α-TRANSIENCE AND α-RECURRENCE FOR RANDOM WALKS AND LEVY PROCESSES

The authors investigate the α-transience and α-recurrence for random walks and Levy processes by means of the associated moment generating function, give a dichotomy theorem for not one-sided processes and prove that the process X is quasi-symmetric if and only if X is not α-recurrent for all α< 0 which gives a probabilistic explanation of quasi-symmetry, a concept originated from C. J. Stone.     

Generalized PP and Zip Subrings of Matrix Rings

Let R be an abelian ring. We consider a special subring An, relative to α2,…, αn∈ REnd（R）, of the matrix ring Mn（R） over a ring R. It is shown that the ring An is a generalized right PP-ring （right zip ring） if and only if the ring R is a generalized right PP-ring （right zip ring）. Our results yield more examples of generalized right PP-rings and right ziu rings.

Let R be a ring with an endomorphism α and an α-derivation δ. We introduce the notions of symmetric α-rings and weak symmetric α-rings which are generalizations of symmetric rings and weak symmetric rings, respectively, discuss the relations between symmetricα-rings and related rings and investigate their extensions. We prove that if R is a reduced ring and α(1) = 1, then R is a symmetric α-ring if and only if R[x]/(x n) is a symmetric ˉα-ring for any positive integer n. Moreover, it is proven that if R is a right Ore ring, α an automorphism of R and Q(R) the classical right quotient ring of R, then R is a symmetric α-ring if and only if Q(R) is a symmetric ˉα-ring. Among others we also show that if a ring R is weakly 2-primal and(α, δ)-compatible, then R is a weak symmetric α-ring if and only if the Ore extension R[x; α, δ] of R is a weak symmetric ˉα-ring.     

Uniform packing dimension results for multiparameter stable processes

In this article, authors discuss the problem of uniform packing dimension of the image set of multiparameter stochastic processes without random uniform H(o)lder condition, and obtain the uniform packing dimension of multiparameter stable processes.If Z is a stable (N, d, α)-process and αN ≤ d, then the following holds with probability 1 Dim Z(E) = α DimE for any Borel setE ∈ B(R N),where Z(E) = {x: (E) t ∈ E, Z(t) = x}. Dim(E) denotes the packing dimension of E.     

Successful couplings for a class of stochastic differential equations driven by Lvy processes

By constructing proper coupling operators for the integro-differential type Markov generator,we establish the existence of a successful coupling for a class of stochastic differential equations driven by L’evy processes.Our result implies a new Liouville theorem for space-time bounded harmonic functions with respect to the underlying Markov semigroups,and it is sharp for Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes driven by α-stable L’evy processes.     

KERNEL ESTIMATION OF HIGHER DERIVATIVES OF DENSITY AND HAZARD RATE FUNCTION FOR TRUNCATED AND CENSORED DEPENDENT DATA

Based on left truncated and right censored dependent data, the estimators of higher derivatives of density function and hazard rate function are given by kernel smoothing method. When observed data exhibit α-mixing dependence, local properties including strong consistency and law of iterated logarithm are presented. Moreover, when the mode estimator is defined as the random variable that maximizes the kernel density estimator, the asymptotic normality of the mode estimator is established.

LMS-LIKE ESTIMATION FOR TIME VARYING PARAMETERS

An LMS-like algorithm is applied for estimating the time-varying parameter θ_n in the linear model y_n=φ_n~τθ_n+v_n, which is general in the sense that none of the probabilistic properties such as stationarity, Marker property, independence and ergodicity is imposed on any of the processes {y_n}, {φ_n}, {θ_n} and {v_n}. It is shown that the α-th moment of the estimation error is of order of the α-th moment of the observation noise and the parameter variation     

Principal quasi-Baerness of formal power series rings

Let R be a ring. We consider left （or right） principal quasi-Baerness of the left skew formal power series ring R[[x;α]] over R where a is a ring automorphism of R. We give a necessary and sufficient condition under which the ring R[[x; α]] is left （or right） principally quasi-Baer. As an application we show that R[[x]] is left principally quasi-Baer if and only if R is left principally quasi- Baer and the left annihilator of the left ideal generated by any countable family of idempotents in R is generated by an idempotent.     

