In this paper, by exploiting the image space analysis we investigate a class of constrained extremum problems, the constraining function of which is set-valued. We show that a (regular) linear separation in the image space is equivalent to the existence of saddle points of Lagrangian and generalized Lagrangian functions and we also give Lagrangian type optimality conditions for the class of constrained extremum problems under suitable generalized convexity and compactness assumptions. Moreover, we consider an exact penalty problem for the class of constrained extremum problems and prove that it is equivalent to the existence of a regular linear separation under suitable generalized convexity and compactness assumptions.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to prove the existence of equilibrium for generalized games or abstract economies in contexts where the convexity conditions on strategy spaces and preference correspondences are relaxed and an arbitrary number of agents is considered. The results are based on a fixed-point theorem in which the convexity condition on sets and images of correspondences is replaced by a general notion of abstract convexity, called mc-spaces, generalizing the notions of simplicial convexity, H-spaces, and G-convex spaces.  相似文献

The Tonelli existence theorem in the calculus of variations and its subsequent modifications were established for integrands f which satisfy convexity and growth conditions. In our previous work a generic well-posedness result (with respect to variations of the integrand of the integral functional) without the convexity condition was established for a class of optimal control problems satisfying the Cesari growth condition. In this paper we extend this generic well-posedness result to two classes of variational problems in which the values at the end points are also subject to variations. The main results of the paper are obtained as realizations of a general variational principle.  相似文献

Generalized convex functions preserve many valuable properties of mathematical programming problems with convex functions. Generalized monotone maps allow for an extension of existence results for variational inequality problems with monotone maps. Both models are special realizations of an abstract equilibrium problem with numerous applications, especially in equilibrium analysis (e.g., Blum and Oettli, 1994). We survey existence results for equilibrium problems obtained under generalized convexity and generalized monotonicity. We consider both the scalar and the vector case. Finally existence results for a system of vector equilibrium problems under generalized convexity are surveyed which have applications to a system of vector variational inequality problems. Throughout the survey we demonstrate that the results can be obtained without the rigid assumptions of convexity and monotonicity.  相似文献

该文引入了φ凹-(—ψ)凸算子,统一处理了一类具有某种凹凸性的混合单调算子,在非紧非连续的条件下,利用单凋叠代技巧证明了不动点的存在惟一,进而得到了具有α凹-凸、凹-(—α)凸、α凹-Guo凸、凹-Guo凸、e凹-Guo凸、e凹-凸、e凹-(—α)凸以及α_1凹-(—α_2)凸等性质的混合单调算子的新不动点定理,并将所获结果应用于Hammerstein非线性积分方程。  相似文献

In the literature, when dealing with equilibrium problems and the existence of their solutions, the most used assumptions are the convexity of the domain and the generalized convexity and monotonicity, together with some weak continuity assumptions, of the function. In this paper, we focus on conditions that do not involve any convexity concept, neither for the domain nor for the function involved. Starting from the well-known Ekeland's theorem for minimization problems, we find a suitable set of conditions on the function f that lead to an Ekeland's variational principle for equilibrium problems. Via the existence of ε-solutions, we are able to show existence of equilibria on general closed sets for equilibrium problems and systems of equilibrium problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish some new generalized KKM-type theorems based on weakly generalized KKM mapping without any convexity structure in topological spaces. As applications, some minimax inequalities and an existence theorem of equilibrium points for an abstract generalized vector equilibrium problem are proved in topological spaces. As a consequence of an abstract theorem proved elsewhere, a vector Weierstrass theorem for the existence of a weakly efficient solution without any convexity assumption is established. By using the notion (recently introduced in an earlier paper) of semistrict quasiconvexity for vector functions and assuming additional structure on the space, new existence results encompassing many results appearing in the literature are derived. Also, when the cone defining the preference relation satisfies some mild assumptions (but including the polyhedral and icecream cones), various characterizations for the nonemptiness and compactness of the weakly efficient solution set to convex vector optimization problems are given. This paper provides a TU α-core existence result in a large class of normal form games. In the oligopoly markets of a homogeneous good, the TU α-core is non-empty if all profit functions are continuous and concave. In a general game, the existence of TU α-core follows from the weak separability, the compactness and convexity of choice sets, and the concavity and continuity of payoff functions. In this paper we provide first existence results for solutions of the generalized equilibrium problem with composed functions (GEPC) under generalized convexity assumptions. Then we construct by employing some tools specific to the theory of conjugate duality two gap functions for (GEPC). The importance of these gap functions is to be seen in the fact that they equivalently characterize the solutions of an equilibrium problem. We also prove that for some particular instances of (GEPC) the gap functions we introduce here become among others the celebrated Auslender’s and Giannessi’s gap functions.  相似文献

In this paper, we provide a new result of the existence of equilibria for set-valued maps on bounded closed subsets K of Hilbert spaces. We do not impose either convexity or compactness assumptions on K but we assume that K has epi-Lipschitz sections, i.e. its intersection with suitable finite dimensional spaces is locally the epigraph of Lipschitz functions. In finite dimensional spaces, the famous Brouwer theorem asserts the existence of a fixed point for a continuous function from a compact convex set K to itself. Our result could be viewed as a kind of generalization of this classical result in the context of Hilbert spaces and when the function (or the set-valued map) does not necessarily map K into itself (K is not invariant under the map). Our approach is based firstly on degree theory for compact and for condensing set-valued maps and secondly on flows generated by trajectories of differential inclusions.  相似文献

In this paper, the existence and iterative approximation of fixed points for a class of systems of mixed monotone multivalued operator are discussed. We present some new fixed point theorems of mixed monotone operators and increasing operators which need not be continuous or satisfy a compactness condition. We also give some applications to differential inclusions with discontinuous right hand side in Banach spaces and to Hammerstein integral inclusions on RN.  相似文献

Here we study the structure of Nash equilibrium points forN-person games. For two-person games we observe that exchangeability and convexity of the set of equilibrium points are synonymous. This is shown to be false even for three-person games. For completely mixed games we get the necessary inequality constraints on the number of pure strategies for the players. Whereas the equilibrium point is unique for completely mixed two-person games, we show that it is not true for three-person completely mixed game without some side conditions such as convexity on the equilibrium set. It is a curious fact that for the special three-person completely mixed game with two pure strategies for each player, the equilibrium point is unique; the proof of this involves some combinatorial arguments.  相似文献
