Bifurcation of positive solutions to scalar reaction–diffusion equations with nonlinear boundary condition

The bifurcation of non-trivial steady state solutions of a scalar reaction–diffusion equation with nonlinear boundary conditions is considered using several new abstract bifurcation theorems. The existence and stability of positive steady state solutions are proved using a unified approach. The general results are applied to a Laplace equation with nonlinear boundary condition and bistable nonlinearity, and an elliptic equation with superlinear nonlinearity and sublinear boundary conditions.

该文考虑带非线性边界条件的非线性抛物方程的正整体解的存在性与非存在性。通过使用上下解技巧，得到了所有正解整体存在的充分必要条件。作者所构造的上下解具有相同的形式且计算简便。

研究带Riemann-Stieltjes积分边值条件的奇异三阶积分边值问题正解的全局分歧结构.首先,利用相关文献,获得了此类问题的格林函数并推证其满足的性质,同时可获得此类问题等价于一个全连续算子方程;其次,在满足所给的条件时,利用Krein-Rutmann定理建立了此类问题对应的线性问题存在简单的主特征值;最后,当非线性项在零和无穷远处满足非渐进线性增长条件、参数满足不同范围的值时,利用Dancer全局分歧定理、Zeidler全局分歧定理和序列集取极限的方法,建立了此类问题正解的全局结构,进而获得了正解的存在性.

Global bifurcation of solutions of the mean curvature spacelike equation in certain Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker spacetimes

We study the existence of spacelike graphs for the prescribed mean curvature equation in the Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker (FLRW) spacetime. By using a conformal change of variable, this problem is translated into an equivalent problem in the Lorentz–Minkowski spacetime. Then, by using Rabinowitz's global bifurcation method, we obtain the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for this equation with 0-Dirichlet boundary condition on a ball. Moreover, the global structure of the positive solution set is studied.     

Blow-up and global solutions for nonlinear reaction-diffusion equations with nonlinear boundary condition

This paper deals with the blow-up of positive solutions for a nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation subject to nonlinear boundary conditions. We obtain the conditions under which the solutions may exist globally or blow up in finite time. Moreover, an upper bound of the blow-up time, an upper estimate of the blow-up rate, and an upper estimate of the global solutions are given. At last we give two examples to which the theorems obtained in the paper may be applied.     

Unbounded connected component of the positive solution set of nonlinear operator equation and its applications

In this paper, by using global bifurcation theories we obtain some results for structure of positive solution set of some nonlinear equations with parameters. As a result, we obtain some existence results for positive solutions of the nonlinear operator equation. The main result can be applied to various of differential boundary value problems to obtain the existence results for positive solutions without the assumption that the nonlinearities are positone.     

非正非线性算子方程正解的存在性及其应用

首先使用全局分歧理论得到了含参数非线性算子方程解集无界连通分支存在的结果,然后根据算子的正连通性得到了一类非正非线性算子方程正解的存在结果.使用本文的主要结果在无需假设非线性项为正的条件下可以得到某些微分边值问题正解的存在结果.     

Global bifurcation results for semilinear elliptic boundary value problems with indefinite weights and nonlinear boundary conditions

We investigate the global nature of bifurcation components of positive solutions of a general class of semilinear elliptic boundary value problems with nonlinear boundary conditions and having linear terms with sign-changing coefficients. We first show that there exists a subcontinuum, i.e., a maximal closed and connected component, emanating from the line of trivial solutions at a simple principal eigenvalue of a linearized eigenvalue problem. We next consider sufficient conditions such that the subcontinuum is unbounded in some space for a semilinear elliptic problem arising from population dynamics. Our approach to establishing the existence of the subcontinuum is based on the global bifurcation theory proposed by López-Gómez. We also discuss an a priori bound of solutions and deduce from it some results on the multiplicity of positive solutions.     

Positive Solutions for a Competition Model with an Inhibitor Involved

In the paper, we study the positive solutions of a diffusive competition model with an inhibitor involved subject to the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. The existence, uniqueness, stability and multiplicity of positive solutions are discussed. This is mainly done by using the local and global bifurcation theory.     

