The composite PMMA films containing Ag nanoparticles and rhodamine 6G are prepared. We investigate the fluorescence properties and nonlinear optical properties of R6G/PMMA films influenced by Ag nanoparticles. The fluorescence enhancement factor is about 3.3. The corresponding nonlinear refractive index is measured to be -2.423 ×10^-8 esu using the Z-scan technique, which is much enhanced compared with the R6G/PMMA film. The results indicate that these enhancements are attributed to surface plasmon resonance of Ag nanoparticles.  相似文献

Cs^+-K^+ ion exchanges are performed on z-cut KTiOPO4 crystals with chromium coating covered. The temperature of ion exchange is 430℃, and the time range from 15min to 30min. The dark mode spectra of the samples are measured by the prism coupling method. The channel structures on the samples are observed by a microscope and the near field pattern of the channel waveguides are measured by the end-fire coupling method. The refractive index of the samples increases and the increments at surface are modulated due to the existence of Cr film. In the region covered by Cr film, the refractive index of the samples at the surface increases dramatically in a shallow layer. The results of energy dispersive x-ray spectra indicate that in the region covered with Cr film, Cr ions participate in the ion exchange process, and enhance the refractive index. The results may provide a possibility that achieves index enhancement and Cr doping synchronically.  相似文献

We study the dynamic behaviour of two intracellufar calcium oscillators that are coupled through gap junctions both to Ca^2+ and inositol(1,4,5)-trisphosphate (IP3). It is found that synchronized anti-phase and in-phase oscillations of cytoplasmic cadcium coexist in parameters space. Especially, synchronized anti-phase oscillations only occur near the onset of a Hopf bifurcation point when the velocity of IP3 synthesis is increased. In addition, two kinds of coupling effects, i.e., the diffusions of Ca^2+ and IP3 among cells on synchronous behaviour, are considered. We fnd that small coupling of Ca^2+ and large coupling of IP3 facilitate the emergence of synchronized anti-phase oscillations. However, the result is contrary for the synchronized in-phase case. Our findings may provide a qualitative understanding about the mechanism of synchronous behaviour of intercellular calcium signalling.  相似文献

A numerical simulation used to compute the spatio-temporal dynamics of pulse formation of diode-pumped Q- switched Yb: YA G laser is carried out. The model takes the laser amplification and gain saturation, the properties of the laser cavity, and the diffractive effects of the laser disc into account. The numerical calculation is performed for a confocal positive-branch unstable resonator with a super Gaussian coupling mirror. The simulation results show that the laser pulse starts from a Gaussian intensity distribution and becomes rapidly non-Gaussian. The corresponding beam quality M^2 factor is seen to vary approximately from 1.5 at the beginning of the formation of pulse to more than 10 in the tail of the pulse, with a value of 11.6 at the peak of the pulse.  相似文献

We investigate electronic transport through a parallel double quantum dot (DQD) system with strong on-site Coulomb interaction, as well as the interdot tunnelling. By applying numerical renormalization group method, the ground state of the system and the transmission probability at zero temperature are obtained. For a system of quantum dots with degenerate energy levels and small interdot tunnel coupling, the spin correlations between the DQDs is ferromagnetic, and the ground state of the system is a spin-1 triplet state. The linear conductance will reach the unitary limit (2e^2/h) due to the Kondo effect at low temperature. As the interdot tunnel coupling increases, there is a quantum phase transition from ferromagnetic to anti-ferromagnetic spin correlation in DQDs and the linear conductance is strongly suppressed.  相似文献

Laser dye coumarin 440(C440) is codoped with pyrromethene 567 (PM567) into polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) The effects of C440 concentration on the performance of the solid state dye medium, including spectra property, slope efficiency and photostability, are studied. When C440 is codoped with PM567 at the same concentration 1 × 10^-4 mol/L, the highest efficiency and photostability can be obtained. Compared with the medium based on pure PM567 doped PMMA, about 50% increase in slope efficiency and at least five-fold enhancement in the photostability are observed.  相似文献

Blue sapphires are treated with Be in oxidizing atmosphere to change the blue colour into yellow. Untreated and Be-treated samples are examined using laser ablation inductively coupled-plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP- MS), electron spin resonance (ESR) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy. The results show that the yellow colouration in Be-heated blue sapphires is not due to Be diffusion from the surface of sapphire. Be behaves as a sole catalyst in this process. We find that the charge transfer between the ferrous (Fe^2+) and ferric (Fe^3+) is the reason of the colour change. The above conclusions are confirmed by ESR measurements to determine the connections between the Fe3+ ions before and after Be-treated heat treatments.  相似文献

