Feedforward controllers are used in many active noise control (ANC) systems to generate destructive interference in noise fields. An ideal feedforward ANC controller should have an infinite impulse response (IIR) transfer function, but most available feedforward ANC controllers have finite impulse responses (FIR) instead. The main reason is related to the adaptation algorithms of ANC systems. In general, adaptive FIR filters converge faster with guaranteed stability. In this study, the adaptive Laguerre filter is proposed and tested in an ANC application with positive experimental effects. The new ANC controller is an IIR filter, but its adaptation is similar to that of a FIR filter with fast convergence and guaranteed stability. In some situations of active noise control, infinite impulse response (IIR) filters are more suitable than finite impulse response (FIR) filters owing to the poles in the transfer function. A number of algorithms have been derived for applying IIR filters in active noise control; however, most of them use the direct form IIR filter structure, which faces the difficulties of checking stability and relatively slow convergence speed for noise composed of narrow-band components with large power disparity. To overcome these difficulties along with using the direct form IIR filters, a new adaptive algorithm is proposed in this paper, which uses and updates the lattice form adaptive IIR filter in an active noise control system. Full mathematical derivations of the proposed algorithm are presented, and the comparison between the proposed algorithm and the commonly used filtered-u LMS and filtered-v LMS algorithms shows the superiority of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

Feedforward control is a popular strategy of active noise/vibration control. In well-damped noise/vibration systems, path transfer functions from actuators to sensors can be modeled by finite impulse response (FIR) filters with negligible errors. It is possible to implement noninvasive model independent feedforward control by a recently proposed method called orthogonal adaptation. In lightly damped noise/vibration systems, however, path transfer functions have infinite impulse responses (IIRs) that cause difficulties in design and implementation of broadband feedforward controllers. A major source of difficulties is model error if IIR path transfer functions are approximated by FIR filters. In general, active control performance deteriorates as model error increases. In this study, a new method is proposed to design and implement model independent feedforward controllers for broadband in lightly damped noise/vibration systems. It is shown analytically that the proposed method is able to drive the convergence of a noninvasive model independent feedforward controller to improve broadband control in lightly damped noise/vibration systems. The controller is optimized in the minimum H2 norm sense. Experiment results are presented to verify the analytical results.  相似文献

根据机车驾驶室中噪声特征的分析结果,提出了采用FIR滤波器的自适应有源降噪(ANNC)系统。为消除机车驾驶室中严重的背景噪声干扰影响,应用伪随机相关法对驾驶室中的噪声脉冲响应进行测量。通过数字仿真研究,对基于IMS算法的ANNC系统的关键参数进行了寻优。最后,在实际声场中建立了实时双通道ANNC系统并进行了相关的实验验证。仿真与实验的结果证明了本文提出的AANC系统的可行性和有效性。  相似文献

在采用波前功率谱密度评价大口径光学元件时,由于测得的原始数据受到测量系统引入的各种噪音和外界干扰的作用,会使检测准确度下降.对比引入带通滤波技术,对原始数据的有效滤波,减小带外的噪音分量和频谱混叠现象的影响.分别设计了无限脉冲响应带通滤波器和有限脉冲响应带通滤波器,通过模拟分析比较了两者的性能,得出在波前波前功率谱密度用于评价大口径光学元件的面形质量时,采用有限脉冲响应滤波器可以得到更高的测量准确度.  相似文献

The West Indian manatee (Trichechus manatus latirostris) has become an endangered species partly because of an increase in the number of collisions with boats. A device to alert boaters of the presence of manatees is desired. Previous research has shown that background noise limits the manatee vocalization detection range (which is critical for practical implementation). By improving the signal-to-noise ratio of the measured manatee vocalization signal, it is possible to extend the detection range. The finite impulse response (FIR) structure of the adaptive line enhancer (ALE) can detect and track narrow-band signals buried in broadband noise. In this paper, a constrained infinite impulse response (IIR) ALE, called a feedback ALE (FALE), is implemented to reduce the background noise. In addition, a bandpass filter is used as a baseline for comparison. A library consisting of 100 manatee calls spanning ten different signal categories is used to evaluate the performance of the bandpass filter, FIR-ALE, and FALE. The results show that the FALE is capable of reducing background noise by about 6.0 and 21.4 dB better than that of the FIR-ALE and bandpass filter, respectively, when the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the original manatee call is -5 dB.  相似文献

A robust spatially feedforward controller is developed for broadband attenuation of noise in ducts. To meet the requirements of robust performance and robust stability in the presence of plant uncertainties, a μ-synthesis procedure via DK iteration is exploited to obtain the optimal controller. This approach considers uncertainties as modelling errors of the nominal plant in high frequency and is implemented using a floating point digital signal processor (DSP). Experimental investigation was undertaken on a finite-length duct to justify the proposed controller. The μ- controller is compared to other control algorithms such as the H2 method, the H method and the filtered-U least mean square (FULMS) algorithm. Experimental results indicate that the proposed system has attained 25.8 dB maximal attenuation in the band 250–650 Hz.  相似文献

