在兰州重离子加速器冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)上,用等时性质量谱仪首次研究了百微秒量级全剥离离子94mRu44+的衰变。94mRu44+由初级束流112Sn轰击Be靶产生,经过放射性束流线RIBLL2的筛选后注入到等时性设置的实验环CSRe中,并利用安装在实验环中的飞行时间探测器测量离子在CSRe中的循环周期。94mRu44+退激引起的质量改变会带来其循环周期的变化,由此直接观测到了94mRu44+退激到基态的过程。确定了本次实验中衰变事例探测的灵敏区间,并讨论了衰变发生时刻的测量精度。同时,测量了短寿命核素94mRu44+的质量,其半衰期约为100 μs,这是目前储存环质量谱仪测量的最短寿命核素的质量。The decay of the fully stripped ion 94mRu44+ in the order of one hundred microseconds has been studied for the first time by using the Isochronous Mass Spectrometry (IMS) at the HIRFL-CSR facility in Lanzhou. 94mRu44+ was produced via projectile fragmentation of a 112Sn primary beam bombarding on a 9Be production target. After the in-flight separation with RIBLL2, the ions were injected into the experimental ring (CSRe) and then stored there. The revolution times of the stored ions were measured by a Time-of-Flight (TOF) detector. Due to the mass change of a 94mRu44+ ion caused by its de-excitation to the ground state, hence the revolution time change, the decay process of 94mRu44+ could be directly observed in the CSRe. The sensitive window for detection of the decay events and the measurement precision of the decay time have been determined in this work. At the same time, we measured the mass of short-lived 94mRu44+ with the half-life about one hundred microseconds, which is the shortest among nuclides that have been studied by using storage-ring mass-spectrometry.  相似文献

Recent results and progress of mass measurements of neutron-rich nuclei utilizing Isochronous Mass Spectrometry (IMS) based on the HIRFL-CSR complex at Lanzhou are reported. The nuclei of interest were produced through projectile fragmentation of primary 86Kr ions at a realistic energy of 460.65 MeV/u. After in-flight separation by the fragment separator RIBLL2, the fragments were injected and stored in the experimental storage ring CSRe, and their masses were determined from measurements of their revolution times. The re-determined masses were compared and evaluated with other mass measurements, and the impact of these evaluated masses on the shell evolution study is discussed.  相似文献

在兰州重离子加速器冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)上,用初级束流112Sn35+轰击了靶厚约10 mm的Be靶,产生了101In的基态和低位同核异能态。这些实验产生的碎片每25 s经过放射性束流线RIBLL2的筛选后注入到实验环CSRe中,利用飞行时间探测器测量离子在CSRe中的回旋周期。在此次实验中,磁场晃动会导致离子在环内的循环周期发生改变,传统的离子鉴别方法难以完成大部分离子的鉴别。通过发展和运用单次注入离子鉴别这一新的离子鉴别方法,有效地消除了磁场晃动对于离子鉴别的影响,并清楚地将101In基态和低位同核异能态鉴别出来,从而首次在实验中观测到101In的低位同核异能态。实验得到的激发能与理论外推值在112 keV的误差范围内一致,其低位同核异能态的寿命大于200 μs。Isochronous mass spectrometry has been applied to 112Sn projectile fragments at the HIRFL-CSR facility in Lanzhou. To produce short-lived nuclei of interest, we used projectile fragmentation of 112Sn35+ primary beams in a~10 mm thick 9Be production target. The fragments were selected and analyzed by RIBLL2 and injected into the experimental storage ring(CSRe) every 25 s. To measure revolution times of stored ions,we used a Time-Of-Flight detector installed in CSRe. A new particle identification method was developed to distinguish ions on the measured revolution time spectrum for each injection. Based on this method, the shifts of the revolution time due to instable dipole magnet fields can be corrected and the ground and isomeric states of 101In have been well-resolved. The measured excitation energy is consistent with the theoretical value in the error range of 112 keV. The lifetime of the isomeric states of 101In is more than 200 μs.  相似文献

