A light-driven rotaxane molecular shuttle with dual fluorescence addresses

[reaction: see text] A molecular shuttle containing an alpha-CD macrocycle, an azobenzene unit, and two different fluorescent naphthalimide units was synthesized. The cis-trans photoisomerization of the azobenzene unit resulted in the motion of the CD macrocycle on the track. Because of the easy regulation and full reversibility of the fluorescence change of the two stopper units, the molecular shuttle could be used as a molecular storage medium or switch with all-optical inputs and outputs.     

ENVIRONMENTAL STABILITY OF THE POLYENE PREPARED BY DEHYDROCHLORINATION OF POLY(VINYL CHLORIDE)

A high-quality polyene can be obtained by exensive dehydrochlorination of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) in aliquid/solid two-phase system. The liquid phase is a tetrahydrofuran solution of PVC containing a small amount ofpoly(ethylene glycol) with molar mass of 400 g as a phase transfer catalys. The solid phase is potassium hydroxide particles.The structure of the polyene is polyacetylene-like and has a long conjugated C=C sequence and a narrow dispersity ofpolyene sequences according to its FT-infrared and Raman spectra. The environmental stability of the polyene was alsostudied by IR, Raman spectra and elemental analysis. Experimental results demonstrated that the polyene was susceptible toair and could be changed into a material containing high concentrations of hydroxyl and carbonyl groups. The polyenesequences were shortened and its dispersity became broader due to the effect of dioxygen.     

Sulfoalkyl Ether β-Cyclodextrin Derivatives: Synthesis and Characterizations

A series of sulfoalkyl ether -cyclodextrin derivatives, including sulfoethyl, sulfopropyl and sulfobutyl ethyl -cyclodextrins, have been synthesized and characterized. Each sulfoalkyl ether -cyclodextrin is a mixture of various degrees of substitution and different positional isotherms. Elemental analysis, ¹H NMR, MS, and Differential Scanning Calorimetry analysis were used to determine the average degree of substitution for each -cyclodextrin derivative. The average degrees of substitution are 3.4, 1.6 and 2.5 for sulfoethyl, sulfopropyl and sulfobutyl ether -cyclodextrin, respectively. The water solubility of these derivatives is substantially higher than that of -cyclodextrin. ¹H NMR indicates thatsulfoethyl ether -cyclodextrin may have major substitution on the secondaryhydroxyl group while the major substitution in sulfopropyl and sulfobutyl ether-cyclodextrin could be on the primary hydroxyl group. MS spectra showthat no more than one substitution occurred on a single glucose unit.     

SciFinder-guided rational design of fluorescent carbon dots for ratiometric monitoring intracellular pH fluctuations under heat shock

Intracellular pH plays a significant role in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, metabolism, enzyme activity and homeostasis. In this work, a novel design strategy for the preparation of pH responsive carbon dots (CDs-pH) for ratiometric intracellular imaging was reported. By using SciFinder database, fluorescent CDs-pH with the required pK_a value of 6.84 were rationally designed, which is vital important for precise sensing of intracellular pH. As a result, the synthesized CDs-pH demonstrated robust ability to test pH fluctuations within the physiological range of 5.4-7.4. The CDs-pH was further utilized for fluorescent ratiometric imaging of pH in living HeLa cells, effectively avoided the influence of autofluorescence from native cellular species. Moreover, real-time monitoring of intracellular pH fluctuation under heat shock was successfully realized. This SciFinder-guided design strategy is simple and flexible, which has a great potential to be used for the development of other types of CDs for various applications.

