Exact static analysis of a rotating piezoelectric spherical shell   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper gives an exact analysis of a rotating piezoelectric spherical shell with arbitrary thickness. At first, three displacement functions are introduced to simplify the basic equations of a spherically isotropic, piezoelectric medium. By expanding the displacement functions as well as the electric potential in terms of spherical harmonics, the basic equations of equilibrium are converted to an uncoupled Euler type, second order ordinary differential equation and a coupled system of three second order ordinary differential equations. A general solution to the homogeneous equations of equilibrium is then derived. The static analysis of a rotating spherical shell is then performed and numerical example is presented. A theoretical framework for analyzing low-energy impacts of laminated shells with active and sensory piezoelectric layers is presented, including impactor dynamics and contact law. The formulation encompasses a coupled piezoelectric shell theory mixing first order shear displacement assumptions and layerwise variation of electric potential. An exact in-plane Ritz solution for the impact of open cylindrical piezoelectric–composite shells is developed and solved numerically using an explicit time integration scheme. The active impact control problem of adaptive cylindrical shells with distributed curved piezoelectric actuators is addressed. The cases of optimized state feedback controllers and output feedback controllers using piezoelectric sensors are analyzed. Numerical results quantify the impact response of cylindrical shells of various curvatures including the signal of curved piezoelectric sensors. Additional numerical studies quantify the impact response of adaptive cylindrical panels and investigate the feasibility of actively reducing the impact force.  相似文献

The random response of a piezoelectric thick shell in plane strain state under boundary random excitations is studied and illustrated with a piezoelectric cylindrical shell. The differential equation for electric potential is integrated radially to obtain the electric potential as a function of displacement. The random stress boundary conditions are converted into homogeneous ones by transformation,which yields the electrical and mechanical coupling differential equation for displacement under random excitations. Then this partial differential equation is converted into ordinary differential equations using the Galerkin method and the Legendre polynomials,which represent a random multi-degree-of-freedom system with asymmetric stiffness matrix due to the electrical and mechanical coupling and the transformed boundary conditions. The frequency-response function matrix and response power spectral density matrix of the system are derived based on the theory of random vibration. The mean-square displacement and electric potential of the piezoelectric shell are finally obtained,and the frequency-response characteristics and the electrical and mechanical coupling properties are explored.  相似文献

横观各向同性压电材料的特征值的不同,其一般解的形式也不同,压电结合材料问题的求解,可以归结为寻找合适的调和函数,针对材料特征值为二重根(s1^2≠s2^2=s3^2)的情况,将变量分离形式的调和函数作特征展开,推导了横观各向同性压电材料轴对称异材界面端附近的奇民异应力场和奇异电位移场,给出院 决定奇异性的特性方程,结果表明,电位移场和应力场具有相同的奇异性,奇异性次数不仅与界面端形状以及材料的机械性质有关。也与材料的压电特性有关。  相似文献

利用多变量变分原理,针对具有机电耦合特性的压电材料,在哈密顿体系下推导出了机电耦合问题的对偶方程.求出了问题的零本征解和非零本征解的一般表达式。并就“二维压电平板对边受均布载荷”这一具体问题进行了完整的分析计算,得出了应力和电位移的具体解答,结果与一般弹性力学所得的结论相吻合,而且精度极高。表明哈密顿体系适用于压电材料的力学分析。  相似文献

For the orthotropic piezoelectric plane problem, a series of piezoelectric beams is solved and the corresponding exact solutions are obtained with the trial-anderror method on the basis of the general solution in the case of three distinct eigenvalues, in which all displacements, electrical potential, stresses and electrical displacements are expressed by three displacement functions in terms of harmonic polynomials. These problems are rectangular beams having rigid body displacements and identical electrical potential, rectangular beams under uniform tension and electric displacement as well as pure shearing and pure bending, beams of two free ends subjected to uniform electrical potential on the upper and lower surfaces.  相似文献

This paper presents a nonlinear model for cross-ply piezoelastic laminated plates containing the damage effect of the intralayer materials and interlaminar interfaces. The model is based on the general six-degrees-of-freedom plate theory, the discontinuity of displacement, and electric potential on the interfaces are depicted by three shape functions, which are formulated according to solutions about three equilibrium equations and conservation of charge. By using the Hamilton variation principle, the three-dimensional nonlinear dynamic equations of piezoelastic laminated plates with damage are presented. Then using the finite difference method and the Newmark scheme, an analytical solution is presented. In numerical examples, the effects of different damage models, damage evolution, amplitude and frequency of electric loads on the nonlinear dynamic response of piezoelectric laminated plate with interfacial imperfections are investigated.  相似文献

This paper presents the general solutions of antiplane electro-mechanical field solutions for a piezoelectric finite wedge subjected to a pair of concentrated forces and free charges. The boundary conditions on the circular segment are considered as fixed and grounded. Employing the finite Mellin transform method, the stress and electrical displacement at all fields of the piezoelectric finite wedge are derived analytically. In addition, the singularity orders and intensity factors of stress and electrical displacement can also be obtained. These parameters can be applied to examine the fracture behavior of the wedge structure. After being reduced to the problem of an antiplane edge crack or an infinite wedge in a piezoelectric medium, the results compare well with those of previous studies.  相似文献

Developing benchmark analytic solutions for problems in solid and fluid mechanics is very important for the purpose of testing and verifying computational physics codes. In order to test the numerical results of physics codes, we consider the geometrically linear dynamic sphere problem. We present an exact solution for the dynamic response of a spherical shell composed of a linearly elastic material exhibiting transverse isotropic symmetry. The solution takes the form of an infinite series of eigenfunctions. We demonstrate, both qualitatively and quantitatively, the convergence of the computed benchmark solution under spatial, temporal, and eigenmode refinement.  相似文献