A pilot experiment of mass measurement was performed at CSRe with the method of isochronous mass spectrometry. The secondary fragments produced via RIBLL2 with the primary beam of 400 MeV/u ^36Ar delivered by CSRm were injected into CSRe. The revolution periods of the stored ions,which depend on the mass-to-charge ratios of the stored ions,were measured with a time-of-flight detector system. The results show that the mass resolution around 8×10^-6 for △m/m is achieved.  相似文献

为了提高兰州重离子加速器放射性次级束流线的束流强度,在现有的输运线基础上 ,设计了一个由一组超导螺线管和一个产生靶组成的次级束流增强系统.简要介绍了这个系统的束流光学设计原理和系统的初步设计.In order to meet the meeds of nuclear physic research, the beam intensity of RIBLL (Radioactivy Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou) should be improued. This can be carried out by two ways: increasing the primary beam intensity or improuing the transmission of the beam line. The concept of isochronous mass spectrometry(IMS) applying two time-of-flight(TOF) detectors originated many years ago at GSI. However, the corresponding method for data analysis has never been discussed in detail. Recently, two TOF detectors have been installed at CSRe and the new working mode of the ring is under test. In this paper, a data analysis method for this mode is introduced and tested with a series of simulations. The results show that the new IMS method can significantly improve mass resolving power via the additional velocity information of stored ions. This improvement is especially important for nuclides with Lorentz factor γ-value far away from the transition point γt of the storage ring CSRe.  相似文献

介绍了储存环高精度分子谱学研究的科学意义、 国内外研究现状和利用HIRFL-CSR开展该项研究的优势, 着重论证了HIRFL-CSR分子离子注入实验环的总体设计方案和技术方案。 通过在HIRFL-CSR实验环上增建一条分子离子注入线, 将实验环改造成能兼顾现有物理实验和大分子物理研究的综合性研究平台, 为分子离子复合离解研究提供良好的技术支撑。 特别是质量数大于70的分子离子, 能显著提高其能量分辨。 In the present paper, it is introduced the scientific background and the current status of the high precision spectroscopy of the molecular ions at cooler storage ring. The advantages to study the dissociative recombination(DR) processes using cooler storage ring CSRe are discussed. The physics design,the main parameters of the injection beam line and the injection of the molecular ions into the CSRe and the key techniques are described in detail. With a new injection beam line,HIRFL-CSRe will be reconstructed to a multi discipline research platform,offering good opportunities for the study of DR processes of molecular ions,especially for that of the molecular ions of m>70 amu with much improved resolution.  相似文献

The rare isotope 236U has a half-life of 2.342(3)×107 years,and is produced principally by thermal neutron capture on 235U.The isotopic atom ratio of 236U/238U depends on the integral thermal neutron flux received by the material of interest.236U is potentially useful as a "fingerprint" for indicating the presence of neutron-irradiated uranium usually originating from nuclear activity.By extracting negative molecular ion UO- from the uranium oxide target,simulating the 236U16O- beam transport with 238U16O- and 208Pb12 6O- pilot molecular ion beam,transporting the 236U-containing ion beam with a high resolution injection magnet analyzer and electrostatic analyzer system,and finally identifying and detecting 236U with a time-of-flight detector(TOF),a method for AMS(Accelerator Mass Spectrometry) measurement of 236U was established on the HI-13 Accelerator AMS system at China Institute of Atomic Energy.  相似文献

