Abstract

We show that left IF rings (rings such that every injective left module is flat) have certain regular-like properties. For instance, we prove that every left IF reduced ring is strongly regular. We also give characterizations of (left and right) IF rings. In particular, we show that a ring R is IF if and only if every finitely generated left (and right) ideal is the annihilator of a finite subset of R.  相似文献

Let R be a left coherent ring, FP — idRR the FP — injective dimension of RR and wD(R) the weak global dimension of R. It is shown that 1) FP -idRR < n ( n > 0) if and only if every flat resolvent 0 → M → F° → F1... of a finitely presented right R—module M is exact at F'(i > n?1) if and only if every nth F -cosyzygy of a finitely presented right R — module has a flat preenvelope which is a monomorphism; 2) wD(R) < n (n > 1) if and only if every (n?l)th F-cosyzygy of a finitely presented right R—module has a flat preenvelope which is an epimorphism; 3) wD(R) 0) if and only if every nth F — cosyzygy of a finitely presented right R — module is flat. 强n-凝聚环     
设R是一个环,n是一个正整数.右R-模M称为强n-内射的,如果从任一自由右R-模F的任一n-生成子模到M的同态都可扩张为F到M的同态;右R-模V称为强n-平坦的,如果对于任一自由右R-模F的任一n-生成子模T,自然映射VT→VF是单的;环R称为左强n-凝聚的,如果自由左R-模的n-生成子模是有限表现的;环R称为左n-半遗传的,如果R的每个n-生成左理想是投射的.本文研究了强n-内射模,强n-平坦摸及左强n-凝聚环.通过模的强n-内射性和强n-平坦性概念,作者还给出了强n-凝聚环和n-半遗传环的一些刻画.  相似文献

Let R be a ring. M is said to be a minannihilator left R-module if r M l R (I) = IM for any simple right ideal I of R. A right R-module N is called simple-flat if Nl R (I) = l N (I) for any simple right ideal I of R. R is said to be a left simple-Baer (resp., left simple-coherent) ring if the left annihilator of every simple right ideal is a direct summand of R R (resp., finitely generated). We first obtain some properties of minannihilator and simple-flat modules. Then we characterize simple-coherent rings, simple-Baer rings, and universally mininjective rings using minannihilator and simple-flat modules.  相似文献

称环 R为右主拟 Baer环(简称为右p·q.Baer环),如果 R的任意主右理想的右零化子可由幂等元生成.本文证明了,若环 R满足条件Sl(R)(?)C(R),则罗朗级数环R[[x,x-1]]是右p.q.Baer环当且仅当R是右p.q.Baer环且R的任意可数多个幂等元在I(R)中有广义join.同时还证明了,R是右p.q.Baer环当且仅当R[x,x-1]是右P.q.Baer环.  相似文献

R is called a left PS (resp. left min-coherent, left universally mininjective) ring if every simple left ideal is projective (resp. finitely presented, a direct summand of R). We first investigate when the endomorphism ring of a module is a PS ring, a min-coherent ring, or a universally mininjective ring. Then we characterize PS rings and universally mininjective rings in terms of endomorphisms of mininjective and min-flat modules. Finally, we study commutative min-coherent rings and (universally) mininjective rings using properties of homomorphism modules of special modules.  相似文献

A widely used result of Wedderburn and Artin states that “every left ideal of a ring R is a direct summand of R if and only if R has a unique decomposition as a finite direct product of matrix rings over division rings.” Motivated by this, we call a module M virtually semisimple if every submodule of M is isomorphic to a direct summand of M and M is called completely virtually semisimple if every submodule of M is virtually semisimple. We show that the left R-module R is completely virtually semisimple if and only if R has a unique decomposition as a finite direct product of matrix rings over principal left ideal domains. This shows that R is completely virtually semisimple on both sides if and only if every finitely generated (left and right) R-module is a direct sum of a singular module and a projective virtually semisimple module. The Wedderburn-Artin theorem follows as a corollary from our result.  相似文献

First it will be shown that every left-noetherian AH-ring is left-artinian. For an AH-ring R every finite linearly independent subset of a free left R-module V can be completed to a basis of V. But a maximal linearly independent subset of a free left R-module V need not be a basis of V. While a module is pseudo-injective if and only if it is automorphism-invariant, it was not known whether automorphism-invariant modules are tight. It is shown that weakly automorphism-invariant modules are precisely essentially tight. We give various examples of weakly automorphism-invariant and essentially tight modules and study their properties. Some particular results: (1) R is a semiprime right and left Goldie ring if and only if every right (left) ideal is weakly injective if and only if every right (left) ideal is weakly automorphism invariant; (2) R is a CEP-ring if and only if R is right artinian and every indecomposable projective right R-module is uniform and essentially R-tight.  相似文献

Before his death, Auslander announced that every finitely generated module over a local Gorenstein ring has a minimal Cohen–Macaulay approximation. Yoshimo extended Auslander's result to local Cohen–Macaulay rings admitting a dualizing module.Over a local Gorenstein ring the finitely generated maximal Cohen–Macaulay modules are the finitely generated Gorenstein projective modules so in fact Auslander's theorem says finitely generated modules over such rings have Gorenstein projective covers. We extend Auslander's theorem by proving that over a local Cohen–Macaulay ring admitting a dualizing module all finitely generated modules of finite G-dimension (in Auslander's sense) have a Gorenstein projective cover. Since all finitely generated modules over a Gorenstein ring have finite G-dimension, we recover Auslander's theorem when R is Gorenstein.  相似文献
