In this paper, we study the existence and linear stability of the Broucke periodic orbit in the planar three-body problem. In each period of this orbit, there are two binary collisions (or BC for short) between the outer bodies, while the inner body reaches its minimum or maximum at the time of each BC. A surprising simple existence proof of this orbit is given. The initial condition of this orbit is shown to be a supremum of some well-chosen set. The linear stability is then analyzed by Roberts? symmetry reduction method. It is shown that the Broucke periodic orbit with equal masses is linearly stable.  相似文献

In Lie theory, a dense orbit in the nilpotent radical of a parabolic group under the operation of the parabolic is called a Richardson orbit. We define a quiver-graded version of Richardson orbits generalizing the classical definition in the case of the general linear group. We define a quasi-hereditary algebra called the nilpotent quiver algebra whose isomorphism classes of Δ-filtered modules correspond to orbits in our generalized setting. We translate the existence of a Richardson orbit into the existence of a rigid Δ-filtered module of a given dimension vector. We study an idempotent recollement of this algebra whose associated intermediate extension functor can be used to produce Richardson orbits in some situations. This can be explicitly calculated in examples. We also give examples where no Richardson orbit exists.  相似文献

In this paper, we define a relative Morse index for two continuous symmetric matrices paths in R2n satisfying condition (B1) and study its relation with the Maslov-type indices under brake orbit boundary value of these two symmetric matrices paths. As applications, using this relation we obtain a multiple existence of periodic brake orbit solutions of asymptotically linear Hamiltonian system in the presence of symmetries.  相似文献

We study reductive group actions on complex affine quadrics. Such an action is called linearizable if it is equivalent to the restriction of a linear orthogonal action in the ambient affine space of the quadric. A linear model for a given action is a linear orthogonal action with the same orbit types and equivalent slice representations. We prove that if a reductive group action on an affine quadric with a 1-dimensional quotient has a linear model, then the action is linearizable. As a consequence, the action is linearizable if certain topological conditions are satisfied.  相似文献

Constant dimension codes are subsets of the finite Grassmann variety. The study of these codes is a central topic in random linear network coding theory. Orbit codes represent a subclass of constant dimension codes. They are defined as orbits of a subgroup of the general linear group on the Grassmannian. This paper gives a complete characterization of orbit codes that are generated by an irreducible cyclic group, i.e. a group having one generator that has no non-trivial invariant subspace. We show how some of the basic properties of these codes, the cardinality and the minimum distance, can be derived using the isomorphism of the vector space and the extension field. Furthermore, we investigate the Plücker embedding of these codes and show how the orbit structure is preserved in the embedding.  相似文献

By using the linear independent fundamental solutions of the linear variational equation along the heteroclinic loop to establish a suitable local coordinate system in some small tubular neighborhood of the heteroclinic loop, the Poincaré map is constructed to study the bifurcation problems of a fine 3–point loop in higher dimensional space. Under some transversal conditions and the non–twisted condition, the existence, coexistence and incoexistence of 2–point–loop, 1–homoclinic orbit, simple 1–periodic orbit and 2–fold 1–periodic orbit, and the number of 1–periodic orbits are studied. Moreover, the bifurcation surfaces and existence regions are given. Lastly, the above bifurcation results are applied to a planar system and an inside stability criterion is obtained. In this paper, we give a sufficient condition for the existence of a common universal subspace for various countable families of universal sequences of linear operators. Besides, we show that if σp(T?)=∅σp(T?)=, the unitary orbit of the supercyclic operator T contains a path of operators whose closure contains the entire unitary orbit with the strong operator topology, and yet every nonzero vector in the linear span of the orbit of a given supercyclic vector is a common supercyclic vector for the entire path.  相似文献

We study the orbit structure and the geometric quantization of a pair of mutually commuting hamiltonian actions on a symplectic manifold. If the pair of actions fulfils a symplectic Howe condition, we show that there is a canonical correspondence between the orbit spaces of the respective moment images. Furthermore, we show that reduced spaces with respect to the action of one group are symplectomorphic to coadjoint orbits of the other group. In the Kähler case we show that the linear representation of a pair of compact connected Lie groups on the geometric quantization of the manifold is then equipped with a representation-theoretic Howe duality.  相似文献

The determination of the basin of attraction of a periodic orbit can be achieved using a Lyapunov function. A Lyapunov function can be constructed by approximation of a first-order linear PDE for the orbital derivative via meshless collocation. However, if the periodic orbit is only accessible numerically, a different method has to be used near the periodic orbit. Borg's criterion provides a method to obtain information about the basin of attraction by measuring whether adjacent solutions approach each other with respect to a Riemannian metric. Using a numerical approximation of the periodic orbit and its first variation equation, a suitable Riemannian metric is constructed.  相似文献

Linear functionals on the Lie algebra of an arbitrary semisimple compact Lie group with restrictions of these functionals onto an arbitrary orbit of the adjoint action are considered. Criteria for the criticality and non-degenerate criticality of a point on the orbit are formulated and proved for a given functional, a necessary and sufficient condition for a linear functional to be a Morse function on the orbit is also proved. A method calculating the indices of critical points and its applications in the study of topological properties of orbits are indicated.  相似文献

In this article we classify normal forms and unfoldings of linear maps in eigenspaces of (anti)-automorphisms of order two. Our main motivation is provided by applications to linear systems of ordinary differential equations, general and Hamiltonian, which have both time-preserving and time-reversing symmetries. However, the theory gives a uniform method to obtain normal forms and unfoldings for a wide variety of linear differential equations with additional structure. We give several examples and include a discussion of the phenomenon of orbit splitting. As a consequence of orbit splitting we observe passing and splitting of eigenvalues in unfoldings.  相似文献

A multidimensional basis of p-adic wavelets is constructed. The relation of the constructed basis to a system of coherent states i.e., orbit of action) for some p-adic group of linear transformations is discussed. We show that the set of products of the vectors from the constructed basis and p-roots of unity is the orbit of the corresponding p-adic group of linear transformations. The problem of orbit determination using one or two GPS satellites is discussed. Methods of getting initial values based on linear translation is presented; the Secant method and the descend Newton iterative procedure and the continuation algorithm are used synthetically to solve the nonlinear equations. Computer simulation shows that this algorithm can give preliminary state of satellite orbit with a certain precision in short time.  相似文献

We define the notion of an orbit matrix with respect to standard weighing matrices, and with respect to types of weighing matrices with entries in a finite field. In the latter case we primarily restrict our attention the fields of order 2, 3 and 4. We construct self-orthogonal and Hermitian self-orthogonal linear codes over finite fields from these types of weighing matrices and their orbit matrices respectively. We demonstrate that this approach applies to several combinatorial structures such as Hadamard matrices and balanced generalized weighing matrices. As a case study we construct self-orthogonal codes from some weighing matrices belonging to some well known infinite families, such as the Paley conference matrices, and weighing matrices constructed from ternary periodic Golay pairs.  相似文献

We characterize various kinds of cyclicity of sequences of coefficient multipliers, which are operators defined on spaces of holomorphic functions. In the case of a single coefficient multiplier we characterize its cyclicity, which contrasts with the fact that such operators are never supercyclic. Moreover, it is proved that for each cyclic function there is a dense part of the linear span of its orbit all of whose vectors are cyclic.