We report on cooperative quantum cutting in Tb^3+- Yb^3+ codoped glass ceramics. Precipitation of BaF2 nanocrystals is confirmed by XRD and HRTEM analysis. Near-infrared emission due to transition of Yb^3+ ions under 485 nm excitation indicates cooperative energy transfer from Tb^3+ to Yb^3+. The quantum efficiency of this process reaches 145%. The realization of quantum cutting in glass ceramics may have promising applications in solar cells.  相似文献

Based on a modified intracellular Ca^2+ model involving diffusive coupling of two calcium ion channel dusters, the effects of coupling on calcium signalling are numerically investigated. The simulation results indicate that the diffusive coupling of dusters together with internal noise determine the calcium dynamics of single duster, and for either homogeneous or heterogeneous coupled dusters, the synchronization of dusters, which is important to calcium signalling, is enhanced by the coupling effect.  相似文献

We report the observations from the GPS TEC and DMSP F-13 satellites showing that very strong upward field-aligned (FA) ion velocity and flux in the outer region of the storm-enhanced density (SED) occurred in the event of the geomagnetic storm on 29-31 May 2003. By a method of coordinate transformation, upward FA ion velocities in excess of 25Orals are obtained from the observations of the DMSP F-13 satellite. Further, an FA ion flux is estimated to be about 4.5 x 1013 ions/m2 s in the dusk sector. The estimated FA ion velocity and flux provide a powerful direct proof to support the scenario that there is a strong coupling of particles between the ionosphere and plasmasphere in the region of the SED plume. In the process, FA ion flux transports from the ionosphere to the plasmasphere in the region of the SED plume. Therefore, the plume of SED in the ionosphere provides an important source to the enhanced density of O^+ in the storm-time plasmasphere.  相似文献

A gain-switched semiconductor laser is shown to act as an optical gate with picosecond resolution and amplification for light pulses from another laser source. The amplification mechanism and the gate width change qualitatively when the gate laser undergoes a transition from a pumping rate slightly below the dynamic laser threshold to slightly above the dynamic threshold. If the gate laser is pumped below but close to its dynamical threshold, unsaturated amplification of an external signal pulse occurs over a delay time range between the external optical pulse and the electrical driving pulse of about 100–200 ps which is equivalent to the optical gate width. The signal amplification is observed to increase by two orders of magnitude and the gate width decreases by one order of magnitude if the gate laser is pumped slightly above the dynamical threshold. Amplification then occurs for input signals injected much earlier. A detailed theory of coherent, time-dependent amplification including the nonlinear dynamics of the semiconductor laser is shown to account for the observations. Both amplification regimes, below and above threshold, are reproduced in the numerical simulations. The extremely short and highly sensitive gate range above threshold is identified as being due to the gain maximum related with the first relaxation oscillation of the laser.  相似文献

An ab initio investigation of electronic curve crossing in a methyl iodide molecule is carried out using spin-orbit multiconfigurational quasidegenerate perturbation theory. The one-dimensional rigid potential curves and optimized effective curves of low-lying states, including spin-orbit coupling and relativistic effects, are calculated. The spin-orbit electronic curve crossing between ^3Qo+ and ^1Q1, and the shadow minimum in potential energy curve of ^3Qo+ at large internuclear distance are found in both sets of the curves according to the present calcu- lations. The crossing position is in the range of Re-1 = 0.2370 3:0.0001 nm. Comparisons with other reports are presented.  相似文献

The calcium ions (Ca^2+) spark is an elementary Ca^2+ release event in cardiac myocytes. It is believed to buildup cell-wide Ca^2+ signals, such as Ca^2+ transient and Ca^2+ wave, through a Ca^2+-induced Ca^2+ release (CICR) mechanism. Here the excitability of the Ca^2+ wave in a single cardiac myoeyte is simulated by employing the fire-diffuse-fire model. By modulating the dynamic parameters of Ca^2+ release and re-uptake channels, we find three Ca^2+ signaling states in a single cardiac myoeyte: no wave, plane wave, and spiral wave. The period of a spiral wave is variable in the different regimes. This study indicates that the spiral wave or the excitability of the system can be controlled through micro-modulation in a living excitable medium.  相似文献

