The solution of an infinite plane containing a macro crack and a cluster of micro cracks under uniaxial tensile load was presented based on Muskhelishvili’s complex function method and the stepwise recursive method. The stress field and stress intensity factor K were obtained. Combined with the damage mechanics, damage parameter D of the macro-crack tip and the micro-crack tip under uniaxial tension was redefined, and the influence of different damage zone forms on the damage of the crack tip was analyzed. The results show that, both the chain-distribution and the reverse-chain-distribution micro cracks have an amplifying effect on the macro crack growth, and the damage parameter increases with the decrease of the inclination angle of the micro crack and the reduction of the distance between the macro crack and the micro cracks. For a relatively small inclination angle of the micro crack, the damage parameters of the macro crack and the micro crack heightens, and the damage parameter of the macro crack increases with the micro-crack length. For evenly distributed micro cracks in the continuous damage zone, the micro cracks have an amplifying effect on the macro-crack growth, and the damage parameter of the macro crack increases with the micro-crack number. © 2022 Editorial Office of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. Let Ln be the hexagonal chain graph,Fnbe the hexacyclic system graph and Mn be the M¨obius hexacyclic system graph. Derflinger and Sofer gave the spectra of Ln and Fn by using group theoretical method. Later, Gutman gave the spectra of them using a polynomial result due to Godsil and McKay. In this paper, we give a simple and direct method to determine the characteristic polynomial and spectra of Fn and Ln. By the method, we give the characteristic polynomial and spectrum of Mn that is new. Additionally, the exact values of total π-electron energy and the nullities of Ln, Fn and Mn are obtained, and the bounds for the energy of Ln and Mn are also considered.  相似文献

A closed-form solution of responses of SDOF structures with SPIS-Ⅱ dampers under seismic excitation modeled with the Clough-Pezien spectrum was proposed, and the shock absorption performance and influential factors of this system were studied based on the proposed method. Firstly, the motion equation for the SPIS-Ⅱ damper was established, and the unified expressions of frequency domain solutions of structural responses, such as the structural displacement and the inerter force, were obtained. Secondly, based on the rational expression decomposition and the residue theorem, the quadratic orthogonal equations of the frequency response eigenvalue function and the Clough-Pezien spectrum were obtained respectively, and in turn the quadratic orthogonal equation of the structural response power spectrum was deduced. Thirdly, the concise closed-form solutions of the 0~2nd-order spectral moments of the structural responses were acquired. The proposed method and the virtual excitation method were used to analyze a case respectively, which verifies the correctness of the proposed method. Finally, the proposed method was used to analyze the effects of the inerter parameters on the seismic performances of the structure. The research shows that, the proposed method gives closed-form solutions better than those given by the virtual excitation method in terms of computation efficiency and accuracy. The damping performance will improve with the increase of µm and µξ for a constant µω and the damping performance will reach the optimum for µω=1. © 2023 Editorial Office of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. In this paper,the global existence of the classical solution to the vacuum free boundary problem of full compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with large initial data and axial symmetry is studied.The solutions to the system(1.6)–(1.8) are in the class of radius-dependent solutions,i.e.,independent of the axial variable and the angular variable.In particular,the expanding rate of the moving boundary is obtained.The main difficulty of this problem lies in the strong coupling of the magnetic field,velocity,temperature and the degenerate density near the free boundary.We overcome the obstacle by establishing the lower bound of the temperature by using different Lagrangian coordinates,and deriving the uniform-in-time upper and lower bounds of the Lagrangian deformation variable r;by weighted estimates,and also the uniform-in-time weighted estimates of the higher-order derivatives of solutions by delicate analysis.  相似文献

Based on the equivalent elasticity theory for layered materials, the micro-mechanics equivalent models for single and dual damascene structures were established. The equivalent elastic constant of the patterned structure was introduced, to establish the propagation model for the surface acoustic waves propagating in the layered structure of the patterned film/ substrate, and the theoretical dispersion curves of the surface acoustic waves were calculated with Green’s function and the matrix method. The finite element method was used to calculate 24 numerical examples of damascene structures with different volume ratios, and the results were compared with those of the strain energy method. The results show that, the average relative errors of the equivalent Young’s moduli of the 300 nm-thick dual damascene film and the 100 nm-thick single damascene film are 2.06% and 2.27%, respectively. The research verifies the correctness of the equivalent patterned structure model and the feasibility of the surface acoustic wave method to characterize the mechanical properties of patterned films, and provides a reference for the development of suitable chemico-mechanical polishing technologies for patterned films under low pressure. © 2023 Editorial Office of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. A moving collocation method has been shown to be very efficient for the adaptive solution of second- and fourth-order time-dependent partial differential equations and forms the basis for the two robust codes MOVCOL and MOVCOL4.In this paper,the relations between the method and the traditional collocation and finite volume methods are investigated.It is shown that the moving collocation method inherits desirable properties of both methods: the ease of implementation and high-order convergence of the traditional collocation method and the mass conservation of the finite volume method.Convergence of the method in the maximum norm is proven for general linear two-point boundary value problems.Numerical results are given to demonstrate the convergence order of the method.  相似文献

