This is a study of the equilibrium statistical mechanics of a mixed system of planar spins and Ising spins. The Ising spins σr are situated (one on each of the bonds connecting the planar spins sr so that the planar spins interact only via Ising spins. For a one-dimensional lattice the partition function and the two-spin correlation functions (σrσr1 and Sr·Sr1) are calculated ex actly in terms of modified Bessel functions.

For a two-dimensional anisotropic generalization of the model an equation is given for the critical temperature and the equation is shown to have one and only one solution Tc such that 0<Tc<∞.  相似文献

The Dirac equation in six-dimensional relativity (three space and three time) is considered and shown to correspond to particles which have spatial spin-1/2 and temporal spin-1/2. Explicit forms of the spinor transformation are found. Plane wave solutions are obtained and their properties are given in terms of spatial and temporal spins and helicities. An expression is found for the charge conjugation operator.  相似文献

The critical behaviors of the trilayer Bethe lattice in the form of spin-(1/2,3/2,1/2) with the exterior two layers consisting of spin-1/2 and the interior one having only spin-3/2 Ising spins are studied in terms of the recursion relations with either ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic bilinear exchange interactions between the nearest-neighbor spins. The ground-state phase diagrams are calculated and it is found that the model presents six different ground state phase configurations. The thermal variations of the order-parameter and free energy are investigated, therefore, topologically different phase diagrams of the model are obtained. It is found that the model exhibits second- and first-order phase transitions, tricritical and bicritical points for the values of the coordination numbers q=3, 4 and 6 and, the reentrant behavior for q=4 and 6, respectively.  相似文献

We numerically investigate the thermal entanglements of spins (1/2, 1) and spins (1/2, 1/2) in the three-mixed (1/2, 1, 1/2) anisotropic Heisenberg XXZ spin system on a simple triangular cell under an inhomogeneous magnetic field. We show that the external magnetic field induces strong plateau formation in the pairwise thermal entanglement for fixed parame-ters of the Hamiltonian in the cases of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions. We also .observe an unexpected critical point at finite temperature in the thermal entanglement of spins (1/2, 1) for the antiferromagnetic case, while the entanglement of spins (1/2, 1) in the ferromagnetic case and the entanglement of spins (1/2, 1/2) in both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic cases almost decay exponentially to zero with increasing temperature. The critical point in the en-tanglement of spins (1/2, 1) in the antiferromagnetic case may be a signature of the quantum phase transition at finite temperature.  相似文献

A general theory of spin-lattice nuclear relaxation of spins I=1/2 caused by dipole-dipole couplings to quadrupole spins S1, characterized by a non-zero averaged (static) quadrupole coupling, is presented. In multispin systems containing quadrupolar and dipolar nuclei, transitions of spins 1/2 leading to their relaxation are associated through dipole-dipole couplings with certain transitions of quadrupole spins. The averaged quadrupole coupling attributes to the energy level structure of the quadrupole spin and influences in this manner relaxation processes of the spin 1/2. Typically, quadrupole spins exhibit also a complex multiexponential relaxation sensed by the dipolar spin as an additional modulation of the mutual dipole-dipole coupling. The proposed model includes both effects and is valid for an arbitrary magnetic field and an arbitrary quadrupole spin quantum number. The theory is applied to interpret fluorine relaxation profiles in LaF3 ionic crystals. The obtained results are compared with predictions of the 'classical' Solomon relaxation theory.  相似文献

The sandwiched trilayer of Bethe lattices in the form of the spins with spin-(1/2,1,1/2) Ising model is studied in terms of the recursion relations with either ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic type bilinear interactions between the nearest-neighbor (NN) spins. The ground-state (GS) phase diagrams are obtained and it was found that the model presents six different GS phase configurations. In order to obtain the phase diagrams, the thermal variations of the order-parameter, spin-spin correlation functions and free energy are analyzed and different topological phase diagrams are obtained. It was found that the system exhibits different critical behaviors such as, second- and first-order phase transitions, tricritical and bicritical points for the values of the coordination numbers q=3,4 and 6.  相似文献

