Bifurcations of one kind of reaction-diffusion equations, u″+μ(u-uk)=0(μ is a parameter,4≤k∈Z+), with boundary value condition u(0)=u(π)=0 are discussed. By means of singularity theory based on the method of Liapunov-Schmidt reduction, satisfactory results can be acquired.  相似文献

The inverse problem for a class of nonlinear evolution equations of dispersive type was reduced to Cauchy problem of nonlinear evolution equation in an abstract space. By means of the semigroup method and equipping equivalent norm technique, the existence and uniqueness theorem of global solution was obtained for this class of abstract evolution equations, and was applied to the inverse problem discussed here. The existence and uniqueness theorem of global solution was given for this class of nonlinear evolution equations of dispersive type. The results extend and generalize essentially the related results of the existence and uniqueness of local solution presented by YUAN Zhong-xin. Structure of nonnegative nontrivial and positive solutions was precisely studied for some singularly perturbed p-Laplace equations. By virtue of sub- and supersolution method, it is shown that there are many nonnegative nontrivial spike-layer solutions and positive intermediate spike-layer solutions. Moreover, the upper and lower bound on the measure of each spike-layer solutions. We investigate the long time asymptotics in L1+(R) for solutions of general nonlinear diffusion equations ut = Δϕ(u). We describe, for the first time, the intermediate asymptotics for a very large class of non-homogeneous nonlinearities ϕ for which long time asymptotics cannot be characterized by self-similar solutions. Scaling the solutions by their own second moment (temperature in the kinetic theory language) we obtain a universal asymptotic profile characterized by fixed points of certain maps in probability measures spaces endowed with the Euclidean Wasserstein distance d2. In the particular case of ϕ(u) ~ um at first order when u ~ 0, we also obtain an optimal rate of convergence in L1 towards the asymptotic profile identified, in this case, as the Barenblatt self-similar solution corresponding to the exponent m. This second result holds for a larger class of nonlinearities compared to results in the existing literature and is achieved by a variation of the entropy dissipation method in which the nonlinear filtration equation is considered as a perturbation of the porous medium equation.  相似文献

A class of nonlinear boundary value problems (BVP) for the second-order E2 class elliptic systems in general form is discussed. By introducing a kind of transformation, this kind of BVP is reduced to a class of generalized nonlinear Riemann-Hilbert BVP. And then some singular integral operators are introduced to establish the equivalent nonlinear singular integral equations. The solvability is proved under some suitable hypotheses by means of the properties of singular integral operators and the function theoretic methods. In this paper the dual reciprocity boundary element method is employed to solve nonlinear differential equation ∇2 u+u+ɛu 3 =b. The mixed finite element(MFE) methods for a shallow water equation systemconsisting of water dynamics equations, silt transport equation, and the equation of bottomtopography change were derived. A fully discrete MFE scheme for the discrete-time alongcharacteristics is presented and error estimates are established. By means of maximum principle for nonlinear hyperbolic systems, the results given by HSIAO Ling and D. Serre was improved for Cauchy problem of compressible adiabatic flow through porous media, and a complete result on the global existence and the blowup phenomena of classical solutions of these systems. These results show that the dissipation is strong enough to preserve the smoothness of ‘ small ‘ solution.  相似文献

In this paper, by ssing the theory of Fourier series, some necessary and sufficient conditions of existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions of a class of higher order neutral type equations are obtained. The main results by Shi Jianguo in “Discussion on the periodic solutions for linear equation of neutral type with constant coefficients” are improved, i. e., the condition |b0|≠1 instead of the condtion |b0|<1/2 of Theorem 1 by Shi Jianguo is given. The ill posed initial value problem of the Euler equations and the formal solvability of ill posed problem based on stratification theory are discussed. For some ill posed initial value problems, the existence conditions of formal solutions and the methods of how to construct a formal solution are given. Some new Saul‘ yev type asymmetric difference schemes for Burgers’ equation isgiven, by the use of the schemes, a kind of alternating group four points method for solvingnonlinear Burgers‘ equation is constructed here. The basic idea of the method is that thegrid points on the same time level is divided into a number of groups, the differenceequations of each group can be solved independently, hence the method with intrinsicparallelism can be used directly on parallel computer. The method is unconditionally stableby analysis of linearization procedure. The numerical experiments show that the method has good stability and accuracy.  相似文献

Nonlinear MHD Kelvin-Helmholtz (K-H) instability in a pipe is treated with the derivative expansion method in the present paper. The linear stability problem was discussed in the past by Chandrasekhar (1961)[1] and Xu et al. (1981).[6]Nagano (1979)[3] discussed the nonlinear MHD K-H instability with infinite depth. He used the singular perturbation method and extrapolated the obtained second order modifier of amplitude vs. frequency to seek the nonlinear effect on the instability growth rate γ. However, in our view, such an extrapolation is inappropriate. Because when the instability sets in, the growth rates of higher order terms on the right hand side of equations will exceed the corresponding secular producing terms, so the expansion will still become meaningless even if the secular producing terms are eliminated. Mathematically speaking, it's impossible to derive formula (39) when γ 0 2 is negative in Nagano's paper.[3]Moreover, even as early as γ 0 2 → O+, the expansion becomes invalid because the 2nd order modifier γ2 (in his formula (56)) tends to infinity.
