An improvement in the original constructions of exponential attractors is indicated. Namely, when the solution semigroup is -contractive and satisfies the discrete squeezing property, then even when the invariant set on which the semigroup acts is not compact, the original constructions carries through. We obtain the same conclusion for the construction with Lyapunov dimension for -constructions.  相似文献

The generalized form of the well-known Mathieu differential equation, which consists of two driving force terms, including the quadratic and cubic nonlinearities, has been analyzed in this paper. The two-dimensional Lindstedt–Poincarés perturbation technique has been considered in order to obtain the analytical solutions. The transition curves in some special cases have been presented. It is shown that the periodic solution does indeed exist and in general they are dependent on the initial conditions. Results of this analytical approach were compared with those obtained from the numerical methods and it is found that they are in a good agreement.  相似文献

The Wiener–Hopf technique is used to construct an analytical solution of the problem of vibrations of a semiinfinite elastic floating plate under periodic external loading. The solution is obtained in explicit form ignoring draft. The dependences of the amplitudes of surface waves and iceplate deflection on the loading distribution and frequency, ice thickness, and liquid depth are studied numerically. It is established that for some types of acting load, no waves propagate in the plate and liquid and the plate vibrations are standing waves localized near the loading region. An example of such vibrations is given and a condition for the occurrence of localized vibrations is found.  相似文献

A semiempirical method of determining the stabilization time for a quasisteady mode of gas exhaustion from a receiver after sudden opening of the nozzle and the time evolution of the real flow rate at the stage of the transitional process are considered. The numerical solution of the equations of exhaustion gas dynamics in a twodimensional formulation and the results of model experiments demonstrated that the method can be used to estimate the conditions of applicability of the quasisteadiness hypothesis and to determine the discharge coefficient of the nozzle with controlled accuracy.  相似文献

We study some rheological properties for polyamide-6 (PA-6) and a low concentrated clay nanocomposite melt based on polyamide-6 and montmorillonite. Simple shear experiments, carried out for both the neat system and nanocomposite at two different temperatures, include start up shear flows, stress relaxation after cessation of steady flow and oscillatory shear. The dynamic data for the neat PA-6 matrix differ markedly from that of the nanocomposite system, even if it has very low nanofiller concentration. Thermal stability of the PA-6 matrix imposed many restrictions on rheological studies of our systems. Therefore an experimental window was established via rheological and thermal characterization of the materials, wherein the polymer matrix was confirmed to be thermally stable. The relaxation spectra for both polymer systems were determined from linear dynamic experiments using the Pade-Laplace procedure. A rough estimation of nanocomposite volume fraction at percolation allowed us to attribute the occurrence of extra (relative to the neat polymer) Maxwell modes observed for the nanocomposite to the formation of a particulate network above the percolation threshold.  相似文献

We study critical points of a Ginzburg–Landau type functional with an attractive–repulsive–attractive nonlocal interaction. Using an appropriate scaling and -convergence method we reduce the problem to a finite dimensional one. In contrast to a similar problem with just an attractive–repulsive interaction, we obtain a richer set of solutions. The soliton-stripe patterns appear as skewed local minimizers of the free energy, and disappear or become symmetric as the number of interfaces reaches a certain threshold. We also show how other critical points can be constructed using results of the diblock copolymer problem.  相似文献

An isothermal flow of a twophase multicomponent mixture through a smalldiameter capillary tube is examined by the densityfunctional method. For low ratios of the characteristic radius of the capillary to its length, a general form of the dominating term in the asymptotic solution is found. An improved version of the law of mixture transfer is obtained. The form of possible corrections to the Darcy law for the filtration rates of the phases is discussed.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of the stability in the small of the steadystate spinning of a rotor with a cylindrical cavity partly filled with a viscous, incompressible, conducting liquid in a magnetic field. The responses of the buttend boundary layers and the resultant force exerted by the liquid on the rotor performing circular precession of small radius are determined. The plane of the viscoelastic restraint parameters of the rotor axis was Dpartitioned into regions with different degrees of instability is constructed. Steadystate spinning near the boundary of the region of stability in the space of parameters is studied assuming nonlinear responses of the supports. It is shown that passage through the boundary of the region of stability leads to bifurcation of the steadystate spinning regime, resulting in periodic motion of the type of circular precession. The origin ofperiodic motion from steadystate spinning can be subcritical or supercritical.  相似文献

