This paper presents a new kind of algebraic-trigonometric blended spline curve, called xyB curves, generated over the space {1,t,sint,cost,sin2t,sin3t,cos3t}. The new curves not only inherit most properties of usual cubic B-spline curves in polynomial space, but also enjoy some other advantageous properties for modeling. For given control points, the shape of the new curves can be adjusted by using the parameters x and y. When the control points and the parameters are chosen appropriately, the new curves can represent some conics and transcendental curves. In addition, we present methods of constructing an interpolation xyB-spline curve and an xyB-spline curve which is tangent to the given control polygon. The generation of tensor product surfaces by these new spline curves is straightforward. Many properties of the curves can be easily extended to the surfaces. The new surfaces can exactly represent the rotation surfaces as well as the surfaces with elliptical or circular sections.  相似文献

The construction of trigonometric B-spline curves with shape parameters has become the hotspot in computer aided geometric design.However,the shape parameters of the curves and surfaces are all global parameters and only meet with C~2 continuity in some previous papers.In order to provide more flexible approaches for designers,the algebraic and trigonometric spline(AT-spline) curves and surfaces are constructed as a generalization of the traditional cubic uniform B-spline curves and surfaces.AT-spline curves and surfaces not only inherit the properties of trigonometric B-spline curves,but also exhibit better performance when adjusting its local shapes through two shape parameters.Particularly,the AT-spline rotational surfaces with two local shape parameters are presented.When the shape parameters take special value,it can accurately represent the conic curve and surface.  相似文献

In CAGD, the Said-Ball representation for a polynomial curve has two advantages over the Bézier representation, since the degrees of Said-Ball basis are distributed in a step type. One advantage is that the recursive algorithm of Said-Ball curve for evaluating a polynomial curve runs twice as fast as the de Casteljau algorithm of Bézier curve. Another is that the operations of degree elevation and reduction for a polynomial curve in Said-Ball form are simpler and faster than in Bézier form. However, Said-Ball curve can not exactly represent conics which are usually used in aircraft and machine element design. To further extend the utilization of Said-Ball curve, this paper deduces the representation theory of rational cubic and quartic Said-Ball conics, according to the necessary and sufficient conditions for conic representation in rational low degree Bézier form and the transformation formula from Bernstein basis to Said-Ball basis. The results include the judging method for whether a rational quartic Said-Ball curve is a conic section and design method for presenting a given conic section in rational quartic Said-Ball form. Many experimental curves are given for confirming that our approaches are correct and effective.  相似文献

For the cubic trigonometric polynomial curves with a shape parameter (TB curves, for short), the effects of the shape parameter on the TB curve are made clear, the shape features of the TB curve are analyzed. The necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for these curves having single or double inflection points, a loop or a cusp, or be locally or globally convex. The results are summarized in a shape diagram of TB curves, which is useful when using TB curves for curve and surface modeling. Furthermore the influences of shape parameter on the shape diagram and the ability for adjusting the shape of the curve are shown by graph examples, respectively.  相似文献

A class of spline curves with four local shape parameters, which includes the quartic spline curves with three local shape parameters given in Han [Xuli Han. A class of general quartic spline curves with shape parameters. Comput. Aided Geom. Design, 28: 151–163 (2011)], is proposed. Without solving a linear system, the spline curves can be used to interpolate sets of points with C2 continuity partly or entirely. In order to relieve the deficiency of the usual cubic Hermite spline curves, the quartic Hermite spline curves with shape parameters is further studied in this work. The interpolation error and estimator of the quartic Hermite spline curves are given. And the characteristics of the quartic Hermite spline curves are discussed. The quartic Hermite spline curves not only have the same interpolation and conti-nuity properties of the usual cubic Hermite spline curves, but also can achieve local or global shape adjustment and C2 continuity by the shape parameters when the interpolation conditions are fixed.  相似文献