Broadband implementations of time-optimal geodesic pulse elements are introduced for the efficient creation of effective trilinear coupling terms for spin systems consisting of three weakly coupled spins 1/2. Based on these pulse elements, the time-optimal implementation of indirect SWAP operations is demonstrated experimentally. The duration of indirect SWAP gates based on broadband geodesic sequence is reduced by 42.3% compared to conventional approaches.  相似文献

In the present work, we initially verify anisotropy effect on the heat capacity of a mixed-three-spin(1/2,1,1/2) system(where spins(1/2,1/2) have XY interaction and spins(1,1/2) have Ising interaction together) at finite temperatures, then,the pairwise entanglement for spins(1/2,1/2), by means of negativity(as a measure of entanglement) as a function of the temperature T, homogeneous magnetic field B, and anisotropy parameter γ is investigated. In addition, we show that one can find magnetic phase transition points for the spins(1/2,1/2) at finite temperatures and understand properly their behavior with respect to the magnetic field and the anisotropy parameter, via the negativity function. An interval of the magnetic field from the negativity diagram of the spins(1/2,1/2) is presented in which quantum phase transition occurs for the tripartite mixed-three-spin system. Finally, some new interesting entanglement witnesses are introduced by using non-degenerate perturbation theory for the mixed-three-spin system.  相似文献

Magnetic properties of anisotropic crystals with localized spins S = 1 are investigated; for these crystals, the Hamiltonian is derived in the Heisenberg-Dirac-van Vleck form, which includes biquadratic contributions apart from bilinear terms. The ground-state energy of the antiferromagnetic chain of spins S = 1 is calculated in the model of nearest neighbors, and the interaction constant is renormalized using the renorm group method in the case of coarsening of the system. The temperature criterion for the formation of long-range order in the system is obtained. The excitations of this chain in the linear approximation have a dispersion relation differing from that for antiferromagnets with spin S = 1/2 and are separated by an energy gap from the ground state. Allowance for nonlinear contribution leads to the formation of a solitary wave in the form of a dark-bright soliton.  相似文献

For the time being isotropic three-body exchange interactions are scarcely explored and mostly used as a tool for constructing various exactly solvable one-dimensional models, although, generally speaking, such competing terms in generic Heisenberg spin systems can be expected to support specific quantum effects and phases. The Heisenberg chain constructed from alternating S = 1 and σ = 1/2 site spins defines a realistic prototype model admitting extra three-body exchange terms. Based on numerical density-matrix renormalization group (DMRG) and exact diagonalization (ED) calculations, we demonstrate that the additional isotropic three-body terms stabilize a variety of partially-polarized states as well as two specific non-magnetic states including a critical spin-liquid phase controlled by two Gaussinal conformal theories as well as a critical nematic-like phase characterized by dominant quadrupolar S-spin fluctuations. Most of the established effects are related to some specific features of the three-body interaction such as the promotion of local collinear spin configurations and the enhanced tendency towards nearest-neighbor clustering of the spins. It may be expected that most of the predicted effects of the isotropic three-body interaction persist in higher space dimensions.  相似文献

A two-dimensional decorated Ising model with ν-dimensional vector spins and Ising spins of magnitude s is considered. The partition function, magnetization and correlation functions are expressed in terms of the average of functions of the spins of the Ising model with effective exchange constants. These results, although derived for a two-dimensional lattice, are valid for a lattice of arbitrary dimensionality. The phase diagram is obtained exactly in the zero external field and two-dimensional lattice for arbitrary values of s and ν, and, as expected, three transition temperatures are obtained for some values of the parameters. It is also shown that for |S|=1, s>12 there is an additional ordered phase (up-down/up-down), and for |S|=ν12 this additional phase can be either up-down/up-down or up-up/down-down depending on the values of ν and s.  相似文献

The dynamics of two coupled spins-1/2 coupled to a spin-bath is studied as an extended model of the Tessieri--Wilkie Hamiltonian. The pair of spins served as an open subsystem is prepared in one of the Bell states and the bath consisting of some spins-1/2 is in a thermal equilibrium state from the very beginning. It is found that with increasing coupling strength of the bath spins, the bath forms a resonant antiferromagnetic order. The polarization correlation between the two spins of the subsystem and the concurrence of it are recovered to some extent in the isolated subsystem. This suppression of the subsystem decoherence may be used to control the quantum devices in practical applications.  相似文献