Electronic delay has been a critical problem in active noise control (ANC) systems. This is true whether a feedforward structure or a feedback structure is adopted. In particular, excessive delays would create a causality problem in a feedforward ANC system of a finite-length duct. This paper suggests a multirate signal-processing approach for minimizing the electronic delay in the control loop. In this approach, digital controllers are required in decimation and interpolation of discrete-time signals. The computation efficiency is further enhanced by a polyphase method, where the phases of low-pass finite impulse response (FIR) filters must be carefully designed to avoid unnecessary delays. Frequency domain optimization procedures based on H1, H2, and Hinfinity norms, respectively, are utilized in the FIR filter design. The proposed method was implemented by using a floating-point digital signal processor. Experimental results showed that the multirate approach remains effective for suppressing a broadband (200-600 Hz) noise in a duct with a minimum upstream measurement microphone placement of 20 cm.  相似文献

Adaptive filter techniques and the filtered-x least mean square (FxLMS) algorithm have been used in Active Noise Control (ANC) systems. However, their effectiveness may degrade due to the nonlinearities and modeling errors in the system. In this paper, a new feedback ANC system with an adaptive neural controller and variable step-size learning parameters (VSSP) is proposed to improve the performance. A nonlinear adaptive controller with the FxLMS algorithm is first designed to replace the traditional adaptive FIR filter; then, a variable step-size learning method is developed for online updating the controller parameters. The proposed control is implemented without any offline learning phase, while faster convergence and better noise elimination can be achieved. The main contribution is that we show how to analyze the stability of the proposed closed-loop ANC systems, and prove the convergence of the presented adaptations. Moreover, the computational complexities of different methods are compared. Comparative simulation results demonstrate the validity of the proposed methods for attenuating different noise sources transferred via nonlinear paths, and show the improved performance over classical methods.  相似文献

针对超声成像中基于有限脉冲响应滤波器的零相位滤波处理效率低难以满足实时性要求高的系统需求的问题,提出采用无限冲激响应滤波器实现零相位滤波后处理的方法。首先,分别设计幅频特性相似的有限脉冲响应滤波器和无限冲激响应滤波器作为零相位滤波器的基础滤波器;然后,针对超声相控阵系统采集的超声波回波射频信号,采用两种不同的零相位滤波方法进行处理,对比分析二者的性能、成像效果和效率。结果表明,实现幅频特性近似的零相位滤波,无限冲激响应滤波器具有更低的阶数,可以达到前者的1/4,算法的运算量更低,仅约为前者的1/2。当无限冲激响应滤波器采用直接形式实现时,效率更高,系统的实时性更好。  相似文献

A robust active controller using spatially feedforward structure is proposed for broadband attenuation of noise in ducts. To meet the requirements of performance and robust stability in the presence of plant uncertainties, an H2 cost function and an H(infinity) constrain are employed in the synthesis of the controller. The design is then converted into a convex programming problem using Q-parametrization and frequency discretization. An optimal controller that satisfies the quadratic cost functions and linear inequality constraints can be found by sequential quadratic programming. The optimal controller was implemented via a digital signal processor (DSP) and verified by experiments. Experiment results showed that the system attained 16.5 dB maximal attenuation and 5.9 dB total attenuation in the frequency band 200-600 Hz.  相似文献

This paper presents a relaxed condition for "perfect" cancellation of broadband noise in 3D enclosures. On the basis of a truncated modal model, it can be shown that the primary and secondary paths belong to a same subspace if a certain condition is satisfied. There exists a finite impulse response (FIR) filter transfer function vector for perfect cancellation of the primary paths. The analytical result is verified numerically with an active noise control (ANC) system in a 3D rectangular enclosure. The proposed ANC scheme is shown to fit well into the framework of an existing multichannel least-mean squares (LMS) algorithm for adaptive implementation.  相似文献

A hybrid active noise reduction (ANR) architecture is presented and validated for a circumaural earcup and a communication earplug. The hybrid system combines source-independent feedback ANR with a Lyapunov-tuned leaky LMS filter (LyLMS) improving gain stability margins over feedforward ANR alone. In flat plate testing, the earcup demonstrates an overall C-weighted total noise reduction of 40 dB and 30-32 dB, respectively, for 50-800 Hz sum-of-tones noise and for aircraft or helicopter cockpit noise, improving low frequency (<100 Hz) performance by up to 15 dB over either control component acting individually. For the earplug, a filtered-X implementation of the LyLMS accommodates its nonconstant cancellation path gain. A fast time-domain identification method provides a high-fidelity, computationally efficient, infinite impulse response cancellation path model, which is used for both the filtered-X implementation and communication feedthrough. Insertion loss measurements made with a manikin show overall C-weighted total noise reduction provided by the ANR earplug of 46-48 dB for sum-of-tones 80-2000 Hz and 40-41 dB from 63 to 3000 Hz for UH-60 helicopter noise, with negligible degradation in attenuation during speech communication. For both hearing protectors, a stability metric improves by a factor of 2 to several orders of magnitude through hybrid ANR.  相似文献