Amplitude equations governing the nonlinear resonant interaction of equatorial baroclinic and barotropic Rossby waves were derived by Majda and Biello and used as a model for long range interactions (teleconnections) between the tropical and midlatitude troposphere. An overview of that derivation is nonlinear wave theory, but not in atmospheric presented and geared to readers versed in sciences. In the course of the derivation, two other sets of asymptotic equations are presented: the long equatorial wave equations and the weakly nonlinear, long equatorial wave equations. A linear transformation recasts the amplitude equations as nonlinear and linearly coupled KdV equations governing the amplitude of two types of modes, each of which consists of a coupled tropical/midlatitude flow. In the limit of Rossby waves with equal dispersion, the transformed amplitude equations become two KdV equations coupled only through nonlinear fluxes. Four numerical integrations are presented which show (i) the interaction of two solitons, one from either mode, (ii) and (iii) the interaction of a soliton in the presence of different mean wind shears, and (iv) the interaction of two solitons mediated by the presence of a mean wind shear.  相似文献

Recently, Bal proposed a block-counter-diagonal and a block-counter-triangular precon- ditioning matrices to precondition the GMRES method for solving the structured system of linear equations arising from the Galerkin finite-element discretizations of the distributed control problems in (Computing 91 (2011) 379-395). He analyzed the spectral properties and derived explicit expressions of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the preconditioned matrices. By applying the special structures and properties of the eigenvector matrices of the preconditioned matrices, we derive upper bounds for the 2-norm condition numbers of the eigenvector matrices and give asymptotic convergence factors of the preconditioned GMRES methods with the block-counter-diagonal and the block-counter-triangular pre- conditioners. Experimental results show that the convergence analyses match well with the numerical results.  相似文献

To study the effects of bamboo fiber and steel wire mesh on the flexural ductility of basalt fiber reinforced polymer(BFRP)bar concrete beams, 7 BFRP bar concrete beams with bamboo fiber and steel wire mesh were tested with different bamboo fiber lengths (0 mm, 30 mm and 45 mm) and different steel wire mesh layout ranges (0, 1/2 maximum bending moment point layout and full beam length layout). The flexural failure tests of the 7 beams were carried out, and the initial crack loads, the crack developments, the ultimate loads and the deformations were detected. The effects of the fiber length and the wire mesh layout range on the crack resistance and the deformation resistance of the specimens were analyzed based on the test data. With the function model, the equivalent yield points of the 7 test beams were obtained, and their ductility coefficients were calculated. The results show that, the addition of bamboo fiber and steel wire mesh increases the cracking loads of BFRP bar concrete beams by 12%~68%, decreases the crack spacings and the crack length development speed, reduces the test beam deformation under the same load, and increases the ductility coefficient by 1.58%~31.75%. © 2023 Editorial Office of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. This paper is concerned with the statistical modeling of the dependence structure of multivariate financial data using the copula, and the application of copula functions in VaR valuation. After the introduction of the pure copula method and the maximum and minimum mixture copula method, authors present a new algorithm based on the more generalized mixture copula functions and the dependence measure, and apply the method to the portfolio of Shanghai stock composite index and Shenzhen stock component index. Comparing with the results from various methods, one can find that the mixture copula method is better than the pure Gaussian copula method and the maximum and minimum mixture copula method on different VaR level.  相似文献

The uneven riverbed, and the impact and scour actions by water flow, make the underwater buried pipeline vulnerable to exposure and suspension, and endanger the pipeline operation safety. To investigate the mechanical properties and failure behaviors of the suspended pipeline section under water impact, according to the failure mechanism of the pipeline, the statics and dynamics analyses of the pipeline were carried out, and the graded safety evaluation technique for the buried pipeline with suspended sections was presented. First, a “static strength safety evaluation under static loads” (level 1) was conducted according to the mechanical features and stress states of the pipeline’s suspended section. Second, a “resonance safety evaluation under dynamic loads” (level 2) was conducted based on the correlation between the natural vibration frequencies of the suspended pipeline and the vortex emission frequencies of water flow. Finally, the periodical change process of the pipeline’s alternating stress was studied to solve the fatigue damage and fatigue life of the pipeline, and the “fatigue strength safety evaluation under dynamic loads” (level 3) was performed. Thus, a 3-level safety assessment procedure for pipelines with suspended sections was proposed. The stabilizing measures for pipelines of poor safety were suggested, and through an example, a specific calculation process was provided. The work serves as a theoretical guide for the safety evaluation of the suspended sections of underwater buried pipelines. © 2023 Editorial Office of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics.
