Summary A solution method is developed for a laminated spherical shell, subject to uniform normal tractions or constant radial displacements on the boundary. Displacements and stresses in the shell can be obtained from the solution formulas, which are as simple as those for homogeneous spherical shells. These formulas are accurate when the thicknesses of the constituent spherical layers are small in comparison with the radii of the shell, and become exact in case these thicknesses tend to zero under a fixed overall shell thickness. The solution is obtained mainly by exactly treating the product of an infinitely large number of matrices which link the displacements and stresses in different constituent spherical layers. A continuous analysis and a number of numerical results are provided to validate this development. Received 4 December 1996; accepted for publication 12 September 1997  相似文献

应变增长现象威胁容器安全,研究应变增长现象的极限情况对爆炸容器的安全应用非常重要。本文中开展了球形容器爆炸加载实验,获得了应变增长系数达到6.1的应变数据,并利用数值模拟分析球壳弹性变形范围内振动模态叠加形成的应变增长现象的极限情况。研究表明:(1)应变增长现象符合几何相似律,影响应变增长的因素包括扰动源类型、扰动源半径与球壳半径之比、球壳厚度与球壳半径之比、第一个应变峰等,其中扰动源参数是主要影响因素。(2)当扰动源位移被完全约束、扰动源半径等于球壳半径时,球壳上可能的应变增长系数接近12。  相似文献

A domain decomposition method is used to analyze the free and forced vibration characteristics of a spherical–cylindrical–spherical shell, based on Reissner–Naghdi's thin shell theory. The joined shell is divided into some cylindrical and spherical shell segments along the meridional (longitudinal) direction. Double mixed series, i.e., Fourier series and Chebyshev polynomials, are employed as the admissible displacement functions to obtain the discretized equation of motion for the joined shell. Numerical comparisons with the results derived by FEM and those available in the previous literature are made to validate the present method. Moreover, the effects of length-to-radius and radius-to-thickness ratios on the natural frequencies are also investigated.  相似文献

A theoretical investigation is undertaken into the dynamic instability of complete spherical shells which are loaded impulsively and made from either linear elastic or elastic-plastic materials. It is shown that certain harmonics grow quickly and cause a shell to exhibit a wrinkled shape which is characterized by a critical mode number. The critical mode numbers are similar for spherical and cylindrical elastic shells having the same R/h ratios and material parameters, but may be larger or smaller in an elastic-plastic spherical shell depending on the values of the various parameters. Threshold velocities are also determined in order to obtain the smallest velocity that a shell can tolerate without excessive deformation. The threshold velocities for the elastic and elastic-plastic spherical shells are larger than those which have been published previously for cylindrical shells having the same R/h ratios and material parameters.  相似文献

Based on the elasto-plastic mechanics, the damage analysis and dynamic response of an elasto-plastic laminated composite shallow spherical shell under low velocity impact are carried out in this paper. Firstly, a yielding criterion related to spherical tensor of stress is proposed to model the mixed hardening orthotropic material, and accordingly an incremental elasto-plastic damage constitutive relation for the laminated shallow spherical shell is founded when a strain-based Hashin failure criterion is applied to assess the damage initiation and propagation. Secondly, using the presented constitutive relations and the classical nonlinear shell theory, a series of incremental nonlinear motion equations of orthotropic moderately thick laminated shallow spherical shell are obtained. The questions are solved by using the orthogonal collocation point method, Newmark method and iterative method synthetically. Finally, a modified elasto-plastic contact law is developed to determine the normal contact force and the effect of damage, geometrical parameters, elasto-plastic contact and boundary conditions on the contact force and the dynamic response of the structure under low velocity impact are investigated.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of equilibrium of a nonlinearly elastic spherical shell filled with a heavy fluid and resting on a smooth, absolutely rigid, flat surface. The weight of the shell is assumed to be negligible in comparison with the weight of the fluid filling it. The contact region with the supporting plane is one of the unknowns in the problem. Equilibrium equations for a membrane shell are obtained in an accurate nonlinear formulation. Stresses and strains of a shell made of a Mooney–Rivlin material are numerically investigated. The results are compared with calculation results for the case of inflation of a spherical shell ignoring the weight of the fluid filling. The effect of the fluid weight on shell strains and stresses is estimated.  相似文献

