提出了一种利用非线性二次曝光技术制作三角形光纤Bragg光栅的新方法.该方法只使用普通Bragg位相模板,采用两次曝光技术,通过控制光纤光栅的本地谐振波长和反射率,达到控制光纤光栅谱形的目的.第一次直接对光纤曝光,用来控制光纤光栅谐振波长;第二次通过位相模板曝光,用来控制光纤光栅的反射率.考虑到光敏光纤感光特性曲线的多项e负指数变化规律,按照"分步写入光纤光栅设计软件"进行曝光分布设计,利用"分步曝光光纤光栅写入系统"进行曝光控制,使用信息产业部第46研究所生产的DCS-01型光敏光纤,得到了线性范围1.24 nm、反射率为0~64%的三角形光纤Bragg光栅.三角形光纤Bragg光栅作为光纤光栅传感解调器件,在光纤传感领域具有重要应用价值.  相似文献

利用波动干涉理论推导了长周期光纤光栅的光栅方程. 利用色心模型和Kramers-Kronig原理,得到了长周期光纤光栅的中心谐振波长与曝光量的变化关系的理论公式,并进行了实验研 究. 理论和实验结果都表明,长周期光纤光栅的中心谐振波长与曝光量的关系按多项e负指 数之和规律变化,其变化率受到模板占空比的控制;另外,长周期光纤光栅的中心谐振波长 与模板占空比成反比关系. 关键词: 长周期光纤光栅 谐振波长 模板占空比  相似文献

We report on a wide wavelength tuning in a double-clad ytterbium-doped fiber laser. The laser cavity consists of an array of broadband high-reflection fiber Bragg gratings and a bulk grating as the output coupler and wavelength selection element. The proposed fiber laser configuration combines a low intracavity loss of the fiber Bragg grating mirrors with a wide wavelength tuning of the bulk gratings. We demonstrate a >70-nm wavelength tuning range, limited only by the available fiber Bragg gratings.  相似文献

Considering the presence of birefringence in Bragg gratings, the spectral polarization mode dispersion (PMD) and polarization dependent loss (PDL) induced power penalty of eye opening is examined for a network with cascaded Bragg gratings. It is shown that when the birefringence in the grating is less than 10−5, the induced power penalty is less than 0.1 dB for a network with up to 30 cascaded Bragg gratings. However, when the grating birefringence is on the order of 10−4, the induced power penalty can be as high as 5.6 dB for a network with 14 cascaded Bragg gratings.  相似文献

利用氢敏化处理的多模光纤制作了多模光纤光栅,并对多模光纤光栅的温度传感特性进行了实验研究与理论分析,表明这种光栅三个反射峰的布拉格波长随温度变化均呈现出良好的线性关系,并且重复性相当好,同一光栅的各反射峰的理论温度灵敏度系数都等于0.01nm/℃,实验测得的温度灵敏度系数为0.0098nm/℃或0.0099nm/℃,与理论分析相当吻合,这些特性与单模光纤光栅的温度传感特性接近相同。因此可以用多模光纤光栅代替单模光纤光栅开发光纤光栅传感器,以降低成本;这一实验结果还可以作为对多模光纤光栅进一步深入研究的参考。  相似文献

采用改进型Sagnac干涉光栅写入系统,利用532nm准带隙光曝光源和带+1/-1衍射级的相位掩模板,在两种不同直径的低损耗As_2S_3硫系玻璃光纤上刻写布喇格光栅,并研究曝光期间光栅的动态特性.实验表明,As_2S_3光纤布喇格光栅透射峰值随光纤直径的减小而增强;在曝光过程中,布喇格波长先是较快地向短波长方向移动,随着曝光时间的延长,布喇格波长缓慢地向长波长方向回复.曝光时间为800~1 000s时,在包层直径为140μm的As_2S_3光纤上获得质量良好的布喇格光栅光谱,其透射峰值可达-2.6dB,带宽为0.37nm.对As_2S_3硫系光纤纤芯的光敏性分析结果表明,折射率调制幅度和平均折射率变化随曝光时间分别可达到10-4和10-3数量级.  相似文献

报道采用光敏Er/Yb 光纤制作短腔Er/Yb 光纤光栅激光器的实验结果。激光谐振腔由一对直接写在30 m m 长的Er/Yb 光纤上、长度分别为6 m m 及10 m m 、反射率分别为90% 及98.6% 、3 dB带宽分别为0.28 nm 及0.26 nm 的光纤布拉格光栅组成, 激光器的泵浦阈值为8m W, 斜效率约14% , 输出光的信噪比为61 dB, 偏振模抑制比为30 dB。  相似文献