Acoustic impulse response functions are generally sparse in nature and traditionally these are modeled by adaptive finite impulse response (FIR) filters trained using a least mean square (LMS) algorithm. The conventional LMS algorithm is not effective in modeling sparse systems and sparse LMS algorithms have been recently developed to improve the modeling in such scenarios. However, the traditional sparse LMS algorithms are not robust to disturbances at the error sensor and may diverge in some scenarios. With an objective to overcome this limitation of conventional sparse adaptive algorithm, this paper presents a robust sparse adaptive algorithm. The new algorithm has been shown to effectively model sparse systems in a robust manner. In addition, the algorithm has been successfully applied in modeling the acoustic feedback path in a behind the ear digital hearing aid.  相似文献

在一些应用场合,前馈有源噪声控制系统中次级源产生的声信号会反馈至参考传声器,影响参考信号质量和系统稳定,导致控制性能下降。引入了等效次级路径的概念,并通过等效次级路径与实际路径的相位偏差分析存在声反馈时的收敛性能。若某些频率的相位偏差大于90°,则这些频率附近将较难收敛,降噪性能下降,甚至导致系统不稳定。通过仿真和实验对单指向传声器声学方法、自适应滤波u型最小均方差(FuLMS)算法、反馈中和算法和在线建模算法共4种解决声反馈问题的方法的性能进行了比较。结果表明,4种方法都能提高存在声反馈时的前馈有源噪声控制系统的性能,有效解决声反馈引起的问题,但各有优缺点。单指向传声器方法最为方便,但低频指向性较差。FuLMS算法运算量较低,但不能保证收敛。反馈中和算法性能最好,但当系统时变时鲁棒性较差。在线建模算法不需要额外滤波器,但由于参数调节复杂,降噪性能稍差。   相似文献

The experimental validation of a generalised approach to the sensing of orthogonal contributors to the global error (acoustic potential energy) within a coupled structural–acoustic cavity is presented. The goal is the measurement and control of the global error without any knowledge of the structural dynamics of the noise source, based on an acoustic centric decomposition approach that is applicable to any noise source. Two sensing approaches are attempted, structural and acoustic sensing, to measure the global error within the coupled enclosure. Once estimates of the global error are obtained, minimisation with an adaptive feedforward controller is implemented. The level of achieved attenuation in the global error is compared. The achieved level of attenuation is also compared to the maximum level of attenuation of the global error that can be achieved based on the disturbance/secondary source arrangement. The maximum level of attenuation is evaluated from experimental data, rather than pure theoretical methods.  相似文献

The attenuation of the low frequency noise produced by the car engine vibration has been the major concern of the automotive community with the objective to increase the comfort of the driver and the passengers. The chassis subframe is the part responsible for transmission of the engine vibration to the car body through the engine mounts. At the beginning of this paper, we briefly describe the test rig we used and which has been experimentally investigated by using system identification. Then the experimental results of the feedforward control strategy and the achieved performance are briefly presented. These results are then compared to the feedback control method utilizing H strategy which allows us to design a robust controller requiring less sensors. Furthermore, a broadband noise attenuation could be achieved by using a robust feedback controller in the real time test.  相似文献

In the adaptive feedback active noise control system based on the internal model control (IMC) structure, the reference signal is regenerated by synthesizing the error signal and the secondary signal filtered with the estimation of the secondary path, hence more computation load and extra programming are required. Motivated by the engineering truth that the primary noise cannot be completely cancelled in most practical active noise control applications and the error signal still contains some portions of the primary noise, a simplified adaptive feedback active noise control system is proposed in this paper, which adopts the error signal directly as the reference signal in an adaptive feedforward control system and utilizes the leaky filtered-x LMS algorithm to update the controller. The convergence properties of the proposed system are investigated and its advantages are discussed by comparing with other feedback control systems as well as the weakness. Finally, simulations and experiments are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system.  相似文献

A zero/pole placement controller (ZPPC) is presented here for active control of periodic duct noise. It uses sound pressure feedback instead of modal feedback. The controller is able to place closed-loop zeros in addition to closed-loop poles. A new adaptation law is proposed to help the controller to track parameter drifting and maintain good performance. The controller can combine with any feedforward scheme to form a hybrid (feedforward/feedback) active noise controller. It has an advantage of on-line identification of the secondary path without persistent excitations.  相似文献

A scheme for accurate quantification of 1H spectra is presented. The method uses maximum-phase finite impulse response (FIR) filters for solvent suppression and an iterative nonlinear least-squares (NLLS) algorithm for parameter estimation. The estimation algorithm takes the filter influence on the metabolites of interest into account and can thereby correctly incorporate a large variety of prior knowledge into the estimation phase. The FIR filter is designed in such a way that no distortion of the important initial samples is introduced. The FIR filter method is compared numerically with the HSVD method for water signal removal in a number of examples. The results show that the FIR method, using an automatic filter design scheme, slightly outperforms the HSVD method in most cases. The good performance and ease of use of the FIR filter method combined with its low computational complexity motivate the use of the proposed method.  相似文献
