研究了垂直光轴入射的傍轴光束在单轴晶体中传输的矢量性质.通过角谱的方法得到了寻常光(o光)和非常光(e光)在晶体中传输的严格解,并得到了傍轴近似下的矢量传输模型.利用这一模型,分析得到了垂直光轴偏振的入射光束在晶体中只激发o光,而平行光轴偏振的入射光束在晶体中同时激发e光和二阶小量的o光. 关键词: 傍轴传输 单轴晶体 矢量效应  相似文献

我们首次提出了消偏矢量的概念,并用它来描述二阶偏振模色散中偏振模色散矢量方向的变化。本文导出了由于二阶偏振模色散所引起的脉冲展宽的解析表达式,结论指出,偏振相关的本征色散总是使脉冲展宽加剧;而偏振模色散矢量方向的变化(消偏矢量),却是使脉冲展宽减弱。二阶偏振模色散对脉冲的展宽,不仅与偏振相关的本征色散和消偏矢量有关,而且还与信号的传输速率以及初始一阶偏振模色散的大小有关。信号速率的提高,将明显的使二阶偏振模色散的影响增强。在偏振相关的本征色散不为零的情况下,通过调整初始偏振态矢量、初始一阶偏振模色散矢量以及消偏矢量三者的方向,使它们互相平行,可以获得最佳的色散补偿。但是却不能获得完全的色散补偿。在最佳色散补偿时的最小脉冲展宽为σ= (21/2/4)( DCF/T0).  相似文献

应用全矢量超格子叠加模型分析了双芯光子晶体光纤(PCF)的模式特征.双芯PCF的基模和二次模分别由偏振方向不同的两个偶模和两个奇模组成,讨论了这四个模式的模式电场奇偶性.基于对双芯PCF模式电场奇偶性的认识,讨论了光纤中的矢量模式干涉问题.分析表明,不同偏振态模式的干涉不会引起芯间的功率转移,双芯PCF的芯间功率耦合是由相同偏振模式的干涉引起的.在相同偏振模式干涉过程中,光功率在两个芯子中呈余弦振荡,光纤的两个芯子一般存在约π/2的相位差.还讨论了两个不同偏振方向的耦合系数与波长的关系. 关键词: 光子晶体光纤 双芯光纤 模式 干涉 耦合  相似文献

定向耦合器是构成各类光子器件的基础元件. 本文采用一种基于电场分量的全矢量有限元法, 分析由梯形截面硅基水平多槽纳米线构成的定向耦合器. 给出了准TE与准TM偶、奇模有效折射率、耦合长度及模场分布, 揭示了其模式的混合特性及模场分布特点. 分析结果表明, 准TE模与准TM模的耦合长度随波导间距的增大均呈指数增长, 其中准TE模的耦合长度对波导侧壁倾角的变化敏感, 而准TM模的耦合长度对槽厚及槽折射率的变化敏感. 恰当选择结构与材料参数, 可实现两偏振态下相同耦合长度, 定向耦合器在偏振无关条件下工作.  相似文献

研究了偏振模色散的统计特性,在不同模式耦合条件下,应用蒙特-卡罗方法模拟偏振模色散矢量的几率分布,并对模拟结果进行了函数拟合。发现随着耦合次数增加差分群时延的几率分布从一个类似δ函数分布逐渐过渡到麦克斯韦分布;在一定的耦合下,几率分布可以呈现高斯分布。对偏振模矢量的两个方向余弦进行统计分析,发现随着耦合次数的增加,偏振模矢量两个方向余弦函数的分布从高斯分布和δ函数分布都变为均匀分布。  相似文献

用庞加莱球法测量单模光纤中的二阶偏振模色散,并对二阶偏振模色散的各个分量的统计特性及其影响进行了分析。对75km的G.652普通单模光纤的二阶偏振模色散进行了测量,并对二阶偏振模色散的平行分量、垂直分量、偏振相关色散和消偏振项进行了详细的分析.得到了二阶偏振模色散随波长的分布情况、统计特性以及偏振主态随波长的变化情况。从统计结果可以得到.与偏振相关色散项相比,消偏振项在二阶偏振模色散中起主要作用。该研究对二阶偏振模色散的补偿有一定的指导意义。  相似文献

为了评估随机变化的偏振模色散(PMD)(包括一阶和二阶PMD)使系统信号裂化的程度,降低其对高速光纤通信系统传输速率和传输容量的不利影响,在斯托克斯空间中推导了偏振模色散(PMD)矢量的数学表达式。对PMD效应所导致的脉冲展宽进行了数学分析,给出了差分群时延(DGD)的变化、一阶PMD矢量和二阶PMD矢量方向的变化对脉冲展宽的影响。通过数学推导得出,在大多数情况下,二阶PMD无法完全补偿,需通过控制单元的调整使其对系统的影响达到极小值。通过实验分析,得到了和数学推导中同样的结果,从而证明了模型的正确性。  相似文献

 从亥姆霍兹方程出发,得到了各向异性光波导在弱导近似下的耦合模理论。耦合系数包括偏振耦合项和双折射耦合项。并用马卡提里近似下的模式作为零级近似。用一级微扰法计算了折射率渐变分布的钛扩散铌酸锂矩形波导的传播常数。在给定参数的情况下,得到双折射项引起的传播常数的改变约为主微扰项的3%,因此双折射耦合对钛扩散铌酸锂矩形波导的性能影响不可忽略,这对设计和分析与它相关的光波导器件具有指导意义。  相似文献