The problem of the linear stability of steadystate axisymmetric shear jet flows of a perfectly conducting inviscid incompressible fluid with a free surface in an azimuthal magnetic field is studied. The necessary and sufficient condition for the stability of these flows against small axisymmetric longwave perturbations of special form is obtained by the direct Lyapunov method. It is shown that if this stability condition is not satisfied, the steadystate flows considered are unstable to arbitrary small axisymmetric longwave perturbations. A priori exponential estimates are obtained for the growth of small perturbations. Examples are given of the steadystate flows and small perturbations imposed on them which evolve in time according to the estimates obtained.  相似文献

A mathematical model of mechanics of a twovelocity twotemperature mixture of gases is developed. Based on this model, evolution of the mixing layer of two gases with different densities under the action of shock and compression waves is considered by methods of mathematical simulation in the onedimensional unsteady approximation. In the asymptotic approximation of the full model, a solution of an initialboundary problem is obtained, which describes the formation of a diffusion layer between two gases. Problems of interaction of shock and compression waves with the diffusion layer are solved numerically in the full formulation. It is shown that the layer is compressed as the shock wave traverses it; the magnitude of compression depends on shockwave intensity. As the shock wave passes from the heavy gas to the light gas, the mixing layer becomes overcompressed and expands after shockwave transition. The wave pattern of the flow is described in detail. The calculated evolution of the mixinglayer width is in good agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

Foamy oil flow is a term coined to describe a form of twophase oilgas flow that appears to occur during solution gas drive in some heavy oil reservoirs and does not fit the classical models of twophase flow. Most of the evidence supporting the presence of this unusual flow mechanism is circumstantial and comes from attempts to explain much higher than expected well productivity and primary recovery factors in several heavy oil reservoirs. This paper is a review of the available literature on foamy oil flow in primary production of heavy oils under solution gas drive.The mechanisms operating in solution gas drive in heavy oil reservoirs are briefly discussed. The issues related to supersaturation in oil phase, bubble nucleation, critical gas saturation, and relative permeability are discussed. The possible role of rate processes related to the release of solution gas and the formation of a segregated gas phase is reviewed. The porescale mechanisms involved in creation and propagation of dispersed gas flow are discussed. Several published mathematical models of foamy solution gas drive are reviewed with focus on their limitations.The review shows that the theoretical and experimental investigations of foamy oil flow are still in early stages. Although the occurrence of foamy oil flow has been verified in laboratory experiments, its existence at the reservoir scale has not been confirmed. The theoretical understanding of the mechanisms underlying foamy oil flow remains poor.  相似文献

In this article, we investigate a prey– predator model with Allee effect and state-dependent impulsive harvesting. We obtain the sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of order-1 periodic solution of system (1.2) by means of the geometry theory of semicontinuous dynamic system and the method of successor function. We also obtain that system (1.2) exhibits the phenomenon of heteroclinic bifurcation about parameter $\alpha $ . The methods used in this article are novel and prove the existence of order-1 periodic solution and heteroclinic bifurcation.  相似文献

In the paper anomalous diffusion appearing in a porous medium composed of two porous components of considerably different diffusion characteristics is examined. The differences in diffusivities are supposed to result either from two medium types being present or from variations in pore size (double porosity media). The long-tail effect is predicted using the homogenization approach based on the application of multiple scale asymptotic developments. It is shown that, if the ratio of effective diffusion coefficients of two porous media is of the order of magnitude smaller or equal O( 2), where is a homogenization parameter, then the macroscopic behaviour of the composite may be affected by the presence of tail-effect. The results of the theoretical analysis were applied to a problem of diffusion in a bilaminate composite. In this paper we present an asymptotic analysis of the three-dimensional problem for a thin linearly elastic cantilever =×(0,l) with rectangular cross-section of sides and 2, as goes to zero. Under suitable assumptions on the given loads, we show that the three-dimensional problem converges in a variational sense to the classical one-dimensional model for extension, flexure and torsion of thin-walled beams. New asymptotic approaches for dynamical systems containing a power nonlinear term x n are proposed and analyzed. Two natural limiting cases are studied: n 1 + , 1 and n . In the firstcase, the 'small method' (SM)is used and its applicability for dynamical problems with the nonlinearterm sin as well as the usefulness of the SMfor the problem with small denominators are outlined. For n , a new asymptotic approach is proposed(conditionally we call it the 'large method' –LM). Error estimations lead to the followingconclusion: the LM may be used, even for smalln, whereas the SM has a narrow application area.