采用绝对测量原理的波长调制技术,光纤Bragg光栅可组成并行、串行和阵列WDM拓扑结构.分析表明,光纤Bragg光栅网络的工作原理类似于一个多宽带平面镜.利用光谱仪可测量上述光纤Bragg光栅网络的反射谱,其中,光源是宽带为~40nm的掺饵光纤放大器.当网络中的光纤Bragg光栅受扰动后,受扰光栅的反射谱发生相应的变化,即Bragg波长发生相应的偏移.结果表明,当事先确定了光纤光栅的波长调制范围,反射的峰值波长能反应光纤光栅传感网络的信息.值得注意的是~3nm的波长调制范围可满足~100℃和~2000με的参量测量.  相似文献

实现了使用3个级联的光纤Bragg光栅外腔半导体激光器3波长同时激射.3条谱线的峰值波长取决于光纤Bragg光栅的峰值反射波长,分别为1 531.5 nm、1 549.4 nm与1 554.8 nm.注入电流为52 mA时,激光器总输出功率为1 mW.该激光器的主要优点包括,由于输出波长被锁定在光纤Bragg光栅的Bragg波长上,因此输出波长稳定,谱线窄,成本低.可应用于多波长干涉测量以及全光通信等领域中.  相似文献

理论研究并实验验证了一种含有两段π相移的啁啾相移光纤光栅.采用F矩阵对啁啾相移光纤光栅进行计算并分析了该光栅的谱特性.含有两段π相移的啁啾相移光纤光栅可以在普通啁啾光栅透射谱阻带中产生双波长透射峰,透射峰位置直接取决于光栅中π相移的位置,透射峰的线宽和透射峰的波长间隔没有关系,仅随着啁啾率的增大而增大.采用带相位掩模的逐点扫描法对含有两段π相移的双波长啁啾相移光栅进行了制作,获得波长间隔为8 nm的双波长透射谱的光栅器件.该光栅的消光比和3 dB谱线宽分别为20 dB和0.08 nm,实验结果和理论设计一致.  相似文献

为实现近红外波段表面等离子体共振(SPR)模式的分裂和移动, 同时提高光栅基SPR传感器的品质因数, 提出了一种由双金属光栅构成的新型复合结构光栅, 并研究了其气体传感特性. 运用有限时域差分算法对该结构进行了数值模拟, 发现由复合金属光栅激发的SPR出现模式分裂的现象. 通过增大双金属光栅阵列间的相对位移改变原结构的对称性, 导致复合金属光栅分裂的SPR模式朝相反方向移动. 当相对位移量进一步增大到双光栅合并成新的单一光栅时, 随光栅结构对称性的恢复, 分裂的两共振模式最后又重新合并为一个模式. 如果待测物的折射率为1.01≤na≤1.05, 当相对位移量为0时, 基于复合光栅结构气体传感器的折射率灵敏度为1207.5 nm/RIU, 且品质因数达到1290.7; 当相对位移量为100 nm时, 与双共振模式对应的折射率灵敏度分别为1205.0 nm/RIU和1210.0 nm/RIU, 品质因数分别为1295.4和762.3. 因此, 复合光栅SPR传感器具有超高品质因数的性能, 使得它在生物化学传感领域中有巨大的应用潜力.  相似文献

We fabricated Bragg gratings in planar lightwave circuits and investigated their growth characteristics. The refractive index modulation of the gratings grew in the PLC with total fluence F by the power law δ n = AFB with A = 8.6 ± 0.9 × 10-8 and B = 1.47 ± 0.02. The PLC gratings as external reflectors for ECLs were controlled reasonably well by adjusting the writing conditions based on the power law and the coupled mode theory. The properties of fabricated PLC gratings were closely matched to the design parameters of the PLC grating. The single longitudinal mode oscillations of the ECLs were also demonstrated at 1309.5 nm and 1550.5 nm.  相似文献

基于N-腔镜谐振腔理论对全光纤激光相干合成进行了理论分析,数值模拟了迈克尔逊型相干合成激光器的光谱特性,对两个光纤Bragg光栅的中心波长差和两路光的光程差对合成光谱特性的影响给出了理论解释.用啁啾光纤光栅取代其中一个光纤Bragg光栅,使激光相干合成的带宽由0.3 nm拓展到1.0 nm.  相似文献

