We recently found that the intensity of the electric near field of a triangular aperture in a metal film is strongly localized at one edge of the aperture for incident light polarized perpendicular to this edge. Previous numerical calculations of the near field of a triangular aperture in a planar metal film, using the field susceptibility technique, yielded a nearly quantitative agreement with the experiments. Using this numerical technique, we have investigated the influence of an obliquely incident plane wave on the near field of small circular and triangular apertures. An interpretation of the numerical results leads to a deeper understanding of the way in which light transmission through the aperture is excited. The data suggest that after excitation of currents in the metal film by the incident light, a scattering of these currents by the aperture generates the near field of the aperture. We found that the excitation of small apertures (size <100 nm) is due to a tangential magnetic field whereas the perpendicular electric field plays no role. The excitation of a small aperture can thus be described exclusively by a magnetic polarizability. We found that for thin metal films an interference of the scattered field with the field transmitted through the metal film changes the near field pattern. The integral expression for divergent spherical waves diffracted at an annular aperture is derived based on the theory of the boundary diffraction wave. The expressions for divergent spherical waves diffracted at a circular aperture and a disk, and the axial field are treated as the special cases of our general one. Numerical calculation results for axial and transversal intensity distributions are given to compare our results with the Kirchhoff diffraction integral, first and second Rayleigh diffraction integrals. As expected, our results are in agreement with those in the use of the Kirchhoff diffraction integral, but the computer time is reduced greatly by using the boundary diffraction wave theory. The four diffraction formulae are shown to be consistent for axial and transversal intensity distributions, if the source and observation points are positioned equally from the aperture, or the observation point is located enough far from the aperture. Otherwise, the mean value of the first and second Rayleigh diffraction integrals is equal to the result of the boundary diffraction wave theory.  相似文献

运用Rayleigh-Sommerfeld衍射积分,详细推导了二元环形孔径全空间在轴光强分布公式.由于未作明显的近似,所得公式对衍射距离大于数倍入射波长的衍射空间都是有效的.计算并分析了这种孔径轴线上的光强分布情况.结果显示,它的最大调制深度是入射光强的16倍,比圆形孔径或环形孔径大4倍,近场的光学层析能力比远场的强.在很近场区,二元环形孔径的在轴光强分布对孔径结构比较敏感,这些特性使这种孔径在光子学和光纤光学的应用方面具有潜在的价值.  相似文献

本文以完整的矢量衍射理论分析了光盘光学系统。首先将入射的聚焦光束分解为平面波谱 ,得到每个平面波的振幅矢量 ;然后计算光盘对每个平面波的衍射 ,得到衍射波的振幅矢量 ,从而得到了整个衍射波场的空间频谱 ;最后计算物镜光瞳上的能通量 ,得到光盘系统的读出信号。在衍射计算中 ,光盘被定义为二维金属光栅 ,根据信息符的不同模型 ,选用坐标变换方法、耦合波方法或模态方法。对于典型的 DVD光学系统来说 ,矢量理论的结论与标量理论相差甚远 ,要得到正确的结果就必须采用矢量衍射理论  相似文献

A method is presented for efficiently computing the propagating pressure field backscattered by an arbitrarily shaped, weakly scattering, three-dimensional object. This is accomplished by drawing upon a previously reported relationship between the boundary condition on a two-dimensional radiating aperture and the pressure propagating along an axis normal to the aperture, and the fundamental theorem of diffraction tomography, which relates the Fourier transform of an object function to its scattered pressure field. Together, these two results are used to derive an integral formula that expresses the pressure field backscattered from an object as a one-dimensional Fourier transform of its scattering amplitude. This formula is then utilized to compute the backscattered pressure field from a uniform fluid sphere in the first Born approximation; the results of which are compared to the rigorous partial wave expansion.  相似文献

Thomson scattering is among one of the primary diagnostics used for tokamak plasma temperature and density measurements. Spuriously scattered stray signal further deteriorates the already existing poor signal-to-noise ratio in this technique. The present paper reports experimental investigations on the angular distribution of the scattered/stray radiation from graphite and a stack of laser blades dumps for different angles of incidence. Experimental results show a dependence of the stray signal on the dump-edge orientation. It is found that horizontally oriented dump edge produces a minimum level of stray light (around two orders less than in case of plane graphite tiles) in the horizontal plane, in which detectors for most of the diagnostics are installed. Studies are also made for p-polarized and s-polarized incident laser beams of 632.8?nm and 1064?nm wavelengths.  相似文献

