Given $$\alpha >0$$, we establish the following two supercritical Moser–Trudinger inequalities $$\begin{aligned} \mathop {\sup }\limits _{ u \in W^{1,n}_{0,\mathrm{rad}}(B): \int _B |\nabla u|^n dx \le 1 } \int _B \exp \big ( (\alpha _n + |x|^\alpha ) |u|^{\frac{n}{n-1}} \big ) dx < +\infty \end{aligned}$$and $$\begin{aligned} \mathop {\sup }\limits _{ u\in W^{1,n}_{0,\mathrm{rad}}(B): \int _B |\nabla u|^n dx \le 1 } \int _B \exp \big ( \alpha _n |u|^{\frac{n}{n-1} + |x|^\alpha } \big ) dx < +\infty , \end{aligned}$$where $$W^{1,n}_{0,\mathrm{rad}}(B)$$ is the usual Sobolev spaces of radially symmetric functions on B in $${\mathbb {R}}^n$$ with $$n\ge 2$$. Without restricting to the class of functions $$W^{1,n}_{0,\mathrm{rad}}(B)$$, we should emphasize that the above inequalities fail in $$W^{1,n}_{0}(B)$$. Questions concerning the sharpness of the above inequalities as well as the existence of the optimal functions are also studied. To illustrate the finding, an application to a class of boundary value problems on balls is presented. This is the second part in a set of our works concerning functional inequalities in the supercritical regime.  相似文献

For functions u subharmonic in the unit ball BN of , this paper compares the growth of the repartition function of their Riesz measure μ with the growth of u near the boundary of BN. We consider the energy functional of a two-phase elastic medium with quadratic energy densities defined for such that ,where is a measurable characteristic function. Under some natural conditions on the data of the problem, we prove the existence of an interval (t -,t +) of the change of temperature such that the energy functional has only a minimizer such that for or such that t^ + $$ " align="middle" border="0"> . In this paper, we continue our investigation on “Extremal problems under dimension constraints” introduced [1]. The general problem we deal with in this paper can be formulated as follows. We show that, from the topological point of view, 2-tape Büchi automata have the same accepting power as Turing machines equipped with a Büchi acceptance condition. The Borel and the Wadge hierarchies of the class RAT ω of infinitary rational relations accepted by 2-tape Büchi automata are equal to the Borel and the Wadge hierarchies of ω-languages accepted by real-time Büchi 1-counter automata or by Büchi Turing machines. In particular, for every non-null recursive ordinal α, there exist some -complete and some -complete infinitary rational relations. And the supremum of the set of Borel ranks of infinitary rational relations is an ordinal which is strictly greater than the first non-recursive ordinal . This very surprising result gives answers to questions of Simonnet [39] and of Lescow and Thomas [30,43]. This paper is an extended version of a conference paper which appeared in the Proceedings of the 23rd International Symposium on Theoretical Aspects of Computer Science, STACS 2006, [19].  相似文献
