从标量Helmholtz方程出发,推导了对数饱和非线性介质中光场满足的非线性Schr dinger方程(NLSE)。通过与梯度折射率下的光场满足的方程比较,发现高斯光束在对数型饱和非线性介质中可自诱导梯度折射率。利用数值计算,详细地讨论了自诱导梯度折射率对高斯光束传输特性的影响。发现高斯光束在其自诱导的梯度折射率的影响下,呈振荡形式的准稳定的传输。光束注入介质中的初始状态,直接影响着光束的振荡形式(先发散还是先聚焦)、振荡深度(幅度)、振荡周期。得到高斯光束形成孤子的条件,以及若使高斯光束在对数饱和非线性介质中保持小损耗、高稳定的传输,应该使光束在阈值(孤子条件)附近注入介质的结论。  相似文献

In this paper, we present the (1+1)-dimensional inhomogeneous nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation that describes the propagation of optical waves in nonlinear optical systems exhibiting optical lattice, inhomogeneous nonlinearity and varying diffraction at the same time. A series of interesting properties of spatial solitons are found from the numerical calculations, such as the stable propagation in the a nonperiodic optical lattice induced by periodic diffraction variations and periodic nonlinearity variations. Finally, the interaction of neighboring spatial solitons in a nonperiodic optical lattice is discussed, and the results reveal that two spatial solitons can propagate periodically and separately in the optical lattice without interaction.  相似文献

In this paper, a similarity transformation is presented to reduce the generalized (3 + 1)-dimensional cubic–quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with distributed coefficients to the related constant-coefficients one. Then a number of spatiotemporal self-similar wave solutions are constructed. Under the specific choice of the dispersion, cubic and quintic nonlinearities, phase modulation and the gain/loss, we investigate the dynamical behaviors of those spatiotemporal self-similar waves in an inhomogeneous optical fiber media.  相似文献

We elaborate the theory of reflection of an optical signal beam from an inhomogeneous channel created by a high-power laser beam of different frequency in a nonlinear defocusing medium. We study the effects of total internal reflection and nonlinear diffraction in the interaction of these beams. We derive and analyze the equation for the trajectory of the reflected signal beam and obtain the expression for the critical value of beam-intersection angle below which the total internal reflection occurs. We discuss the results of numerical modeling of nonlinear Schr¨odinger equations for envelopes of the beams in media with quadratic, photorefractive, and thermal nonlinearities. We present experimental data on the interaction of beams of argon and helium–neon lasers in a cuvette with tinted alcohol.  相似文献

We investigate the enhancement of Kerr nonlinearities in an asymmetric coupled double quantum-well (CQW) by analyzing the nonlinear optical response. With the consideration of real parameters in AlGaAs-based CQWs, we indicate the possibility to obtain the giant Kerr nonlinearities with the cancellation of linear absorption simultaneously. We also reveal both analytically and numerically that under appropriate conditions a probe field with very low intensity can evolve into a stable shape-preserving waveform that propagates with a slow group velocity. The stability of such slow optical solitons is also demonstrated numerically.  相似文献

We analytically study the (1 + 1)-dimensional spatial optical solitons in weakly nonlocal nonlinear media with cubic–quintic nonlinearity (fifth order nonlinear media) and cubic–quintic–septic nonlinearity (seventh order nonlinear media). 利用变分法研究了(2+1)维圆对称双曲正割光束在弱非局域非线性介质中的传输,得到了描述光束束宽、相位、波前曲率、振幅演化的一组微分方程,并得到了光束做孤子传输的临界功率;通过稳定性分析给出了弱非局域情形非局域效应对光束传输的稳定作用的定量描述,从而自洽地阐述了由不稳定的(2+1)维克尔孤子到稳定的(2+1)维弱非局域孤子的过渡情形. 数值模拟的结果验证了变分计算结果的正确性,并说明圆对称的双曲正割函数是(2+1)维弱非局域空间孤子的很好的近似. 关键词: 双曲正割光束 弱非局域非线性介质 空间光孤子  相似文献

从非线性Schrdinger方程出发,应用数学解析的方法,详细讨论了在饱和非线性介质中(2+1)维空间光学孤子存在满足物理意义的自洽解的条件,给出数值计算所需要的边界条件。通过数值计算,给出了基模和一阶模在某一组参数下的部分模式的光场慢变包络、光强度的二维和三维分布的直观图形,以及相应能量(无量纲)。结果表明,孤子的存在不是任意的,而是依赖于一定的能量。当光脉冲能量不足以支持孤子的存在时,其解呈振荡形式,说明不存在孤子解。同时还给出介质的饱和参数、孤子在传播方向上的波矢k对孤子模式的影响等有意义的结论。  相似文献