RIGHT MEAN FOR THE α-z BURES-WASSERSTEIN QUANTUM DIVERGENCE

The optimization problem to minimize the weighted sum of α-z Bures-Wasserstein quantum divergences to given positive definite Hermitian matrices has been solved.We call the unique minimizer the α-z weighted right mean,which provides a new non-commutative version of generalized mean(H?lder mean).We investigate its fundamental properties,and give many interesting operator inequalities with the matrix power mean including the Cartan mean.Moreover,we verify the trace inequality with the Wasserstein ...     

Global dimension and left derived functors of Hom

It is well known that the right global dimension of a ring R is usually computed by the right derived functors of Hom and the left projective resolutions of right R-modules. In this paper, for a left coherent and right perfect ring R, we characterize the right global dimension of R, from another point of view, using the left derived functors of Hom and the right projective resolutions of right R-modules. It is shown that rD(R)≤n (n≥2) if and only if the gl right Proj-dim MR≤n - 2 if and only if Extn-1(N, M) = 0 for all right R-modules N and M if and only if every (n - 2)th Proj-cosyzygy of a right R-module has a projective envelope with the unique mapping property. It is also proved that rD(R)≤n (n≥1) if and only if every (n-1)th Proj-cosyzygy of a right R-module has an epic projective envelope if and only if every nth Vroj-cosyzygy of a right R-module is projective. As corollaries, the right hereditary rings and the rings R with rD(R)≤2 are characterized.     

A remark on Kac’s scattering length formula

The scattering length formula was formulated and proved in special cases by Kac in 1974 and 1975.It was discussed by a series of authors,including Taylor 1976,Tamura 1992 and Takahashi 1990.The formula was proved by Takeda 2010 in symmetric case and by He 2011 assuming weak duality.In this article,we shall use the powerful tool of Kutznetsov measures to prove this formula in the general framework of right Markov processes without further assumptions.     

The Discrete Approximation of Continuous-state Nonlinear Branching Processes in Lévy Random Environments北大核心CSCD

In this paper, we establish the discrete approximation of continuous-state nonlinear branching processes in Lévy random environments by using tightness and convergence sequence in infinite dimensional product space via stochastic differential equations. Taking α-stable branching as an example, the conditions which are given to discretize continuous-state nonlinear branching processes in Lévy random environments are verified. © 2022 Chinese Academy of Sciences. A new structure with the special property that instantaneous state and catastrophes is imposed to ordinary birth-death processes is considered. Kendall's conjecture for the processes is proved to be right.     

幺半群上的强α-自反环（英文）

For a monoid M and an endomorphism α of a ring R, we introduce the notion of strongly M-α-reflexive rings and study its properties. For an u.p.-monoid M and a right Ore ring R with its classical right quotient ring Q, we prove that R is strongly M-α-reflexive if and only if Q is strongly M-α-reflexive, where R is α-rigid, α is an epimorphism of R. The relationship between some special subrings of upper triangular matrix rings and strongly M-α-reflexive rings is also investigated. Several known results similar to strongly M-α-reversible rings are obtained.     

CRITERIA OF STRONG TRANSIENCE FOR OPERATOR-SELF-SIMILAR MARKOV PROCESSES

Yamamuro in [1] defines strong and weak transience of Markov processes; gives a criterion for strong transience of Feller processes; and further, discusses strong and weak transience of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck type processes. In this article, the authors weaken the Feller property of the result in [1] to weak Feller property and discuss the strong transience of operator-self-similar Markov processes.     

Composition Operators on α-Bloch Spaces of the Unit Ball

The authors characterize the boundedness and compactness of composition operators between α-Bloch spaces of the unit ball.

In this paper, we define the concept of (right) partial generalized automorphisms and discuss the extension problem, and also give a characterization of (right) partial generalized automorphisms of semiprime rings. Finally, we study the centralizing problem of right partial generalized automorphisms.     

Stable sub-Gaussian models constructed by Poisson processes

In this paper, we first prove that one-parameter standard α-stable sub-Gaussian processes can be approximated by processes constructed by integrals based on the Poisson process with random intensity. Then we extend this result to the two-parameter processes. At last, we consider the approximation of the subordinated fractional Brownian motion.     

Weyl Spectrum of Upper Triangular Operator Matrices

This paper is concerned with general n × n upper-triangular operator matrices with given diagonal entries. The characterizations of perturbations of their left(resp. right) Weyl spectrum and Weyl spectrum are given, based on the space decomposition technique. Moreover, some sufficient and necessary conditions are given under which the left(resp. right) Weyl spectrum and the Weyl spectrum of such operator matrix, respectively, coincide with the union of the left(resp. right) Weyl spectrum and the Weyl spectrum of its diagonal entries.
