通过测试光延迟研究了聚酰亚胺LB膜的光学各向异性,分析了在LB膜成膜过程中成膜分子的流动取向特性,并研究了液晶的表面锚定能,分析了LB膜上液晶的取向机制.聚酰亚胺LB膜的链段的取向程度较强摩擦情形的聚酰亚胺表面的链段取向要差.强摩擦的聚酰亚胺会比聚酰亚胺LB膜具有更好的排列液晶分子的能力.LB膜的流动取向模式使得聚酰亚胺成膜分子沿拉伸方向形成一定的有序排列,并诱导液晶分子定向排列,液晶和聚合物分子相互作用是液晶表面排列的主要动力 关键词:  相似文献

研究了一种新型偶氮材料sy03在光控取向中的应用。将sy03加入聚酰亚胺SE-3310(Nissan)与N,N-二甲基甲酰胺(DMF)的混合溶液中作为90°扭曲向列相液晶显示(Twisted nematic liquid crystal display,TN-LCD)的光取向材料,测量由它作为取向膜的扭曲向列型盒的电光特性与仅用SE-3310取向的扭曲向列型盒电光特性比较,发现sy03偶氮的加入使得扭曲向列型盒的响应时间短到98 ms、阈值电压也降低到1.7 V左右。而且随曝光时间的增加,响应时间和衬比度都有所提高,电光响应曲线也更为陡峭。加热到150℃后,其电光特性并没有明显变化,证明了它良好的热稳定性。最后通过测量偏振紫外吸收光谱,分析得出液晶分子易取向方向与激发光源偏振方向垂直。  相似文献

本文提出利用染料掺杂液晶填充PI光控取向膜毛细管获得可调谐激光.采用532 nm YAG倍频脉冲激光器抽运,实验及理论研究了有聚酰亚胺(PI)取向膜和无PI取向膜毛细管的激光发射特性,对比分析了两种情形的激光产生阈值以及随温度变化的特性.结果表明:经PI光控取向处理的染料掺杂胆甾相液晶毛细管的激光发射模式具有分布反馈模式和回音壁模式,同时,激光产生阈值为4.5 m J·mm~(-2);发现当温度升高时,发射光谱发生"蓝移",中心波长调谐范围为5.9 nm,温度升高到43℃时,形成质量非常好的回音壁模式,其自由光谱范围为1.05 nm.经PI光控取向处理的染料掺杂向列相液晶激光发射模式为随机激光,并且较无PI取向时激光发射峰减少.  相似文献

根据取向透射率变化研究了偶氮苯侧链液晶聚合物在不同光照功率条件下的取向,用锥光干涉法表征了侧链介晶基元的取向方向,并研究了升温对取向膜的稳定性影响.实验结果表明介晶基元的取向速度和取向度都随光照时间和光照功率增加而增加|超过一定阈值功率(20 mW/cm2)时,随着光照时间延长薄膜的透射率(取向度)反而降低.高功率光照使侧链介晶基元发生了面内和面外两种取向,面外取向使聚合物膜的透射率降低.面外倾斜取向的介晶基元不稳定,在取向未达到饱和时停止光照,倾斜取向的介晶基元容易发生解取向,而面内取向的介晶基元则能维持取向的状态.用不饱和取向的方法,在光照功率为 20 mW/cm2时,取向时间缩短为饱和取向的1/20,薄膜的取向度提高1.3倍.4 ms的一次曝光足以使聚合物膜产生可读出、稳定的面内取向,取向的结果能保持2年不发生变化.  相似文献

提出光敏单体紫外光聚合制备液晶垂直取向膜的方法,并在实验中证实了方法的可行性.实验中采用六氟双酚A双肉桂酸酯单体,在紫外光作用下单体发生光交联反应,形成的聚合膜能够诱导液晶分子垂直排列.制备过程简单,不需要高温热处理过程.从紫外吸收光谱和红外吸收光谱分析发现,单体具有较好的光敏性和聚合度.取向膜经过120℃高温处理仍然具有良好的取向性质. 关键词: 光敏单体 光交联 液晶 垂直取向膜 六氟双酚A双肉桂酸酯  相似文献

提出了一种新颖的调节液晶光子晶体光子带隙的方法.光子晶体波导通过往二维三角形光子晶体的介质柱之间填充液晶得到,光诱导液晶取向以改变液晶的折射指数从而改变光子晶体的光子带隙.数值模拟结果表明:通过外界光场控制所填充的向列相液晶的方向可以对这种二维三角形介质柱光子晶体的禁带结构进行调节.与电场调制方法相比,该光控液晶取向技术具有响应速度快、结构简单的优点.这种可调光子晶体可用于制作新颖的光敏偏光片.  相似文献

本文以LB膜技术研究了向列相液晶的取向机理。选择了四种不同金属的可溶性酞菁化合物MPc-R4作为取向材料,拉制成LB膜,诱导向列相正性液晶E-7。通过对菁酞LB膜的表征和液晶取向及电光性能的研究,认为液晶的取向是由分子间的相互作用力决定的。  相似文献