以色散偏振光谱检测技术为背景,着重研究了乳化油颗粒的偏振光学特性及米散射物理模型,构建了色散偏振度光谱检测系统。在400~700 nm波长范围内,分别对四种样品进行了301个波段的光谱反射率采集。结合贝塞尔函数和汉克尔函数,推导出了入射光波长与散射光偏振振幅矢量的关系,提取了一个新的特征参数:色散偏振度(DODP)。在暗室条件下,对乳化油样品ND18和ND75进行测量,利用色散偏振公式计算出了样品在各测量波长处的偏振度值,验证了基于DODP值检测乳化油的可行性。研究发现,虽然米散射的解是由单个球体的衍射推导而来,但是只要它们的直径和组成相同,且彼此之间的距离比波长大,也同样可以用于任意数量的球的衍射。在这种情况下,被不同球体散射的光之间没有相干的相位关系,总散射能量等于被一个球体散射的能量乘以它们的整数。当观测平面与入射波电矢量振动方向之间的夹角Φ=0或者Φ=π/2时,散射光分量E(s)θ或者E(s)Φ消失。由于ND18的粒径比ND75的粒径小,所以ND18的前向散射波瓣较大,前向散射与后向散射的比值较小。在相同光照条件下,ND75的多次散射现象要比ND18严重。根据路径相关矩阵的理论,多次散射容易引起退偏振,二次辐射波会在角域内扩散和分布。因此,被测乳化油表面产生的散射次数与入射光能的阻尼能力成正比。由于乳化油表面入射光的能量耗散存在差异,因此能量耗散率与入射波矢量方向的前向散射振幅的分量成正比,且乳化油的偏振散射程度不同于入射光的偏振散射程度。实验结果表明,DODP可以反映出乳化油由多次色散引起的去偏振能力。由于模拟光源是自然光,所以计算散射光的偏振参数非常方便,可以大大缩短数据处理时间,减小实验误差。DODP不仅能够识别海水中的乳化油,而且能够区分不同浓度的污染物,准确识别出乳化油的边缘扩散。  相似文献

为了满足仪器的轻量化设计要求,研究了成像光谱仪系统中Sagnac干涉仪的优化设计方法,讨论仪器轻量化设计中干涉仪尺寸与系统前置望远镜倍率的制约关系,通过将Sagnac干涉仪展开为平板玻璃的方法对干涉仪的结构和光路进行分析,根据几何关系推导出Sagnac干涉仪几何尺寸与入射干涉仪的光束孔径和视场角的关系表达式,通过该关系式可以求出干涉仪的尺寸极值和对应的系统前置望远镜倍率大小。以某短波红外光谱仪为例,运用推导出的关系式,计算并给出了优化设计结果。  相似文献

The scattering of the polychromatic plane light wave incident upon rotational quasi-homogeneous anisotropic media is investigated. It is different from the light wave scattered by quasi-homogeneous isotropic medium in that the spectral shift can be produced by the rotation of the anisotropic medium. This paper presents the collocation multipole method for the acoustic scattering induced by multiple elliptical cylinders subjected to an incident plane sound wave. To satisfy the Helmholtz equation in the elliptical coordinate system, the scattered acoustic field is formulated in terms of angular and radial Mathieu functions which also satisfy the radiation condition at infinity. The sound-soft or sound-hard boundary condition is satisfied by uniformly collocating points on the boundaries. For the sound-hard or Neumann conditions, the normal derivative of the acoustic pressure is determined by using the appropriate directional derivative without requiring the addition theorem of Mathieu functions. By truncating the multipole expansion, a finite linear algebraic system is derived and the scattered field can then be determined according to the given incident acoustic wave. Once the total field is calculated as the sum of the incident field and the scattered field, the near field acoustic pressure along the scatterers and the far field scattering pattern can be determined. For the acoustic scattering of one elliptical cylinder, the proposed results match well with the analytical solutions. The proposed scattered fields induced by two and three elliptical–cylindrical scatterers are critically compared with those provided by the boundary element method to validate the present method. Finally, the effects of the convexity of an elliptical scatterer, the separation between scatterers and the incident wave number and angle on the acoustic scattering are investigated.  相似文献

We address an inverse scattering problem using only amplitude information of the scattered field. In particular, we are concerned with the reconstruction of the shape of a metallic planar obstacle, located in a known plane (aperture plane), starting from the knowledge of the intensity of the scattered field over two measurement planes in near zone and parallel to the aperture plane, when a single-frequency incident plane wave is exploited. The formulation of the inverse scattering problem is given under the physical optics approximation, and thus the resulting phase retrieval problem is quadratic. This allows us to apply some phase retrieval techniques already developed for antenna diagnostics. Reconstruction results with synthetic data indicate the feasibility of the proposed approach.  相似文献

