Nonlinearity of muscle stiffness

In this letter, a comparison between three types (two linear and one nonlinear) of models of skeletal muscle stiffness is shown. Results are compared with experimental data for biceps brachii in the case of muscle stretching and with the Hill equation for a biological muscle. It is shown that results for nonlinear stiffness model in case of length-force relationship fits to the experimental data.     

Modern information technologies in construction of kinetic models for reactions of metal complex catalysis

For detailed study of complex chemical reactions mechanisms experiment is conducted for selected private reactions. This causes a problem of kinetic parameters getting—the same set of rate constants must describe both public and private reaction stages, and also a general mechanism. In this paper, solution of this problem for a reaction of olefins hydroalumination is proposed. To optimize the computational process a methodology of parallelization is elaborated. On the base of parallel computations, a kinetic model for the reaction assigned is constructed, and on its base, the physical and chemical conclusions about reaction mechanism are done.     

Analytical study of the interface in fibre-reinforced 2D composite material

Imperfect bonding between the constitutive components can greatly affect the properties of the composite structures.An asymptotic analysis of different types of imperfect interfaces arising in the problem of 2D fibrereinforced composite materials are proposed.The performed study is based on the asymptotic reduction of the governing biharmonic problem into two harmonic problems.All solutions are obtained in a closed analytical form.The obtained results can be used for the calculation of pull-out and pushout tests,as well as for the investigation of the fracture of composite materials.
