In this paper, the existence of multiple limit cycles for Chen system are investigated. By using the method of computing the singular point quantities, the simple and explicit parametric conditions can be determined to the number and stability of multiple limit cycles from Hopf bifurcation. Especially, at least 4 limit cycles can be obtained for the Chen system as a three-dimensional perturbed system.  相似文献

该文研究一类五次多项式微分系统在高次奇点与无穷远点的极限环分支问题. 该系统的原点是高次奇点, 赤道环上没有实奇点. 首先推导出计算高次奇点与无穷远点奇点量的代数递推公式,并用之计算系统原点、无穷远点的奇点量,然后分别讨论了系统原点、无穷远点中心判据. 给出了多项式系统在高次奇点分支出5个极限环同时在无穷远点分支出2个极限环的实例. 这是首次在同步扰动的条件下讨论高次奇点与无穷远点分支出极限环的问题.  相似文献

In this paper, we study dynamics and bifurcation of limit cycles in a recently developed new chaotic system, called extended Lorenz system. A complete analysis is provided for the existence of limit cycles bifurcating from Hopf critical points. The system has three equilibrium solutions: a zero one at the origin and two non-zero ones at two symmetric points. It is shown that the system can either have one limit cycle around the origin, or three limit cycles enclosing each of the two symmetric equilibria, giving a total six limit cycles. It is not possible for the system to have limit cycles simultaneously bifurcating from all the three equilibria. Simulations are given to verify the analytical predictions.  相似文献

In this paper, bifurcation of limit cycles from the infinity of a two-dimensional septic polynomial differential system is investigated. Sufficient and necessary conditions for the infinity to be a center are derived and the fact that there exist 16 large amplitude limit cycles bifurcated from the infinity is proved as well. The study relays on making use of a recursive formula for computing the singular point quantities of the infinity. As far as we know, this is the first example of a septic system with 16 limit cycles bifurcated from the infinity.  相似文献

Abstract Applying Hopf bifurcation theory and qualitative theory, we show that the general cubic Lienardequations with quadratic damping have at most three limit cycles. This implies that the guess in which thesystem has at most two limit cycles is false. We give the sufficient conditions for the system has at most threelimit cycles or two limit cycles. We present two examples with three limit cycles or two limit cycles by usingnumerical simulation.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that perturbing a simple 3-d quadratic system with a center-type singular point can yield at least 10 small-amplitude limit cycles around a singular point. This result improves the 7 limit cycles obtained recently in a simple 3-d quadratic system around a Hopf singular point. Compared with Bautin’s result for quadratic planar vector fields, which can only have 3 small-amplitude limit cycles around an elementary center or focus, this result of 10 limit cycles is surprisingly high. The theory and methodology developed in this paper can be used to consider bifurcation of limit cycles in higher-dimensional systems.  相似文献

The center conditions and bifurcation of limit cycles for a class of fifth degree systems are investigated. Two recursive formulas to compute singular quantities at infinity and at the origin are given. The first nine singular point quantities at infinity and first seven singular point quantities at the origin for the system are given in order to get center conditions and study bifurcation of limit cycles. Two fifth degree systems are constructed. One allows the appearance of eight limit cycles in the neighborhood of infinity,which is the first example that a polynomial differential system bifurcates eight limit cycles at infinity. In this paper, we study quantities at infinity and the appearance of limit cycles from the equator in polynomial vector fields with no singular points at infinity. We start by proving the algebraic equivalence of the corresponding quantities at infinity (also focal values at infinity) for the system and its translational system, then we obtain that the maximum number of limit cycles that can appear at infinity is invariant for the systems by translational transformation. Finally, we compute the singular point quantities of a class of cubic polynomial system and its translational system, reach with relative ease expressions of the first five quantities at infinity of the two systems, then we prove that the two cubic vector fields perturbed identically can have five limit cycles simultaneously in the neighborhood of infinity and construct two systems that allow the appearance of five limit cycles respectively. The positions of these limit cycles can be pointed out exactly without constructing Poincaré cycle fields. The technique employed in this work is essentially different from more usual ones, The calculation can be readily done with using computer symbol operation system such as Mathematics.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the existence of limit cycles of a system of the second-order differential equations with a vector parameter.We propose a method for representing a solution as a sum of forms with respect to the initial value and the parameter; we call this technique the method of small forms. We establish the conditions under which a sufficiently small neighborhood of the equilibrium point contains no limit cycles. We construct a polynomial, whose positive roots of odd multiplicity define the lower bound for the number of cycles, and simple positive roots (other positive roots do not exist) define the number of limit cycles in a sufficiently small neighborhood of the equilibrium point.We prove theorems, whose conditions guarantee that a positive root of odd multiplicity defines a unique limit cycle, but a positive root of even multiplicity defines exactly two limit cycles.We propose a method for defining the type of the stability of limit cycles.  相似文献

