We characterize when the norm of the sum of two bounded operators on a Hilbert space is equal to the sum of their norms.

     

On the Essential Self-Adjointness of Wick Powers of Relativistic Fields and of Fields Unitary Equivalent to Random Fields

The essential self-adjointness on a natural domain of the sharp-time Wick powers of the relativistic free field in two space-time dimension is proven. Other results on Wick powers are reviewed and discussed.

本文讨论一类反对称正交对称矩阵反问题及其最佳逼近．研究了这类矩阵的一些性质，利用这些性质给出了反问题解存在的一些条件和解的一般表达式，不仅证明了最佳逼近解的存在唯一性，而且给出了此解的具体表达式．     

Norms on unitizations of banach algebras revisited

Let A be an algebra without unit. If ∥ ∥ is a complete regular norm on A it is known that among the regular extensions of ∥ ∥ to the unitization of A there exists a minimal (operator extension) and maximal (ℓ₁-extension) which are known to be equivalent. We shall show that the best upper bound for the ratio of these two extensions is exactly 3. This improves the results represented by A. K. Gaur and Z. V. Kovářík and later by T. W. Palmer. ON THE GENERALIZATIONS OF KALANDIA＇S LEMMA

Based on Bernstein＇s Theorem, Kalandia＇s Lemma describes the error estimate and the smoothness of the remainder under the second part of Hoelder norm when a HSlder function is approximated by its best polynomial approximation. In this paper, Kalandia＇s Lemma is generalized to the cases that the best polynomial is replaced by one of its four kinds of Chebyshev polynomial expansions, the error estimates of the remainder are given out under Hoeder norm or the weighted HSlder norms.     

Long-term optimal operation of series parallel reservoirs for critical period with specified monthly generation and average monthly storage

We present in this paper an efficient approach for solving the problem of planning the long-term (multiyear) operation of a multireservoir hydroelectric power system for the critical period with a monthly variable load. This load is equal to a certain percentage of the total generation at the end of the year, subject to satisfying a number of constraints on the hydrosystem, using the minimum norm formulation.The proposed method is efficient in computing time and in calculating the total expected benefits from the system during the critical period. Numerical results are reported for a real system in operation consisting of two rivers. 本文借助对图的本质独立集和图的部分平方图的独立集的研究，对于K1,r图中哈密顿圈的存在性给出了八个充分条件。我们将利用T－插点技术对这八个充分条件给出统一的证明，本文的结果从本质上改进了C－Q.Zhang于1988年利用次形条件给出的k-连通无爪图是哈密顿图的次型充分条件，同时。G.Chen和R.H.Schelp在1995年利用次型条件给出的关于k-连通无K1，4图是哈密顿图的充分条件也被我们的结果改进并推广到无K1,r图。

本文主要讨论了有界连通区域Dirichlet空间上Toeplitz算子的Fredholm性质,计算了符号在C1中的Toeplitz算子的本性谱和Fredholm指标．     

Quotient probabilistic normed spaces and completeness results

We introduce the concept of quotient in PN spaces and give some examples. We prove some theorems with regard to the completeness of a quotient.