Characteristics of Fused Optical Fiber Grating Couplers with Tapered Shapes   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Fused optical fiber grating couplers (FGCs), in which Bragg gratings are written in the coupling regions of fused optical fiber couplers with tapered shapes along them are theoretically and experimentally investigated. By coupled mode analysis considering these tapered shapes, the drop efficiencies of the FGCs, which are inherently zero for the normal fiber couplers without grating, are calculated. The grating offset, which is the difference between the centers of grating and the coupler taper, is found to be effective to increase the drop efficiency of the FGC. It is determined that the tapered shapes influence the wavelength dependence of the drop efficiency and tolerate the grating offset precision. Apodizations for the grating of FGC are found to be effective in suppressing side lobes of the drop efficiency. Measurement of the wavelength characteristics of drop efficiency and the temperature characteristics of drop wavelength of the fabricated fused FGC confirm that the lightwave with specific wavelength can be dropped by the FGC and that the temperature dependence of the drop wavelength is similar to that of Bragg wavelength changes of usual fiber Bragg gratings.  相似文献

A novel fiber grating pair that consists of a conventional long-period fiber grating and a fiber Bragg cladding grating (FBCG) is proposed. The FBCG is a new type of fiber grating in which refractive index modulation is formed in the cladding. Through the coupled-mode theory, we accurately calculate the coupling coefficients between modes supported in the fibers. And some other mode coupling features in the fiber cladding gratings are analyzed in detail. The calculation of the modes involved in this paper is based on a model of three-layer step-index fiber geometry. Then, we have investigated the sensitivity characteristics for variation of the modulation strengths of the fiber Bragg cladding gratings’ resonance peaks and the long-period cladding gratings’ (LPCGs) dual resonant peaks. Finally, the modulation strength sensitivity of the grating pair’s three resonant peaks is demonstrated, and the results indicate that these grating pairs may find potential applications in optical fiber sensing.  相似文献

A novel intra-cavity fiber laser system is demonstrated for multi-point gas detection. The laser uses fiber Bragg gratings as wavelength-selective cavity mirrors and a tunable filter to tune the operating wavelength to the Bragg wavelength of a selected Bragg grating. The Bragg wavelengths of the gratings are chosen to be aligned to different absorption lines of a gas or gases, allowing gas concentrations at multiple locations to be determined.  相似文献

基于傅里叶模式理论分析了双层浮雕型导模共振光栅的共振效应,分别讨论了光栅的槽深、剩余厚度、周期以及填充系数对峰值反射率、带宽、旁带反射率的影响. 数据计算表明,欠刻蚀情形的误差宽容度远远优于过刻蚀情形,两者在光栅槽深相对误差小于15%的范围内,都能保证共振峰的衍射效率高于99.5%,在相同的误差范围内,共振峰线宽的相对误差将分别达到7%和60%,因此厚度误差集中反映在对共振线宽的改变上. 另外,光栅周期和填充系数的变化将明显改变共振峰中心波长和线宽. 关键词: 导模共振 平面波导 窄带滤波  相似文献

A novel B/Ge codoped fibre was proposed, which also has photosensitive depressed inner cladding. The transmission spectrum of written grating in this fibre verified its strong photosensitivity and suppression of cladding mode coupling. After taking the diffraction into account, a more exact equation of the Bragg wavelength tuning theory of phase mask method was given. Then 8 cascaded fibre Bragg gratings centered at different wavelengths were successfully written with 248 nm KrF excimer laser and one piece of 1067 nm phase mask. By tilting the phase mask, chirp was also written in each grating. At last, it compensated the dispersion of 44 km single mode fibre in the 8 × 10 Gbit/s wavelength division multiplexing system successfully.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a very reliable simulating algorithm to synthesize the physical parameters of a fiber Bragg grating structure from its reflection spectrum. The knowledge of the gratings parameters allows the determination of the maximum wavelength. The algorithm is then tested to monitor the shift of the central wavelength in response to a change of temperature. Our numerical program uses the transfer matrix method and the Nelder–Mead simplex algorithm. It can be easily implemented in the case of twin Bragg gratings. A twin grating is composed of two identical gratings separated by a short length of fiber. The demodulation technique has been tested experimentally with temperature sensors. It is very accurate and provides absolute measurements.  相似文献

In this paper, we make an investigation into the reflectance performance of the Si3N4 self-suspended subwavelength grating (SSG) via changing several parameters including the incident wavelength, the grating period, the grating thickness and the grating filling ratio. For TM polarization of incidence, numerical results by the rigorous coupled-wave method reveal that the reflectance spectrum of the Si3N4 SSG has a narrow linewidth (less than 1 nm), high peak reflectance (100%), and low side bands (less than 0.5%) simultaneously in the optical telecommunication wavelength region. By using a micro-electromechanical-systems actuator, it is believed that the Si3N4 SSG should serve as tunable optical filters in optical telecommunication systems.  相似文献