Ultra-short high-intensity light pulses were utilized to induce the optical birefringence in a polyimide material possessing the azo-dye covalently bonded to the main chain. The obtained results showed that a two-photon absorption process was involved in a creation of the sample birefringence which, to the best of our knowledge, was not previously reported for polyimide materials. The growths and decays of birefringence were examined as functions of the pulse intensities. No damage to the material during the illumination process was detected in a wide range of optical powers applied. High birefringence level of the order of 0.005 was measured.  相似文献

We investigated the alignment induced on a nematic liquid crystal (LC) by a photo-aligned polymer film with azo-dye side groups. The orientation of the LC molecules can be manipulated in a reversible manner by irradiating the film with polarized light. We analyzed the competition between the orientation induced by the main chain, through rubbing of the film and that induced by the photo-aligned polymer. Anchoring strength for the different processing conditions are reported. The changes in film morphology caused by rubbing or photo-alignment could be captured by atomic force microscopy. The reversibility of the photo-induced alignment and the competition between the two anchoring mechanisms may allow recording and erasing of information in a LC display.  为探索不同的极化条件对分子取向的影响,用旋涂法制备了偶氮主客体掺杂薄膜,并用电晕极化的方法分别在不同温度和厚度条件下使分子取向,通过测量极化前后紫外-可见吸收谱,研究了平均取向因子的变化,并和二次谐波产生结果进行了比较。实验结果表明:对于厚度相同的偶氮薄膜,随着温度的升高,平均取向因子增大,但二次谐波信号强度先增大后减小;温度越接近聚合物玻璃转变温度,分子越容易取向,但温度过高,聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯变为粘滞态,部分偶氮分子容易在高温下蒸发掉,导致二次谐波信号强度降低,而平均取向因子增大;随着薄膜厚度的增大,针-板电极电场造成薄膜内部电场分布的不均匀性增加,极化效率降低,平均取向因子不断减小,二次谐波信号强度先增大后减小。  相似文献

The planar dark spatial soliton supported by the photo-induced isomerization and reorientation of azo-dye Disperse Red 13 was generated in bulk Disperse Red 13 doped poly (methyl methacrylate) using incoherent red light from a continuous-wave He–Ne laser. Poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) does not exhibit excimer laser etching behavior at conventional, e.g., single photon absorption, emissions of 193, 248, and 308 nm, due to the lack of polymer/photon interaction. This is not surprising since the electronic transitions available to the PTFE molecule are high energy and thus require short wavelength the radiation However, by incorporating a small quantity of material into the non-absorbing fluoropolymer matrix that interacts strongly with the emitted laser energy, e.g., a dopant, successful ablation, both in terms of etch rate and structuring quality occurs. Specifically, excimer laser ablation of PTFE films containing 5, 10, and 15% polyimide (wt/wt) as a dopant was achieved at 308 nm in a fluence range of 1 to 12 J/cm2. Ablation rates for the materials increased with increasing fluence and, at the polyimide levels investigated, varied inversely with dopant concentration. All compositions exhibited excellent structuring quality.  相似文献

Band energy structure of the n-doped zinc-blende semiconductor was calculated using norm-conserving pseudopotential and Green function methods. The calculations for the semiconductor with different dopant contents were performed in the presence of external circularly polarized axial and polar dc-field potentials. Changes in the spin density distribution for the clusters with different dopant concentrations and at different lattice temperatures and an enhancement of the spin-polarized delocalization states in the presence of the dc-field potential were observed. The observed photo-induced spin effects were explained within a framework of the band energy model of spin physics of taking into account of the photo-induced electron–phonon anharmonicity. The results are consistent with those obtained in experiments of photospintronics.  相似文献

Resonant four-wave mixing (RFWM) based on the photo-induced refractive index change in erbium-doped optical fibers is demonstrated experimentally. The erbium-doped fibers act as a saturable absorber at 1.536 μm pump wavelength. Dependence of efficiency of RFWM on the pump power, the dopant concentration, the fiber length, and the signal modulation frequency are analyzed using three types of erbium-doped fibers differing in dopant concentration. It is found that a signal modulation frequency higher than 10 kHz is required for the correct measurement. The RFWM efficiency is improved with an increase in the input pump power in a range up to 1.5 mW and the highest reflectivity of 5.1% is attained. The highest RFWM efficiency is achieved at αgsL ∼ 5 dB, which is in good agreement with the theory.  相似文献

We report on optically controlled image storage based on photo-induced alignment in azobenzene liquid-crystalline polymer films. Measurements reveal that the polymer film possesses photo-induced birefringence of large magnitude and the characteristic of long-term optical storage. The photo-induced alignment process is used for storing images. The stored image is read from the film placed between two crossed polarizers. It is demonstrated clearly that the alignment of the azo chromophores as well as the stored image can be easily controlled by choosing the appropriate polarization of the irradiating light or by rotating the film.