We construct explicit novel solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with spatiotemporal modulation of the nonlinearities and potentials. By using a modified similarity transformation we explore some localized nonlinearities and combined time-dependent magnetic–optical potentials in the form of linear-lattice ones and harmonic-lattice ones. Several families of exact localized nonlinear wave solutions in terms of Mathieu and elliptic functions corresponding to these potentials are then studied, such as snakelike solitons and breathing solitons. The stability of the obtained localized nonlinear wave solutions is investigated numerically such that some stable solutions are found.  相似文献

The influence of relativistic-ponderomotive nonlinearities and the plasma inhomogeneity on the nonlinear interaction between a high-power laser beam and a warm underdense plasma are studied. It is clear that the relativistic ponderomotive force and the electron temperature modify the electron density distribution and consequently change the dielectric permittivity of the plasma. Therefore, by presenting the modified electron density and the nonlinear dielectric permittivity of the warm plasma, the electromagnetic wave equation for the propagation of intense laser beam through the plasma is derived. This nonlinear equation is numerically solved and the distributions of electromagnetic fields in the plasma, the variations of electron density, and plasma refractive index are investigated for two different background electron density profiles. The results show that the amplitude of the electric field and electron density oscillations gradually increase and decrease, during propagation in the inhomogeneous warm plasma with linear and exponential density profiles, respectively, and the distribution of electron density becomes extremely sharp in the presence of intense laser beam. It is also indicated that the electron temperature and initial electron density have an impact on the propagation of the laser beam in the plasma and change the plasma refractive index and the oscillations' amplitude and frequency. The obtained results indicate the importance of a proper choice of laser and plasma parameters on the electromagnetic field distributions, density steepening, and plasma refractive index variations in the interaction of an intense laser beam with an inhomogeneous warm plasma.  相似文献

Filamentation behavior of femtosecond laser pulses in the air in presence of aerosol on the optical path is simulated numerically on basis of (3D + 1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The effect of a localized attenuating layer modeling an aerosol medium, on spatial extension and evolution of the light filament is investigated. For the first time, it is shown that filamentation length depends not only on the optical depth of the aerosol layer and pulse peak power, but also on aerosol location on the propagation path and its spatial extension along the beam. The length of the filament is maximal if the nonlinear focus of the beam is located behind the aerosol layer rather than before it.  相似文献

采用物理吸附方法制备出多孔硅和偶氮化合物染料分散红(DR1)的复合薄膜.用单光束扫描法研究了多孔硅/ DR1复合膜的三阶非线性光学性质,测量了在1064 nm处多孔硅/DR1复合膜的双光子吸收系数和非线性折射率.实验结果表明,同多孔硅相比,多孔硅/DR1复合膜三阶非线性光学效应明显得到了增强.  相似文献

 从非局域非线性薛定谔方程出发,采用分步傅里叶算法数值讨论了在一定的非局域程度条件下,(1+2)维空间光孤子的传输特性, 数值求解了光孤子各特性参量。假定非局域克尔介质的响应函数为高斯型,得出了在一定的非局域程度条件下空间光孤子的数值解,并数值证明了它们的稳定性。结果表明:(1+2)维光孤子对非局域程度依赖性很强。在一定的非局域程度下,光束能以光孤子态在非局域克尔介质中稳定传输。强非局域时,光孤子的波形是高斯型,其它的非局域程度下,不是高斯型。当非局域程度较弱时,不存在孤子解。  相似文献

Compression and stretching of ring-vortex solitons, which is a novel self-similar solution of(2+1)-dimensional diffraction decreasing waveguide, is investigated analytically and numerically. We obtain the ring-vortex solitons via the similarity transformation method. The distance modulation for the width, the diffraction, and the nonlinear response, strongly affects the form and the behavior of the self-similar vortex, and facilitates the efficient compression of optical waves. This approximate ring-vortex solitons can reflect the real properties of self-similar optical vortex beams during propagation under certain parameter window selection. Specific examples and figures are given to illustrate discussed features. The results obtained in this paper may have potential values for all-optical data-processing schemes and the design of beam compressors and amplifiers.  相似文献
