研究了高Q kerr介质腔中的二能级原子与双模光场相互作用系统中,光场的相位自调制效应对原子布居的影响. 研究发现随着相位自调制强度的增加, 原子与光场的耦合减弱,并证明光场相位自调制强度与光场的各模有关. 同时分析讨论了光子数对原子布居的影响.  相似文献

推导了光束在Kerr介质、屏蔽介质及光伏介质的一维光子晶格中演化的二能级形式,给出了光束在这三种光折变介质中传播时二能级系统的经典哈密顿形式.以屏蔽介质为例,做出了空间相图,当非线性参数变化时,空间相图的拓扑改变.给出了空间相图的拓扑发生改变时,非线性参数的临界值.数值研究了非线性Landau-Zener(LZ)隧穿,得到非线性参数与LZ隧穿率的关系,发现非线性参数大于0时增强了隧穿,而非线性参数小于0时抑制了隧穿. 关键词: 二能级模型 光折变介质 光子晶格 非线性Landau-Zener隧穿  相似文献

基于相干布居囚禁,提出了一种新的电磁诱导光栅物理模型, 得到了该模型下介质极化率的解析表达式. 由于相干布居囚禁引入的原子相干性, 介质极化率会形成增益、无吸收高折射率点以及暗态三个区域. 根据该理论模型, 基于87Rb的原子能级, 提出了一种新型衍射光栅实现方案, 并进行了分析与计算. 结果表明, 在无吸收高折射率点处, 这种光栅是一种纯相位光栅, 一级衍射强度可达到0.4; 在增益区域中, 发现这种光栅是相位光栅和幅度光栅组合而成的混合型光栅, 在其最大增益点, 一级衍射效率最大可达1.26, 二级衍射效率也可增加到0.31. 关键词: 相干粒子数囚禁 电磁诱导光栅 衍射效率  相似文献

相干布居振荡(coherent population oscillations, CPO)光谱是一种原子布居数调制光谱,主要利用两束位相锁定、频率差小于原子自发辐射线宽的耦合光和探测光与原子相互作用,激光强度调制会导致原子布居数相干振荡,实现窄带宽的探测光透射.本文基于L型原子能级结构,在室温铯原子系综中实现了相干布居振荡光谱,光谱典型线宽小于50 kHz,远低于5.2 MHz的自发辐射线宽. L型能级结构的相干布居振荡光谱线宽依赖多个简并能级系统的布居数关联振荡,其不要求原子态的相位关联,有利于在长激发态寿命的Rydberg原子系统中基于相干布居振荡获得窄线宽光谱,从而提高基于Rydberg原子光谱的精密测量的灵敏度.  相似文献

对二维自散焦介质中双光束对向共同传输问题进行了系统研究.数值模拟结果表明:在适当的条件下,强的抽运光能通过交叉相位调制效应诱导弱的信号光聚焦.讨论了样品长度、抽运光初始振幅、信号光初始振幅及两光束中心初始横向间距4个参数对信号光聚焦过程的影响,发现存在最佳参数值,选择恰当的参数可提高光束聚焦的效率. 关键词: 自散焦介质 对向传输 诱导聚焦 交叉相位调制效应  相似文献

研究了高斯光束在外加空间调制电场的光折变晶体中的演化,结果表明,在不同的外加调制电场作用下高斯光束的光场分布会随着外电场变化而被调制。重点研究了同相位和反相位以及相位差为π/2的高斯光束在外加空间调制电场的光折变晶体中的相互作用,在外加空间分布线性增加电场作用下出现了许多新的实用特性,通过调整外加电场分布,可以让两同相位相干光靠得更近而不发生融合,也可以让两靠得很近的反相位光束可控偏转,还可以控制相位差为π/2的两相干光束进行能量转移。这种连续变化的电场可以用阶梯分布的电场替代,为工程实现提供了可能。  相似文献

研究了双势阱玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体系(BEC)的自俘获现象(self-trapping). 在平均场近似下通过相平面(phase space)分析的方法研究了两种自俘获的机理:1)势阱中的粒子数在平衡位置附近振动,而相对相位随时间单调变化(running-phase); 2) 势阱中的粒子数和相对相位都在平衡点附近振动. 研究了周期调制场对自俘获现象的影响,发现发生自俘获现象的相变参数能够被周期场非常有效的调制,从而在弱相互作用BEC体系中也可以观察到自俘获现象. 还研究了多体量子涨落对自俘获现象的影响,讨论了在现有的实验条件下对凝聚体自俘获现象进行观察和周期调制. 关键词: 玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚 自俘获 双势阱 周期调制  相似文献

