A new kind of light beams named the off-axial elliptical Hermite-cosh-Gaussian beams (EHChGBs) is introduced in this paper by use of tensor method. An analytical propagation expression for an off-axial EHChGB passing through an axially nonsymmetrical optical ABCD system is derived by use of vector integration. The derived formula can be easily reduced to the propagation formulas of off-axial elliptical cosh-Gaussian beams and elliptical Hermite-cosh-Gaussian beams. Some numerical simulations are illustrated for the propagation properties of off-axial EHChGBs passing through a free space and a focusing optical system, and further extensions are suggested.  相似文献

By making a comparison between the acoustic equations and the 2-dimensional (2D) Maxwell equations, we obtain the material parameter equations (MPE) for acoustic elliptical cylindrical cloaks. Both the theoretical results and the numerical results indicate that an elliptical cylindrical cloak can realize perfect acoustic invisibility when the spatial distributions of mass density and bulk modulus are exactly configured according to the proposed equations. The present work is the meaningful exploration of designing acoustic cloaks that are neither sphere nor circular cylinder in shape, and opens up possibilities for making complex and multiplex acoustic cloaks with simple models such as spheres, circular or elliptic cylinders.  相似文献

Realized as an interferogram of a spherical and a cylindrical wave, the elliptical hologram is treated as a plane diffracting grating which produces Fresnel diffraction of a simple astigmatic gaussian incident wave. It is shown that if the principal axes of the incident beam coincide with the principal axes of the hologram, the diffracted wave field is composed of three different astigmatic gaussian waves, with their waists situated in parallel but distinct planes. The diffraction pattern, observed on a transverse screen, is the result of the interference of the three diffracted wave components. It consists of three systems of overlapped second-order curves, whose shape depends on the distance of the observation screen from the hologram, as well as on the parameters of the incident wave beam and the hologram. The results are specialized for gratings in the form of circular and linear holograms and for the case of a stigmatic gaussian incident wave, as well as for the normal plane-wave incidence on the three mentioned types of hologram.  相似文献

A tensor form for describing approximately the elliptical aperture function is defined that can be expanded into a finite sum of complex Gaussian functions. An analytical propagation formula of elliptical Gaussian beams through nonsymmetric and paraxial optical systems with an elliptical aperture is obtained by using tensor method.
