The transmission characteristics of the mode TE11 for a new type of closed trapezoidal-groove guide with arbitrary inclined angle are analysed in detail with the mode-matching method in this paper. The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental values in the published reference. The dispersion of the closed trapezoidal-groove guide is very low. The relationships of the cut-off wavelength and the attenuation constant with the structural sizes of the closed trapezoidal-groove waveguide are also obtained. The given results have very important value in study, design, manufacture and application for closed trapezoidal-groove waveguide. 相似文献

The arbitrarily open trapezoidal-groove guide is analyzed with the conformal mapping technique. A new formula is given for
the evaluation of one fundamental parameter associated with the technique. The relationship between the cut-off wavelength
for the dominant mode and the geometry of the guide structure is studied; dispersion characteristic of the groove guide is
also given. Some numerical results are shown to be in good agreement with both experimental data and the results of the finite

在分析经典消逝波光波导生化传感器的基础上,为寻找性能更佳的传感器,探讨用更为直观的截止特性来进行生化传感。分别对三层及四层平板波导进行了研究,指出了作为基于截止特性的生化传感器三层波导结构存在的局限性。在理论上研究了可以在四层波导中使用变折射率材料来进行基于截止特性的生化传感,并给出了由空气隙、极化聚合物、高折射率薄膜、待测物组成的传感器结构示意图。用数值分析的方法绘出了此装置的灵敏度与高折射率薄膜厚度的关系曲线,并将它同经典消逝波光波导生化传感器灵敏度与薄膜厚度关系图进行了比较。结果表明,这种新型传感器理论上可以在较厚的薄膜结构中达到很高的灵敏度。 相似文献

In this paper, the dispersion properties of elastic waves in helical waveguides are investigated. The formulation is based on the Scaled Boundary Finite Element method (SBEFM). With a set of orthogonal unit basis introduced as the contravariant basis, the helical coordinate is firstly considered, where components of tensor retain the dimension of original quantity. Based on the strain–displacement relation, the eigenvalue matrix is obtained about wavenumbers and frequencies. The cross section of the waveguides is discretized by using high-order spectral elements. Moreover, the formulated linear matrix is utilized to design efficient and accurate algorithms to compute the eigenvalues of helical waveguides. Compared with the Pochhammer–Chree curves, the convergence and accuracy of the SBFEM are discussed. Finally, we give some dispersion curves for a wide range of lay angles and analyze in detail properties of cut-off frequency, mode separation and mode transition for elastic wave propagation in the helical waveguides. 相似文献

A three-dimensional frequency selective structure (3D FSS) was proposed by applying the spoof surface plasmon (SSP) structures into periodic waveguides, which realizes an enhanced broadband transmission in low frequencies, below the cut-off frequency of periodic waveguides. The transmission characteristics of SSP structures and periodic waveguides as well as their coupling modes are investigated by simulation and experiment method. According to our analysis, the pass-band of this 3D FSS can be customized through changing the values of structure parameters and it also has a good angular stability. In addition, this paper also provides a simple assembly plan for sample preparation. This proposal may be useful for improving filtering performances and gives an effective approach for designing 3D FSSs. 相似文献

The reaction matrix of a cavity with attached waveguides connects scattering properties to properties of a corresponding closed billiard for which the waveguides are cut off by straight walls. On the one hand, this matrix is directly related to the S-matrix, on the other hand it can be expressed by a spectral sum over all eigenfunctions of the closed system. However, in the physically relevant situation where these eigenfunctions vanish on the impenetrable boundaries of the closed billiard, the spectral sum for the reaction matrix, as it was used before, fails to converge and does not reliably reproduce the scattering properties. We derive here a convergent representation of the reaction matrix in terms of eigenmodes satisfying Dirichlet boundary conditions and demonstrate its validity in the rectangular and the Sinai billiards. 相似文献

An analytic model of acoustic streaming generated in two-dimensional thermoa-coustic waveguides with slowly varying cross-section was developed for more general applications. The analytical solutions of acoustic streaming characteristics in the closed straight tube and the annular tube are given based on the model.The solution for the closed straight tube can be applied to the case with any transverse scale.The solution for the annular tube is obtained under the assumption that the width of the varying cross-section part is much larger than the viscous and thermal penetration depths.The effects of cross-section variation,time-averaged temperature distribution and components of sound field are reflected in the analytic solutions. The magnitude and distribution of acoustic streaming velocity vary with the characteristic scale of the waveguides.The analytic model of acoustic streaming can be applied in research under thermoacoustic and other physical backgrounds. 相似文献
