In this paper, we prove that most of problems in variational relations (in the sense of Baire category) are essential and that, for any problem in variational relations, there exists at least one essential component of its solution set. As applications, we deduce the existence of essential components of the set of Ky Fan’s points based on Ky Fan’s minimax inequality theorem, the existence of essential components of the set of Nash equilibrium points for general n-person non-cooperative games, the existence of essential component of the set of solutions for vector Ky Fan’s minimax inequality, the existence of essential components of the set of KKM points and the existence of essential components of the set of solutions for Ky Fan’s section theorem.  相似文献

In this article, we discuss the stability of equilibrium points for set-valued maps. We introduce the notion of essential components of the set of equilibrium points for set-valued maps and prove an existence theorem of essential components. As applications, we deduce the existence of essential components of the set of coincidence points and show that every Marchaud dynamical economy (cf. [J.P. Aubin, Dynamic Economic Theory, Springer-Verlag, 1997]) possesses at least one essential component of the set of its viable equilibrium points.  相似文献

Using elemental methods of Topology, theory of degree and theory of metric continua, we prove a new version of the theorem of Leray-Schauder. It provides the existence of arc-connected set of solutions. This result may have a lot of applications in a large variety of problems. Although the assumption of the theorem is not easy to verify in practice, this theorem could be an important tool to prove not only the existence of set of solutions but also the existence of a set of solution which is homeomorphic to the interval [0,1]⊂R.  相似文献

This paper introduces the essential stability for set optimization problems. Some kinds of essential stable sets of weakly minimal and minimal solutions are shown. The graph of minimal solution mappings is not necessarily closed, which is different from weakly minimal solution mappings. In the paper, by using Ky Fan’s section theorem, we obtain an existence theorem for vector equilibrium problems. Motivated by the ideas of Kinoshita and McLennan, we introduce the concept of the essential component of the solution set for vector equilibrium problems, and we prove that there exists at least one essential component of the solution set for every vector equilibrium problem satisfying some conditions. In this paper, we first introduce the notions of an essential set and an essential component of the set of efficient solutions for continuous vector optimizations on a nonempty compact subset of a metric space. Then we show that for each of these vector optimizations, each set of all efficient solutions corresponding to the same optimal values is essential. Basing on this result, we give full characterizations of an essential point, an essential set and an essential component, respectively. As an application, we prove that for continuous quasiconvex vector optimization problems on a nonempty compact subset of a metric vector space, each component of the set of efficient solutions is essential even though the efficient solution set is not connected.  相似文献

In this paper, maximal element theorem on Hadamard manifolds is established. First, we prove the existence of solutions for maximal element theorem on Hadamard manifolds. Further, we prove that most of problems in maximal element theorem on Hadamard manifolds (in the sense of Baire category) are essential and that, for any problem in maximal element theorem on Hadamard manifolds, there exists at least one essential component of its solution set. To discover derivatives, Pierre de Fermat used to assume a non-zero increment h in the incremental ratio and, after some calculations, to set h=0 in the final result. This method, which sounds as inconsistent, can be perfectly formalized with the Fermat–Reyes theorem about existence and uniqueness of a smooth incremental ratio. In the present work, we will introduce the cartesian closed category where to study and prove this theorem and describe in general the Fermat method. The framework is the theory of Fermat reals, an extension of the real field containing nilpotent infinitesimals which does not need any knowledge of mathematical logic. This key theorem will be essential in the development of differential and integral calculus for smooth functions defined on the ring of Fermat reals and also for infinite-dimensional operators like derivatives and integrals.  相似文献

In this paper, by using global bifurcation theories we obtain some results for structure of positive solution set of some nonlinear equations with parameters. As a result, we obtain some existence results for positive solutions of the nonlinear operator equation. Over the past decades various solution concepts for vector optimization problems have been established and used: among them are efficient, weakly efficient and properly efficient solutions. In contrast to the classical approach, we define a solution to be a set of efficient solutions on which the infimum of the objective function with respect to an appropriate complete lattice (the space of self-infimal sets) is attained. The set of weakly efficient solutions is not considered to be a solution, but weak efficiency is essential in the construction of the complete lattice. In this way, two classic concepts are involved in a common approach. Several different notions of semicontinuity are compared. Using the space of self-infimal sets, we can show that various originally different concepts coincide. A Weierstrass existence result is proved for our solution concept. A slight relaxation of the solution concept yields a relationship to properly efficient solutions.  相似文献