A cubic trigonometric Bézier curve analogous to the cubic Bézier curve, with two shape parameters, is presented in this work. The shape of the curve can be adjusted by altering the values of shape parameters while the control polygon is kept unchanged. With the shape parameters, the cubic trigonometric Bézier curves can be made close to the cubic Bézier curves or closer to the given control polygon than the cubic Bézier curves. Families of parameter dependent univariate and bivariate subdivision schemes are presented in this paper. These families are new variants of the Lane-Riesenfeld algorithm. So the subdivision algorithms consist of both refining and smoothing steps. In refining step, we use the quartic B-spline based subdivision schemes. In smoothing step, we average the adjacent points. The bivariate schemes are the non-tensor product version of our univariate schemes. Moreover, for odd and even number of smoothing steps, we get the primal and dual schemes respectively. Higher regularity of the schemes can be achieved by increasing the number of smoothing steps. These schemes can be nicely generalized to contain local shape parameters that allow the user to adjust locally the shape of the limit curve/surface.  相似文献

A class of polynomial curve schemes is introduced that may have widespread application to CAGD (computer-aided geometric design), and which contains many well-known curve schemes, including Bézier curves, Lagrange polynomials, B-spline curve (segments), and Catmull-Rom spline (segments). The curves in this class can be characterized by a simple recursion formula. They are also shown to have many properties desirable for CAGD; in particular they are affine invariant, have the convex hull property, and possess a recursive evaluation algorithm. Further, these curves have shape parameters which may be used as a design tool for introducing such geometric effects as tautness, bias, or interpolation. Plane quartic curves given by equations of the form y 2=P(x) with polynomials P of degree 4 represent singular models of elliptic curves which are directly related to elliptic integrals in the form studied by Euler and for which he developed his famous addition formulas. For cubic curves, the well-known secant and tangent construction establishes an immediate connection of addition formulas for the corresponding elliptic integrals with the structure of an algebraic group. The situation for quartic curves is considerably more complicated due to the presence of the singularity. We present a geometric construction, similar in spirit to the secant method for cubic curves, which defines an addition law on a quartic elliptic curve given by rational functions. Furthermore, we show how this addition on the curve itself corresponds to the addition in the (generalized) Jacobian variety of the curve, and we show how any addition formula for elliptic integrals of the form ò(1/?{P(x)}) dx\int (1/\sqrt{P(x)})\,\mathrm{d}x with a quartic polynomial P can be derived directly from this addition law.  相似文献

By incorporating two exponential functions into the cubic Bernstein basis functions, a new class of λμ-Bernstein basis functions is constructed. Based on these λμ-Bernstein basis functions, a kind of λμ-Bézier-like curve with two shape parameters, which include the cubic Bernstein-Bézier curve, is proposed. The C 1 and C 2 continuous conditions for joining two λμ-Bézier-like curves are given. By using tensor product method, a class of rectangular Bézier-like patches with four shape parameters is shown. The G 1 and G 2 continuous conditions for joining two rectangular Bézier-like patches are derived. By incorporating three exponential functions into the cubic Bernstein basis functions over triangular domain, a new class of λμη-Bernstein basis functions over triangular domain is also constructed. Based on the λμη-Bernstein basis functions, a kind of triangular λμη-Bézier-like patch with three shape parameters, which include the triangular Bernstein-Bézier cubic patch, is presented. The conditions for G 1 continuous smooth joining two triangular λμη-Bézier-like patches are discussed. The shape parameters serve as tension parameters and have a predictable adjusting role on the curves and patches.  相似文献

在三次Cardinal插值样条曲线的基础上,引入了三角函数多项式,得到一组带调形参数的三次三角Cardinal样条基函数,以此构造一种可调形的三次三角Cardinal插值样条曲线.该插值样条可以精确表示直线、圆弧、椭圆以及自由曲线,改变调形参数可以调控插值曲线的形状.该插值样条避免了使用有理形式,其表达式较为简洁,计算量也相对较少,从而为多种线段的构造与处理提供了一种通用与简便的方法.  相似文献

构造了一种带两个形状参数的Bézier型曲线,并研究了该曲线的性质、形状参数对曲线的影响及曲线的拼接.所提出的曲线是多项式Bezier曲线的一种同次新扩展,不仅具有传统Bézier曲线的诸多性质,而且可通过修改两个形状参数的取值对其形状进行调节.由于所提出的曲线是一种带有形状参数且与传统Bézier曲线具有相似性质的同次多项式模型,因此比现有的一些带形状参数的Bézier型曲线更有优势.  相似文献
