Periodic solutions of a class of higher order neutral type equations

In this paper, by ssing the theory of Fourier series, some necessary and sufficient conditions of existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions of a class of higher order neutral type equations are obtained. The main results by Shi Jianguo in “Discussion on the periodic solutions for linear equation of neutral type with constant coefficients” are improved, i. e., the condition |b₀|≠1 instead of the condtion |b₀|<1/2 of Theorem 1 by Shi Jianguo is given. Other theorems by Shi are rebuilt and improved according to the new assumption. Foundation item: the Natural Science Foundation of Yunnan Province, China (97A012G)     

New collectively fixed point theorems and applications inG-convex spaces

By applying the technique of continuous partition of unity and Tychonoff’s fixed point theorem, some new collectively fixed point theorems for a family of set-valued mappings defined on the product space of noncompact G-convex spaces are proved. As applications, some nonempty intersetion theorems of Ky Fan type for a family of subsets of the product space of G-convex spaces are proved; An existence theorem of solutions for a system of nonlinear inequalities is given in G-convex spaces and some equilibrium existence theorems of abstract economies are also obtained in G-convex spaces. Our theorems improve, unify and generalized many important known results in recent literature.     

IMPULSIVE CONTROL FOR THE STABILIZATION AND SYNCHRONIZATION OF LUR＇ E SYSTEMS

An impulsive control scheme of the Lur‘e system and several theorems on stability of impulsive control systems was presented, these theorems were then used to find the conditions under which the Lur‘e system can be stabilized by using impulsive control with varying impulsive intervals. The parameters of Lur‘e system and impulsive control law are given, a theory of impulsive synchronization of two Lur‘e system is also presented. A numerical example is used to verify the theoretical result.     

Boundary element method for buckling eigenvalue problem and its convergence analysis

The conditions for determining solution of buckling eigenvalue problem are discussed. The corresponding system of integral equations with constraint conditions and boundary variational equations with Lagrange multiplier are established. The theorems on the existence and uniqueness of the solution for these problems are given. The corresponding boundary element method is constructed and the error estimation for the approximation solution is obtained. Finally the numerical example is given. A new method for the periodic solution of strongly nonlinear system is given. By using this method, the existance and stability of the periodic solution can be decided, and the approximate expression of the periodic solution can also be found. Dynamic shakedown theory of elastoplastic work-hardening structures allowing for second-order geometric effects

This paper is based on piecewise linear yield surface and discretization of structure. By allowing for inertial force, damping force and second-order geometric effects, the two generalized dynamic shakedown theorems are given for shakedown analysis of structure.The project is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and Jilin Provincial Applying-Basic Research Projects.     

MAXIMAL ELEMENTS FOR G-B-MAJORIZED MAPPINGS IN PRODUCT G-CONVEX SPACES AND APPLICATIONS (Ⅱ)

By applying existence theorems of maximal elements for a family of G_B-majorized mappings in a product space of G-convex spaces, some coincidence theorem, Fan-Browder type fixed point theorem and some existence theorems of solutions for a system of minimax inequalities are proved under noncompact setting of G-convex spaces. These theorems improve and generalize many important known results in literature. A new family of set-valued mappings from a topological space into generalized convex spaces was introduced and studied. By using the continuous partition of unity theorem and Brouwer fixed point theorem, several existence theorems of maximal elements for the family of set-valued mappings were proved under noncompact setting of product generalized convex spaces. These theorems improve, unify and generalize many important results in recent literature. Periodic vibro-impacts and their stability of a dual component system

The coexisting periodic impacting motions and their multiplicity of a kind of dual component systems under harmonic excitation are analytically derived. The stability condition of a periodic impacting motion is given by analyzing the propagation of small, arbitrary perturbation from that motion. In numerical simulations, the periodic impacting motions are classified according to the system states before and after an impact. The numerical results show that there exist many types of vibro-impacts and the bifurcation of periodic vibro-impacts is not smooth. Energy method for computing periodic solutions of strongly nonlinear systems (I) — Autonomous systems

In this paper a new method for solving for the periodic solution (limit cycle) of a strongly nonlinear system is suggested. Using this method not only the existence, stability and number of periodic solutions can be decided, but at the same time the approximate expressions for these periodic solutions can also be obtained. The proof of this method is given as well.The project is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