基于兰州重离子研究装置冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)发展了等时性质谱术(Isochronous mass spectrometry,IMS),高精度测量了一批短寿命原子核的质量并研究了核结构和核天体领域的相关物理问题。本文综述了IMS实验的原理和步骤,重点介绍了目前正在发展的双TOF探测器谱仪。利用双TOF质量谱仪在测量离子回旋周期的同时测量了离子的速度,用来修正实验结果,可以在很宽的动量接收度内实现高质量分辨,并消除离子动量分散带来的系统误差。双TOF等时性质谱术是全新的概念,需要针对性开发相关实验技术。我们建立了基于CSRe的模拟平台,研制了高性能TOF探测器并安装在CSRe直线段,进行了在线束流测试,发展了新的束流光学设置并进行优化,开发了实验数据处理方法并在做进一步优化,并对下一步工作进行了展望。  相似文献

丰中子重核区有大量原子核质量未知,迫切需要实验测量。我们建议,利用兰州重离子加速器研究装置HIRFL-CSR上的等时性质谱术,高精度测量204Pt等丰中子重核的质量。CSR质量测量实验中,在目标核产额尽可能高的前提下,需要每次注入都有多个离子同时储存到实验环CSRe中,才能针对逐次注入修正磁场晃动的影响,得到高精度测量结果。但在丰中子核区,当目标核产生截面非常低时,每次注入能储存到环中的离子数目太少。为了解决这个问题,我们提出了一种"混合厚度靶"的方法,在不明显改变目标核产额的情况下,显著增加同时储存在CSRe中的离子数,满足实验要求。模拟计算表明,在CSRe测量丰中子重核质量是可行的,并推荐了实验的设置。  相似文献

In this paper, we present direct mass measurements of neutron-rich86 Kr projectile fragments conducted at the HIRFL-CSR facility in Lanzhou by employing the Isochronous Mass Spectrometry(IMS) method. The new mass excesses of52-54 Sc nuclides are determined to be-40492(82),-38928(114),-34654(540) ke V, which show a significant increase of binding energy compared to the reported ones in the Atomic Mass Evaluation 2012(AME12).In particular,53 Sc and54Sc are more bound by 0.8 Me V and 1.0 Me V, respectively. The behavior of the two neutron separation energy with neutron numbers indicates a strong sub-shell closure at neutron number N =32 in Sc isotopes.  相似文献

With the commissioning of the Cooler Storage Ring at the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL-CSR),a pilot experiment operating the CSRe in isochronous mode to test the power of HIRFL-CSR for measuring the mass of the short-lived nucleus was performed in December of 2007.The fragments with A/q=2 of ~(36) Ar were injected into CSRe and their revolution frequencies were measured with a fast time pick-up detector with a thin foil in the circulating path of the ions.The preliminary result is presented.The result shows the potential of CSRe for mass measurements of short-lived nuclei.  相似文献

根据几种常用放射性核素的寿命计算方法,通过模拟数据研究了直接拟合法、对数时间法、极大似然法、观测时间受限时的极大似然法等四种寿命计算方法的适用范围。当观测时间不受限时,研究了在不同计数下寿命计算方法的适用范围。当观测时间受限时,研究了在不同观测时间窗口下寿命计算方法的适用范围。模拟中选用全剥离离子94mRu44+作为目标核素,得到了不同计数及不同观测时间窗口下的寿命及其误差,并给出了四种方法的适用范围。94mRu44+寿命的模拟结果与在兰州等时性质量谱仪上获得的实验结果在一倍标准偏差范围内一致,从而进一步验证了寿命计算方法的适用范围及模拟数据的可靠性。该模拟结果可为寿命测量实验设计提供理论依据和参考。  相似文献

The preamplifier based on the ASIC NINO for the Time of Flight system (TOF) of MPD/NICA was developed and tested. The signal is read from both sides of the strip of the multi gap Resistive Plate Chamber (MRPC). In total there are around 14000 channels of electronics. To measure time of flight of secondary particles from collision of heavy ions on the collider NICA the Time over Threshold (ToT) method is used. According to the bench tests the preamplifier board showed stable work and good time resolution <10 ps for one channel. It was also tested at the test beam facility of the Nuclotron. The time resolution of the TOF detector which used the described preamplifier was reached ~42 ps.  相似文献
