Under consideration is some class of linear systems of neutral type with periodic coefficients. We obtain the conditions on perturbations of the coefficients which preserve the exponential stability of the zero solution. Using a special Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, we establish some estimates that characterize the rate of exponential decay at infinity of the solutions of the perturbed systems.  相似文献

We propose a new method for studying stability of second order delay differential equations. Results we obtained are of the form: the exponential stability of ordinary differential equation implies the exponential stability of the corresponding delay differential equation if the delays are small enough. We estimate this smallness through the coefficients of this delay equation. Examples demonstrate that our tests of the exponential stability are essentially better than the known ones. This method works not only for autonomous equations but also for equations with variable coefficients and delays.  相似文献

We estimate the number of solutions of certain congruences with Catalan numbers and middle binomial coefficients modulo a prime. It is shown that the dichotomy obtained by Lazer for diagonally dominant linear systems is a weaker condition than that of exponential dichotomy but that the two conditions are equivalent in the case of bounded coefficients. Thus Fink's result that exponential decay of all solutions implies exponential dichotomy does not extend to the case of mixed growth and decay. It is also shown that column dominant systems of mixed sign admit exponential dichotomies when the coefficients are bounded.  相似文献

In this article, I will prove that assuming Schanuel's conjecture, an exponential polynomial with algebraic coefficients can have only finitely many algebraic roots. Furthermore, this proof demonstrates that there are no unexpected algebraic roots of any such exponential polynomial. This implies a special case of Shapiro's conjecture: if p(x) and q(x) are two exponential polynomials with algebraic coefficients, each involving only one iteration of the exponential map, and they have common factors only of the form exp (g) for some exponential polynomial g, then p and q have only finitely many common zeros.  相似文献

In this Letter, by using the inequality method and the Lyapunov functional method, we analyze the globally exponential stability and the existence of periodic solutions of a class of cellular neutral networks with delays and variable coefficients. Some simple and new sufficient conditions ensuring the existence and uniqueness of globally exponential stability of periodic solutions for cellular neutral networks with variable coefficients and delays are obtained. In this paper we investigate the stability of linear singular systems of difference equations with variable coefficients by the projector-based approach. We study the preservation of uniform/exponential stability when the system coefficients are subject to allowable perturbations. A Bohl–Perron type theorem is obtained which provides a necessary and sufficient condition for the boundedness of solutions of nonhomogenous systems. The notion of Bohl exponent is introduced and we characterize the relation between the exponential stability and the Bohl exponent. Finally, robustness of the Bohl exponent with respect to allowable perturbations is investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the boundary stabilization of the wave equation with variable coefficients by Riemmannian geometry method subject to a different geometric condition which is motivated by the geometric multiplier identities. Several (multiplier) identities (inequalities) which have been built for constant wave equation by Kormornik and Zuazua are generalized to the variable coefficient case by some computational techniques in Riemmannian geometry, so that the precise estimates on the exponential decay rate are derived from those inequalitities. Also, the exponential decay for the solutions of semilinear wave equation with variable coefficients is obtained under natural growth and sign assumptions on the nonlinearity. Our method is rather general and can be adapted to other evolution systems with variable coefficients (e.g. elasticity plates) as well.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate discrete-time bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural networks with periodic coefficients and transmission delays. By using matrix measure, spectral theory, and contraction theory, some sufficient conditions are attained for the existence of a unique exponential periodic attractor. Finally, computer simulations illustrate the dynamic behavior of the unique exponential periodic attractor. Moreover, the unique exponential periodic attractor is also given precisely.
