Global well-posedness for the 2D critical dissipative quasi-geostrophic equation

We study the initial value problem for the 2D critical dissipative quasi-geostrophic equation. We prove the global existence for small data in the scale invariant Besov spaces Bp,12/p,1≤p≤∞. In particular, for p=∞, our result does not impose any regularity on the initial data. Our proofs are based on an exponential decay estimate of the semigroup e-tk(-Δ)αand the use of space-time Besov spaces.

We investigate the asymptotic behavior of the entropy numbers of Besov classes BBΩp,θ(Sd 1)of generalized smoothness on the sphere inL q(Sd 1)for 1≤p,q,θ≤∞,and get their asymptotic orders.We also obtain the exact orders of entropy numbers of Sobolev classesBWr p(Sd 1)inL q(Sd 1)whenpand/orqis equal to 1 or∞.This provides the last piece as far as exact orders of entropy numbers ofBWr p(Sd 1)inL q(Sd 1)are concerned.

BOUNDEDNESS OF CALDERN-ZYGMUND OPERATORS ON BESOV SPACES AND ITS APPLICATION

In this article, the author introduces a class of non-convolution Calder′on-Zygmund operators whose kernels are certain sums involving the products of Meyer wavelets and their convolutions. The boundedness on Besov spaces ■p0 ,q(1 ≤p,q ≤∞) is also obtained. Moreover, as an application, the author gives a brief proof of the known result that Hrmander condition can ensure the boundedness of convolution-type Calder′on-Zygmund operators on Besov spaces ■p0 ,q(1 ≤p,q ≤∞). However, the proof is quite different from the previous one.