用中国计量科学院提供的量热基准苯甲酸标定了本实验室建立的精密静弹燃烧热量计,测定了四邻甲氧基苯基卟啉(T_(o—OCH_3)PP)和四对二甲氨基苯基卟啉(T_(p—N(CH_3)_2)PP)的标准燃烧能,并计算出标准生成焓。实验仪器等温环境潜水式静弹燃烧热量计,量热环境主要包括恒温水槽和量热筒外套两部分,水槽中的两个泵式搅拌器能使水槽中的水充分搅动。量热体系包括量热筒、筒内定量的水、氧弹、内加热器、内搅拌器、热敏电阻测温探头以及一支辅助检测温度计。量热     

铝镓取代的钨硅杂多配合物位置异构体的合成表征及催化性能

合成了通式为Ｋ５－ｎＨｎ［α－，βｉ－ＳｉＷ１１Ｍ（Ｈ２Ｏ）Ｏ３９］·ｘＨ２Ｏ（Ｍ＝Ａｌ，Ｇａ，βｉ＝β１，β２，β３）的八种异构体。通过元素分析、红外光谱和紫外光谱、极谱和循环伏安、２７Ａｌ和１８３Ｗ核磁共振、Ｘ光电子能谱等方法进行了表征。所合成的各异构体在催化以Ｈ２Ｏ２为氧化剂的顺丁烯二酸环氧化反应中，β３异构体具有最高的催化活性     

Design,Synthesis, and Characterization of Photolabeling Probes for the Study of the Mechanisms of the Antiviral Effects of Ribavirin

Ribavirin, the only small molecule available so far for treating hepatitis‐C‐virus infection, was recently used in an emergency context to treat patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in the early stages of the disease. To study the mechanisms responsible for the antiviral effects of ribavirin by using a photolabeling approach, we designed, synthesized, and characterized the azidotriazole nucleosides 1 and 2 as photolabeling probes of ribavirin. These probes were synthesized either by performing nucleophilic substitution of the corresponding bromotriazole nucleoside with NaN₃ (Scheme 2) or by directly coupling the azidotriazole with the protected ribose sugar (Scheme 4). The azidotriazole nucleosides 1 and 2 showed a fast, clear‐cut photochemical reaction, which suggests that they are promising candidates for use in photolabeling studies.     

A microcalorimetric study of the action of mercuric chloride on the metabolism of mitochondria isolated from Cyprinus carpio liver tissue

After the occurrence of 'Minamata disease' in 1950, mercury aroused much more attention, and lots of studies concerned have been made. The purpose of the present paper is to study the effect of mercuric chloride on the mitochondria suspension isolated from the liver tissue of Cyprinus carpio from the direct viewpoint of energy by using the microcalorimetric method. The metabolic thermogenic curves of the mitochondria suspension at 25°C were obtained, and the mitochondria metabolic thermokinetic equations were established, from which we obtained the thermodynamic and thermokinetic parameters: thermogenic rate constant (k), heat output (Q), average heat power (P_av), etc. Experimental results indicated that low concentration of mercuric chloride (5 nmol Hg²⁺/(mg protein)) stimulates the thermogenesis of mitochondria, suggesting a strong effect of uncoupling action, while high concentration of mercuric chloride (20 nmol Hg²⁺/(mg protein)) inhibits the metabolism of mitochondria completely, suggesting a fatal effect on the phosphorylation system. The effect of Hg²⁺ on mitochondria is concentration-depended, from which the probable reaction mechanism of Hg²⁺ to the mitochondria was proposed. So the microcalorimetric method can be used in the toxicology research.     

超疏水涂膜的研究进展

超疏水涂膜以其独特的性能，在国防、工农业生产和日常生活中有着广泛的应用前景。但目前的制备技术制约了其在建筑外墙涂料等大型设施方面的应用。探索如何采用简单有效的方法构造和调控涂膜的双微观结构，从而获得性能持久优异的超疏水性涂膜，并有效应用于生产和生活的各个方面是这一领域研究的最终目标。本文就超疏水材料表面理论的发展和近几年来超疏水膜制备技术取得的新成果进行了概括，并指出制备超疏水涂膜存在的问题和发展方向。利用表面能极低的含氟材料，将溶胶－凝胶、相分离技术和自组装梯度功能等技术有机结合，获得适宜的表面粗糙度和微观构造，是实现超疏水涂膜工业化生产的可行途径。

从化学定量构效关系、模式识别法、人工神经网络、波谱化学、多元校正分析法等方面对化学计量学在分析化学中的应用进行了综述。阐明了化学计量学在分析化学中的作用及广阔的应用前景。