This paper concerns with the number of limit cycles for a cubic Hamiltonian system under cubic perturbation. The fact that there exist 9-11 limit cycles is proved. Algebraic limit cycles for quadratic systems started to be studied in 1958. Up to now we know 7 families of quadratic systems having algebraic limit cycles of degree 2, 4, 5 and 6. Here we present some new results on the limit cycles and algebraic limit cycles of quadratic systems. These results provide sometimes necessary conditions and other times sufficient conditions on the cofactor of the invariant algebraic curve for the existence or nonexistence of limit cycles or algebraic limit cycles. In particular, it follows from them that for all known examples of algebraic limit cycles for quadratic systems those cycles are unique limit cycles of the system.  相似文献

Using qualitative analysis and numerical simulation, we investigate the number and distribution of limit cycles for a cubic Hamiltonian system with nine different seven-order perturbed terms. It is showed that these perturbed systems have the same distribution of limit cycles. Furthermore, these systems have 13, 11 and 9 limit cycles for some parameters, respectively. The accurate positions of the 13, 11 and 9 limit cycles are obtained by numerical exploration, respectively. Our results imply that these perturbed systems are equivalent in the sense of distribution of limit cycles. This is useful for studying limit cycles of perturbed systems.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the limit cycles of planar piecewise linear differential systems with two zones separated by a straight line. It is well known that when these systems are continuous they can exhibit at most one limit cycle, while when they are discontinuous the question about maximum number of limit cycles that they can exhibit is still open. For these last systems there are examples exhibiting three limit cycles.The aim of this paper is to study the number of limit cycles for a special kind of planar discontinuous piecewise linear differential systems with two zones separated by a straight line which are known as refracting systems. First we obtain the existence and uniqueness of limit cycles for refracting systems of focus-node type. Second we prove that refracting systems of focus–focus type have at most one limit cycle, thus we give a positive answer to a conjecture on the uniqueness of limit cycle stated by Freire, Ponce and Torres in Freire et al. (2013). These two results complete the proof that any refracting system has at most one limit cycle.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problems of bifurcation of limit cycles and pseudo-isochronous center conditions at degenerate singular point in a class of septic polynomial differential system. We solve the problems by an indirect method, i.e., we transform the degenerate singular point into an elementary singular point. Then we construct a septic system which allows the appearance of eight limit cycles in the neighborhood of degenerate singular point. Finally, we investigate the pseudo-isochronous center conditions at degenerate singular point for the system. As far as we know, this is the first time that an example of septic system with eight limit cycles bifurcating from degenerate singular point is given, and it is also the first time the pseudo-isochronous center conditions at degenerate singular point in a septic system are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a two-parameter perturbated system which takes the systems discussed in [1], [2], [3] as its special case. The bifurcation region of the limit cycles is given on the parameter plane. The author also studies the stability of the limit cycles. We consider the existence of periodic orbits in a class of three-dimensional piecewise linear systems. Firstly, we describe the dynamical behavior of a non-generic piecewise linear system which has two equilibria and one two-dimensional invariant manifold foliated by periodic orbits. The aim of this work is to study the periodic orbits of the continuum that persist under a piecewise linear perturbation of the system. In order to analyze this situation, we build a real function of real variable whose zeros are related to the limit cycles that remain after the perturbation. By using this function, we state some results of existence and stability of limit cycles in the perturbed system, as well as results of bifurcations of limit cycles. The techniques presented are similar to the Melnikov theory for smooth systems and the method of averaging.  相似文献