A semi-infinite cylindrical shell filled with a perfect incompressible liquid is considered. A vibrating rigid spherical segment placed on the shell axis excites the shell. The Laplace equation is solved under appropriate boundary conditions on the spherical, cylindrical, and flat surfaces bounding the liquid. Possibility is used to reexpand a spherical harmonic function in terms of a system of cylindrical harmonic functions and vice versa. The potential constructed is used to compute the shell deflections and the liquid pressure and velocity.  相似文献

In this paper we construct and investigate the vortex structure consisting of a spherical vortex (vortex core) inside a spherical vortex layer (shell). A partial case of this structure is a spherical vortex with uniformly helical motion of the fluid within the core and the shell. The strengths of the helical flows in the core and the shell are generally different. The case of identical strengths is analyzed in detail. The streamline pattern is presented. The vortex velocity limit at which the vortex does not collapse is found. This proves to be less by a factor 1.7 than the analogous quantity for a vortex without a shell and 4 times lower than the maximum velocity of the Hill vortex.  相似文献

结构中夹杂将导致应力集中,是降低结构承载能力重要影响因素,尤其是动载作用情况下,弹性波衍射和叠加将加剧应力集中程度。弹性波衍射方程建立和求解非常复杂,目前主要研究对象集中在二维模型情况,三维有限域内夹杂引起的动应力集中现象在大型结构中比较常见,有界域边界不仅作为边界条件,同时也是散射波波源,提高了求解难度。一般通过近似方法,将三维模型简化为二维情况,往往导致求解结果过于保守不能解释实际问题。本文针对三维球壳包含夹杂一般情况,分别以球壳和夹杂中心建立球坐标以描述球壳内、外壁和夹杂表面散射波势函数,并引入一种球波函数加法公式实现不同坐标下势函数转换,以求解应力集中状态。最后针对三维情况,给出多个动应力集中因子分布状态以描述动应力集中程度。文中研究为一般情况下含夹杂球壳结构的强度分析提供了理论支撑。  相似文献

Three models are adopted to analyze transient waves in a spherical shell enclosing an acoustic medium from a moving planar pressure discontinuity. The first model is a plane-strain thin ring. The second model is a spherical shell, and the third model is a plane-strain thick ring that modifies the thin ring model to include reflections across the thickness. All models agree that extensional motions of the shell control internal acoustic pressure of the fluid, and that flexural motions modulate average response by a small amplitude high frequency oscillation. The spherical shell model yields a temporary negative pressure opposite to the striking point and a persistent sharp drop in pressure close to the center. Magnitude of transient pressure depends on the separation between the coupled structural resonance and the internal acoustic resonance with pressure release at the boundary.  相似文献

利用二级轻气炮加载,进行了球状2A12铝弹丸垂直撞击圆柱壳自由梁实验。并进行了弹丸速度、圆柱壳直径和壁厚等因素对穿孔直径影响的数值模拟,数值模拟结果和实验结果基本吻合。通过量纲分析和数值模拟结合,推导了穿孔直径与相关影响参数的经验关系式。研究结果表明:当圆柱壳直径和厚度不变时,高速撞击产生的穿孔直径在径向和轴向都随着弹丸速度增大而增大;当弹丸速度和圆柱壳厚度不变时,高速撞击产生的穿孔直径随着圆柱壳自由梁直径的增大而减小;当弹丸速度和圆柱壳直径不变时,穿孔直径随着圆柱壳厚度的增大而减小。  相似文献

Dynamic axisymmetric elastoplastic interaction between a massive body and a simply supported, circular segment of a spherical shell is studied. The problem of determining the contactinteraction force is formulated for the case of spherical and conical bodies. A nonlinear integral equation is derived for various models of local plastic compression using the equations of equilibrium of a membrane spherical shell written in terms of radial displacement of the shell.