Efficient frequency-doubling is experimentally demonstrated in presence of beam self-trapping in congruent lithium niobate crystal. The self-trapping is induced by the generated second harmonic beam via photorefractive effect under an external applied field. The local space charge field distribution, formed by the second harmonic beam, is shown to efficiently trap both wavelengths. The dynamics of self-focusing is studied along with the power evolution of the second harmonic beam. Fast tuning of phase matching conditions in the written waveguide is realized by an externally applied voltage also used for the photorefractive confinement.  相似文献

We consider a passive optical system consisting of a ring cavity and a homogeneously broadened two-level medium. We find that a spatial modulation of the input beam imposes processes of competition between the external modulation frequency and the internal space frequencies which emerge from modulation instabilities. This leads to symmetry breaking phenomena when both the amplitude and the wavelength of the modulation are increased and results in the coexistence of periodic attractors. We numerically analyze the corresponding bifurcations and find that they can be explained by a generalization of the concept of cooperative frequency locking although the bifurcating attractors are periodic and are not related to linear resonator modes.  相似文献

We investigate light beam propagation in a fast photorefractive medium placed in an alternating electric ac field to enhance the nonlinear response. It is shown that the joint action of the optical and material nonlinearities leads to formation of a narrow singularity of the light-induced space charge at the intensity maximum and to self-trapping of the light energy near the corresponding discontinuity of the index profile. Owing to the strong saturation of the material nonlinearity, the trapped beam propagates over long distances with only a weak loss of its power.  相似文献

The generalized Bloch equations (GBE) describing the temporal evolution of a single two-level atom interacting with a classical external field of arbitrary intensity and with a thermodynamic bath are obtained from the time convolutionless generalized master equation or equivalently from the Tokuyama-Mori identity. Intensity-independent self-trapping of optical beams in photorefractive crystals was found recently. But we show that due to the existence of dark conductivity in some photorefractive materials or coherent and non-coherent background irradiance, the self-trapping of weak optical beams in photorefractive materials, such as SBN, becomes intensity dependent. The threshold condition of the applied external de electric field for self-trapping is determined as function of the material parameters as well as the initial transverse sizes and relative intensities of the beams.  相似文献

The present paper investigates the steady-state periodic response of an axially moving viscoelastic beam in the supercritical speed range. The straight equilibrium configuration bifurcates in multiple equilibrium positions in the supercritical regime. It is assumed that the excitation of the forced vibration is spatially uniform and temporally harmonic. Under the quasi-static stretch assumption, a nonlinear integro-partial-differential equation governs the transverse motion of the axially moving beam. The equation is cast in the standard form of continuous gyroscopic systems via introducing a coordinate transform for non-trivial equilibrium configuration. For a beam constituted by the Kelvin model, the primary resonance is analyzed via the Galerkin method under the simply supported boundary conditions. Based on the Galerkin truncation, the finite difference schemes are developed to verify the results via the method of multiple scales. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the steady-state periodic responses exist in the transverse vibration and a resonance with a softening-type behavior occurs if the external load frequency approaches the linear natural frequency in the supercritical regime. The effects of the viscoelastic damping, external excitation amplitude, and nonlinearity on the steady-state response amplitude for the first mode are illustrated.  相似文献

We investigate the effect of an external periodic driving field on the self-trapping of two weakly coupled Bose-Einstein condensates with dissipation. It is shown that the macroscopic self-trapping can be stabilized against dissipation by a high frequency periodic driving field. An equation describing the evolution of the transverse energy of a segment of a paraxial axisymmetric relativistic electron beam (REB) propagating in a gas-plasma scattering medium along an external magnetic field is used to find the equation relating the final equilibrium radius of the beam to its initial nonequilibrium value. An analytical expression for the increase in the mean-square emittance of an REB during transport up to achievement of the equilibrium state is found for the case considered. The dependence of the final equilibrium radius and the corresponding increase in the mean-square emittance on the density of the scattering medium and the induction of the external magnetic field is investigated.