Analytically-derived vector corrections are included as additional coupling coefficients in numerical calculations of scalar coupled-mode and compound-mode theory (SCMT) of composite fibre–slab waveguides. The slab waveguide is asymmetric, with moderate light-wave guiding and coupling assumed and the resultant polarization effects are of interest. It is found that the modifications to light propagation and coupling coefficients determined previously by first-order SCMT are dependent mainly on the strength of coupled fibre and slab modes, the thickness of the guiding layers and the ratio of refractive indices of guiding to cladding layer (asymmetry of the slab waveguide). The vector corrections observed are not significant compared with our previous SCMT results, as the optical constants defined appear to satisfy the approximations necessary for the scalar analysis. 标量衍射理论形式简洁,有很高实用性,但是在衍射微光学元件分析中显得模型粗糙,准确度下降。严格矢量衍射理论由于计算复杂,非常耗费时间和资源,因此也不是一种很有效的设计工具。 我们在本文中运用了一种简单的近似矢量衍射模型分析了几种典型衍射微光学元件衍射性能,此衍射模型采用了标量衍射理论和近似近场模型的结合。 TE和TM两种偏振模式均运用此近似矢量衍射模型进行了分析,我们发现此衍射模型可以得到比标量衍射理论更准确的结果,而与严格电磁场理论相比,它占用很少的计算时间。  相似文献

It is found out the form of the vectorial and isotropic cartesian component for the distribution function for electrons in an inhomogeneous plasma interacting with an alternative electric field, without being done any previous supposition on the temporal dependence of these quantities. For this purpose it is applied a method of succesive approximations for solving an integro-differential equation for the isotropic component of the distribution function. The scalar and vector components of the plasma spherical harmonic expansion are calculated including transient and secular terms. Some particular quantities as time-independent part of vectorial component of distribution function and of nonlinear conductivity were also obtained. Also corrected expressions for the transport coefficients in a electrical field, are obtained.  相似文献

The analytical vectorial structure of helical hollow Gaussian beam (HHGB) is investigated in the far field based on the vector plane wave spectrum and the method of stationary phase. The energy flux distributions of HHGB in the far-field, which is composed of TE term with the electric field transverse to the propagation axis, and TM term with the magnetic field transverse to the propagation axis, are demonstrated. The physics pictures of HHGB is illustrated from the vectorial structure, which is important to understand the theoretical aspects of both scalar and vector HHGB propagation.  相似文献

Within the framework of the third-order approximation of the nonlinear wave dispersion theory, we find new classes of short scalar and vector solitons of lengths about several wavelengths. Short scalar solitons are found within the framework of a third-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NSE-3) including both the nonlinear dispersion terms and the third-order linear dispersion term. The interaction of such solitons is studied, and the soliton stability is proved. Short vector solitons are found within the framework of a coupled third-order nonlinear Schröodinger equation (CNSE-3). Interaction and stability of such solitons are studied.  相似文献

A simple formalism relating image fields to object fields, similar to that of the scalar and paraxial case, is presented for an aplanatic system obeying the sine condition, which shows that the vector plane-wave spectrum of image fields is equal to the product of the vector coherent transfer function due to the x- and y-polarized point electric field source and the scalar spectrum of the corresponding transverse object fields. Utilizing this formula and dyadic Green's function, a rigorous imaging theory of an aplanatic system for the point electric current source through a stratified medium is readily developed.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of vectorial coupled-mode solitons in one-dimensional photonic crystals with quadratic and cubic nonlinearities. Starting from Maxwell's equations, the vectorial coupled-mode equations for the envelopes of two fundamental-frequency optical mode and one low-frequency mode components due to optical rectification are derived by means of the method of multiple scales. A set of coupled soliton solutions of the vectorial coupled-mode equations is provided. The results show that a modulation of the fundamental-frequency optical modes occurs due to the optical rectification field resulting from the quadratic nonlinearity. The optical rectification field disappears when the frequency of the fundamental-frequency optical fields approaches the edge of the photonic bands.  相似文献

基于Porras提出的光传输的非傍轴矢量矩理论,推导出初始圆偏振的非傍轴矢量拉盖尔-高斯(LG)光束的特征参数,包括束宽、远场发散角和M2因子等的公式,并表示为级数求和形式.非傍轴矢量高斯光束公式作为特例给出.研究表明,基于二阶矩定义的束宽按双曲线规律传输,当w0/λ→0(w0为束宽,λ为波长)时,远场发散角θ趋于90°,大于非傍轴标量理论预示的值63.435°.非傍轴矢量LG光束的M2因子不仅与模指数p有关,而且还与w0/λ有关.最后,对非傍轴矢量LG光束和非傍轴标量LG光束的传输作了比较,结果表明在w0/λ较小时,矢量效应对远场发散角的影响十分显著.对θ→90°引起的问题和非傍轴矢量矩理论的适用范围,以及解决问题的可能途径作了分析和讨论. 关键词: 非傍轴矢量拉盖尔-高斯光束 圆偏振 非傍轴矢量矩理论 光束参数  相似文献

Using conventional coupled-mode theory, a set of coupled-mode equations are formulated for single-helix chiral fiber long-period gratings. A helical-core fiber is analyzed as an example. The analysis is simple in mathematical form and intuitive in physical concept. Based on the analysis, the polarization independence of mode coupling in special fiber gratings is revealed. The transmission characteristics of helical-core fibers are also simulated and discussed.  相似文献
