC is an HP-5 (30.0 m x 250 microm x 0.25 microm, 5% phenyl methyl siloxane), and the carrier gas is helium. The detection limits for ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and TMP are 0.4 ng 0.7 ng, and 0.02 ng (signal-to-noise ratio of 3), respectively. The reproducibility of the total procedure is proved to be acceptable (RSD < 2%), and the recoveries are above 93%.

Complete 1H and 13C NMR assignments of four new steroidal glycosides from a gorgonian coral Junceella juncea

Four new cholest-type steroidal glycosides, junceellosides A-D, isolated from the EtOH/CH(2)Cl(2) extracts of the South China Sea gorgonian coral Junceella juncea, were identified. Complete assignments of the (1)H and (13)C NMR chemical shifts for these compounds were achieved by means of one- and two-dimensional NMR techniques, including (1)H-(1)H COSY, HSQC, HMBC and NOESY spectra.

声光可调-近红外光谱技术分析烟草主要化学成分

建立了声光可调-近红外光谱方法(AOTF-NIR)检测烟草主要化学成分的方法。应用AOTF-NIR光谱仪测定了不同地区、不同等级烟草样品的近红外光谱,用Unscrambler(定量分析软件将光谱与对应的化学成分值相关联,建立了烟草中总糖、还原糖、总烟碱和钾的回归模型。用这些模型对未知样品进行了预测。总糖、还原糖、总烟碱和钾模型预测的平均相对标准偏差分别为2.71%、3.13%、4.04%和6.42%。     

12-钼磷酸中水的存在状态及其热稳定性的质谱法研究

本文运用程序升温脱水-质谱计检测(TPD MS)和红外光谱测定(IR)法研究了12-钼磷酸(PMA)中水的存在状态及其热稳定性. 解迭了PMA的TPD MS谱, 发现PMA中存在有结合能量各异的7种水峰. 讨论了PMA中各种水的结合强度及其对Keggin结构稳定性的影响。

Host-guest interactions in aqueous media withp-tert.-butylcalix[4]arene bearing polyoxyethylene chains

The interactions ofp-tert.-butylcalix[4]arene bearing polyoxyethylene chains (C3) with pyrene (Py), 1-anilino-8-naphthalenesulfonate (ANS) andN-phenyl-naphthylamine (NPN) in aqueous solution were studied by absorption and fluorescence measurements. Absorption spectral changes and fluorescence enhancements reveal that C3, which has a hydrophobic cavity, can include organic molecules and ions in aqueous solution and form 11 host-guest complexes with ANS and NPN. C3 forms inclusion complexes with Py at different stoichiometries depending on the host: guest molar ratio. Binding constants of 2.2×10⁴, 2.0×10⁴ and 3.6×10⁵ dm³ mol^–1 were calculated for the C3Py, C3ANS and C3NPN complexes (11), respectively, based on the Benesi-Hildebrand equation.Author for correspondence.     

Synthesis and thermodynamic properties of a metal-organic framework: [LaCu6(μ-OH)3(Gly)6im6](ClO4)6

A metal-organic complex, which has the potential property of absorbing gases, [LaCu₆(μ-OH)₃(Gly)₆im₆](ClO₄)₆ was synthesized through the self-assembly of La³⁺, Cu²⁺, glycine (Gly) and imidazole (Im) in aqueous solution and characterized by IR, element analysis and powder XRD. The molar heat capacity, C_p,m, was measured from T = 80 to 390 K with an automated adiabatic calorimeter. The thermodynamic functions [H_T − H_298.15] and [S_T − S_298.15] were derived from the heat capacity data with temperature interval of 5 K. The thermal stability of the complex was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