Nuclear ground state spins of the odd-mass strontium isotopes between A=79 and 97 were determined by measurements of the hyperfine structure in the ionic transition 5s2S1/2?5p2P3/2. The spins of93Sr and97Sr are revised to I=5/2 and I=1/2, respectively, while assignments for the remaining isotopes are confirmed.  相似文献

We analytically investigate Multiple Quantum (MQ) NMR dynamics in a mixed-three-spin (1/2,1,1/2) system with XXX Heisenberg model at the front of an external homogeneous magnetic field B. A single-ion anisotropy property ζ is considered for the spin-1. The intensities dependence of MQ NMR coherences on their orders (zeroth and second orders) for two pairs of spins (1,1/2) and (1/2,1/2) of the favorite tripartite system are obtained. It is also investigated dynamics of the pairwise quantum entanglement for the bipartite (sub)systems (1,1/2) and (1/2,1/2) permanently coupled by, respectively, coupling constants J1 and J2, by means of concurrence and fidelity. Then, some straightforward comparisons are done between these quantities and the intensities of MQ NMR coherences and ultimately some interesting results are reported. We also show that the time evolution of MQ coherences based on the reduced density matrix of the pair spins (1,1/2) is closely connected with the dynamics of the pairwise entanglement. Finally, we prove that one can introduce MQ coherence of the zeroth order corresponds to the pair spins (1,1/2) as an entanglement witness at some special time intervals.  相似文献

We calculate the ground state phase diagrams of a mixed Ising model on a square lattice where spins S (± 3/2, ± 1/2) in one sublattice are in alternating sites with spins Q (± 5/2, ± 3/2, ± 1/2), located on the other sublattice. The Hamiltonian of the model includes first neighbor interactions between the S and Q spins, next-nearest-neighbor interactions between the S spins, and between the Q spins, and crystal field. The topologies of the phase diagrams depend on the values of the parameters in the Hamiltonian. The diagrams show some key features: coexistence between regions, points where two, three, four, five and six states can coexist. Besides being very useful as a way to check the low temperature limit of the finite-temperature phase diagram, often obtained by mean-field theories, the richness of the ground state diagrams for certain combinations of parameters can be used as a guide to explore interesting regions of the finite-temperature phase diagram of the model.  相似文献

Based on the solution to Bargmann-Wigner equation for a particle with arbitrary half-integral spin, a direct derivation of the projection operator and propagator for a particle with arbitrary half-integral spin is worked out. The projection operator constructed by Behrends and Fronsdal is re-deduced and confirmed and simplified, the general commutation rules and Feynman propagator with additional non-covariant terms for a free particle with arbitrary half-integral spin are derived, and explicit expressions for the propagators for spins 3/2, 5/2 and 7/2 are provided.  相似文献

The gamma rays of99Tc excited through negatron decay of99Mo have been studied by internal conversion spectroscopy, using a high resolution double focusing beta-ray spectrometer. Conversion electrons were observed for all transitions reported before. In addition a new gamma ray of energy 989.37±1.02 keV could be identified and ascribed for the first time to the decay of99Mo. Gamma-ray energies have been determined with high precision. Multipolarity data, obtained from the measurements of absolute or ratio of conversion coefficients of gamma rays, were utilized for assigning possible spins and parities to the levels of99Tc. From our present data combined with other studies spins and parities; 7/2+, 1/2?, 5/2+, 3/2?, 3/2+ and 5/2? have been given to the 140, 142, 181, 514, 922 and 1131 keV levels respectively. The experimental level scheme is discussed in terms of theoretical predictions.  相似文献

Levels in 146,148Nd have been populated in the 150Nd(, ′ xn) reactions. Cascades of enhanced E1 transitions have been observed. B(E1)/B(E2) branching ratios, of the order of 10−6 fm−2 as well as the presence of low energy negative-parity bands indicate strong octupole effects. Shell correction type calculations suggest an explanation in terms of octupole correlations at medium spins.  相似文献