This paper considers the higher-order scattered and transmitted wave fields that result when an acoustic wave from a point source impinges at an arbitrary angle on a rectangular aperture in a rigid, thick wall. In this analysis, it is assumed that free field conditions exist on both sides of the aperture. Although the full scattered and transmitted pressure fields contain both modal sum and modal coupling effects, the modal coupling effects of the higher-order modes are ignored such that an approximate analytical solution to the uncoupled analysis can be utilized. Experiments have been undertaken to measure the sound pressure levels in the transmitted field that result when sound from a point source impinges on the opposite side of a rectangular aperture. Measurements were made with the source located at the required position to drive a particular in-aperture higher-order mode. The source was also located at positions that did not directly excite any in-aperture higher-order mode at a cut-on frequency. These results indicate that the approximate analysis developed here gives accurate solutions whether or not any mode of the aperture is driven at cut-on. Thus, the method can be used for any relative location of a source from a rectangular aperture of any dimensions.  相似文献

基于二维线性海面模型及粗糙面电磁散射的一阶小斜率近似公式,研究了海面回波各阶多普勒谱的频移特性,得到了多普勒谱频移所对应的理论公式,与经典多普勒频移公式相比考虑到了风速、大尺度波浪轨道运动等因素对多普勒谱频移的影响;同时根据粗糙面的双尺度模型,基于多普勒谱频移的物理机理,给出了求解散射场多普勒谱展宽的理论公式.最后将理论公式计算所得结果与模拟结果及实测数据进行了比较,讨论了风速、入射波频率及入射角等因素对多普勒频移及多普勒谱展宽的影响.通过比较可以发现,给出的理论公式可以对多普勒谱频移和展宽进行一定程度的预测. 关键词: 粗糙海面 电磁散射 多普勒谱  相似文献

The possibility of using metamaterial covers to dramatically enhance the total scattering cross-sections (SCS) or drastically reduce total SCSs of spheroidal objects is presented. The scattering problem by a conducting spheroid with metamaterial coating at axial incidence is studied using an analytic solution by expanding the incident and scattered waves in terms of spheroidal vector wave functions and imposing the appropriate boundary conditions at each spheroidal surface. Numerical results show that the total SCSs of a conducting spheroid with different metamaterial coatings can be dramatically enhanced to achieve 'sub-wavelength resonant structures' or drastically reduced to achieve 'transparency' of objects. The results with different parameters, such as relative permittivity, the spheroidal geometry, and the ratio of semimajor axes of two layers, are provided and discussed.  相似文献

本文研究了圆柱受限空间内的喷雾火焰燃烧压力振荡的特性。为了更清楚地了解火焰的构造,首先测量了火焰的温度场。在较大的一次风和二次风变化范围内,测量了压力的振荡特性。结果表明:火焰的稳定是由回流区完成的,在较小的一次风燃料当量比和中等的二次风量时,振荡最强,达到 100 Pa左右的量级。其频率为 200~230 Hz左右。分析表明燃烧室中的振荡是轴向驻波振荡。  相似文献

阐述了参考光束型激光多普勒测速仪的基本原理,从理论上分析了原理公式近似、高斯光束干涉、激光线宽、探测器孔径、有限渡越时间、信号处理算法、空气折射率变化及角度测量等诸多因素对激光多普勒测速仪测量结果造成的误差,研究并给出了每一种影响因素所引起误差的理论公式,在每一种影响因素中具体讨论了各种光学参数对测量误差的影响并对部分参数进行实验研究。理论分析和实验表明:在实验中需要选择线宽较窄的激光器及孔径较小的光电探测器,而在选择光束光斑半径和信号光中心光线的方向与粒子运动方向的夹角时,既要考虑激光的质量和多普勒信号的强度,同时也需要考虑原理公式近似、探测器孔径的尺寸、有限渡越时间及高斯光束干涉等多种因素对测量结果的影响。  相似文献

We discuss the effectively detectable scattered intensity of ultrasound from diagnostic microbubble suspensions, taking dissipative mechanisms in the liquid medium into account. In particular, we conclude that neither non-linear wave steepening of the incident (driving) wave nor of the outgoing (scattered) wave has a large effect on the scattered signal from typical bubbles. It is shown that, paradoxically, the far-field solution of the wave field is sufficient to compute the magnitude of expected temperature rises in the medium due to acoustic heat deposition, although appreciable heating is limited to intermediate-field distances from the bubble surface.  相似文献