The phase shifts of the extinction and refractive index gratings to the illumination pattern are revealed in doped polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). The dynamic process of these shifts is studied via two-wave coupling at 351 nm. It is shown that these shifts are from the strain and the shrinkage inside the sample and accompanied with the photo-repolymerization process during the building process of the holographic grating. Such shifts will cause obvious energy exchange between the two recording beams and enough attention should be paid to the nonlocal property of the holographic gratings of the material in the application.  相似文献

The flutter instability and response of finite-span flexible plates in uniform flow are investigated experimentally. The effects of the plate aspect ratio on its dynamic responses are mainly analyzed. A hysteretic phenomenon is observed and can be described such that the plate flutters spontaneously as the flow velocity is greater than a critical value UC and the plate returns to its stable state as the flow velocity is slowly decreased to another critical one UD. We find that the aspect ratio has a greater effect on UC than on UD. The flutter frequency decreases and the amplitude increases with the increase in the flow velocity. When the flutter instability of the plate occurs, three typical flutter modes are identified and are associated with the aspect ratio and the flow velocity.  相似文献

We propose an integrative biochemical sensor utilizing the dip in the transmission spectrum of a normal singleline defect photonic crystal (PC) waveguide, which has a eontra-directional coupling with another PC waveguide. When the air holes in the PC slab are filled with a liquid analyte with different refractive indices, the dip has a wavelength shift. By detecting the output power variation at a certain fixed wavelength, a sensitivity of 1.2 × 10^-4 is feasible. This structure is easy for integration due to its plane waveguide structure and omissible pump source. In addition, high signal to noise ratio can be expected because signal transmits via a normal single-line defect PC waveguide instead of the PC hole area or analyte.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics of spinodal dewetting in liquid-liquid polymer systems. Dewetting of poly(methyl-methacrylate) (PMMA) thin films on polystyrene (PS) “substrates” is followed in situ using neutron reflectivity. By following the development of roughness at the PS/PMMA interface and the PMMA surface we extract characteristic growth times for the dewetting process. These characteristic growth times are measured as a function of the molecular weight of the two polymers. By also carrying out experiments in the regime where the dynamics are independent of the PS molecular weight, we are able to use dewetting to probe the scaling of the PMMA thin film viscosity with temperature and molecular weight. We find that this scaling reflects bulk behaviour. However, absolute values are low compared to bulk viscosities, which we suggest may be due in part to slippage at the polymer/polymer interface. Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)–clay nanocomposites (PCN) were prepared with PMMA/clay concentrates and POP-diamines modified clay via melt blending. Partially exfoliated clay layers were uniformly dispersed in the nanocomposites as evidenced from XRD study. The subglassβ relaxation and the segmental α relaxation were observed from the dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA). The PCNs at 5 wt% clay level from clay concentrate exhibited significantly higher glass-transition temperatures and dynamic storage moduli relative to the neat PMMA. The confinement effect from the tethering of polymer chain to the clay surface would contribute to such a dramatic difference. In addition to the normal-mode relaxations, the αβ-merging process above T g and the subglass interfacial polarization were detected from the dielectric analysis. Significant increase in dielectric permittivities and dielectric losses due to interfacial polarization and ionic conduction at low frequency were observed for the PCNs. The intensity of the interfacial polarization process increases with the dispersion degree of clay layers and hence the process can be assigned to the space charge polarization of the ionic species in the clay intergalleries.  相似文献

A general method of solving the field equations is given. An exact solution for matter distribution in cosmological models satisfying G=G0(R/R0)n is presented. We investigate the influence of gamma-ray irradiation on the absorption and fluorescent spectra of Nd^3+:Y3A15 O12 (Nd: YAG) and Yb^3+ : Y3A15 O12 (Yb: YAG) crystals grown by the Czochralski method. Two additional absorption (AA) bands induced by gamma-ray irradiation appear at 255nm and 340nm. The former is contributed due to Fe^3+ impurity, the latter is due to Fe^2+ ions and F-type colour centres. The intensity of the excitation and emission spectra as well as the fluorescent lifetime of Nd:YAG crystal decrease after the irradiation of 100 Mrad gamma-ray. In contrast, the same dose irradiation does not impair the fluorescent properties of Yb:YAG crystal. These results indicate that Yb: YA G crystal possesses the advantage over Nd: YA G crystal that has better reliability for applications in harsh radiant environment.  相似文献