Local and global Hopf bifurcation in a neutral population model with age structure

In this paper, an age‐structured population model with the form of neutral functional differential equation is studied. We discuss the stability of the positive equilibrium by analyzing the characteristic equation. Local Hopf bifurcation results are also obtained by choosing the mature delay as bifurcation parameter. On the center manifold, the normal form of the Hopf bifurcation is derived, and explicit formulae for determining the criticality of bifurcation are theoretically given. Moreover, the global continuation of Hopf bifurcating periodic solutions is investigated by using the global Hopf bifurcation theory of neutral equations. Finally, some numerical examples are carried out to support the main results.     

一类非线性波动方程弱解的存在唯一性

在考虑强阻尼效应的情形下,建立了一类轴向载荷作用下的波动方程.研究一类具有强阻尼的非线性波动方程的初边值问题的整体解的性态.以Sobolev空间的性质为工具,利用Faedo-Galerkin方法,证明了该方程在线性边界条件下弱解的存在唯一性,为力学中具有阻尼结构的振动问题的研究提供了重要依据.     

Positive solutions of semi-positone nonlinear operator equations in Banach spaces with lattice structure

By using global bifurcation theories we obtain an existence result for positive solutions of some nonlinear operator equations. The main result can be applied to various of differential boundary value problems to obtain the existence results for positive solutions.     

Bifurcation of an eco-epidemiological model with a nonlinear incidence rate

A predator-prey system with disease in the prey is considered. Assume that the incidence rate is nonlinear, we analyse the boundedness of solutions and local stability of equilibria, by using bifurcation methods and techniques, we study Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation near a boundary equilibrium, and obtain a saddle-node bifurcation curve, a Hopf bifurcation curve and a homoclinic bifurcation curve. The Hopf bifurcation and generalized Hopf bifurcation near the positive equilibrium is analyzed, one or two limit cycles is also discussed.     

Nonlinear Degenerate Parabolic Equation with Nonlinear Boundary Condition

In this paper, we obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions on the global existence of all positive （weak） solutions to a nonlinear degenerate parabolic equation with nonlinear boundary condition.     

计算立方体上Henon方程多个正解的分歧方法

本文首先应用分歧方法给出计算立方体上Henon方程边值问题D₄(3)对称正解的三种算法, 然后以Henon方程中的参数r为分歧参数, 在D₄(3)对称正解解枝上 用扩张系统方法求出对称破缺分歧点, 进而用解枝转接方法计算出其它具有不同对称性质的正解.     

计算圆域上p-Henon方程边值问题多个正解的分歧方法

首先应用分歧方法给出计算p-Henon方程边值问题O(2)对称正解的算法,然后以p-Henon方程中的参数l为分歧参数,在O(2)对称正解解枝上用扩张系统方法求出对称破缺分歧点,进而用解枝转接方法计算出其它具有不同对称性质的正解．     

On Positive Solutions for Semilinear Elliptic Equations with an Indefinite Nonlinearity Via Bifurcation

Existence of a positive solution was establsihed via bifurcation theory for sernilinear elliptic boundary value problems. With the aid of maximum principles and a priori estimates, global behavior of the bifurcation curve was obtained. In particular, a general sufficient condition was given for existence of multiple positive solutions when the nonlinearity is sub-critical and indefinite.     

Bifurcation of stable equilibria and nonlinear flux boundary condition with indefinite weight

We study bifurcation and stability of positive equilibria of a parabolic problem under a nonlinear Neumann boundary condition having a parameter and an indefinite weight. The main motivation is the selection migration problem involving two alleles and no gene flux acrossing the boundary, introduced by Fisher and Fleming, and Henry?s approach to the problem.Local and global structures of the set of equilibria are given. While the stability of constant equilibria is analyzed, the exponential stability of the unique bifurcating nonconstant equilibrium solution is established. Diagrams exhibiting the bifurcation and stability structures are also furnished. Moreover the asymptotic behavior of such solutions on the boundary of the domain, as the positive parameter goes to infinity, is also provided.The results are obtained via classical tools like the Implicit Function Theorem, bifurcation from a simple eigenvalue theorem and the exchange of stability principle, in a combination with variational and dynamical arguments.     

零点不可导时锥映射的歧点与正特征元的全局结构

研究了半序Banach空间中一类非线性锥映射歧点的存在性与正特征元的全局结构.与已知文献不同的是,不要求算子在零点沿着锥Frechet可微. 作为应用,讨论了一类椭圆型偏微分方程边值问题正解的歧点与全局结构.
