Metalfix Chelamine chelating resins of two different bead sizes (150-300 and 40-80 μm) were examined and compared regarding their application for sorption of Au, Ir, Pd, Pt, Rh and Ru ions from medium of HCl, HNO3 and mixtures of HCl and HNO3. The quantitative enrichment of Au, Ir, Pd and Pt was established for the resin of 150-300 μm particle size and for solutions acidified with HCl and HNO3 (3:1) up to the concentration of 0.50 mol l−1. In the case of Rh and Ru, the uptake of these metals by the resin was lower than 50%. For the elution, solutions of different reagents, i.e. HCl, HNO3, KCN, KI, KSCN and (NH2)2CS, were studied with respect to the complete release of the analytes retained by the resin. In addition, influence of various base metals, i.e. Al, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn, on the retention of the noble metals was investigated. Under the selected conditions for the retention and elution of Au, Ir, Pd and Pt, the analytical performance of the proposed pre-concentration procedure was evaluated and it was applied to the determination of these noble metals in anodic sludge sample.  相似文献

The reversible sorption preconcentration of noble metals (NMs) using different schemes “sorbent–reagent–eluent” was investigated. The extraction of Au, Pd, Pt, Ir, Rh and Ru chlorocomplexes from hydrochloric acid solutions on hyper-crosslinked polysterene MN-200 in the form of ion associates with tributylamine (TBA) and 4-(n-octyl)diethylenetriamine (ODETA) was investigated. It was found that Pd, Pt and Au were quantitatively and reversibly extracted using TBA on hyper-crosslinked polysterene; the appropriate eluent for desorption was 1 M solution of HCl in ethanol. Ir, Rh and Ru under these conditions were not sorbed quantitatively. It was found that sorbent hydrophobicity is not the main characteristic that defines the efficiency of sorption of a particular NM ion associate. Different efficiencies of hyper-crosslinked polysterene MN-200 for sorption of square-planar chlorcomplexes of Pt, Pd and Au and octahedral complexes of Ir, Rh and Ru were found. For the first time, the sorbents with their own N-atoms – StrataX and StrataX-AW – were used for the sorption of Ir, Rh and Ru. Using these sorbents, the sorption of Ir was increased up to 95%, and the sorption of Ru and Rh was increased to about 40%. We can explain these results by nonspecific interaction of chlorcomplexes of Ir, Rh and Ru with ethylenediamine groups of the sorbent. Weak bases with large anions may be applied for desorption of Ir, Rh and Ru. Two schemes of dynamic sorption preconcentration of NMs from hydrochloric acid solutions were proposed – hyper-crosslinked polysterene MN-200 for the determination of Au, Pd, Pt, and StrataX-AW for Ir, Rh and Ru.  相似文献

Here we proposed a synthetic method of high-purity Ag nanoplates by the reduction of aqueous Ag+ ions at the aqueous-organic interface with the reductant ferrocene. We demonstrated that the as-prepared Ag nanoplates can be widely tunable from 600 nm to 7 μm in size and from 10 to 35 nm in thickness, simply by adjusting the component of organic phase. To our knowledge, there are few methods to tailor the size and the thickness of metal nanoplates in such a large range although many efforts have been made aiming to realize it. Our proposed synthetic strategy is rapid, template-free, seed-less, and high-yield, and could be applied to synthesize analogous two-dimensional nanostructures of other noble metals, such as Pt, Au, and Pd.  相似文献

A new method for determination of trace gold (Au), palladium (Pd), and platinum (Pt) in environmental and geological samples by electrothermal vaporization (ETV)-inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) with the use of chelating resin YPA4 as both solid phase extractant and chemical modifier has been developed. The resin loaded with analytes was prepared to slurry and directly introduced into the graphite furnace without any pretreatment. The factors affecting the vaporization behaviors of Au, Pd, and Pt were investigated in detail. It was found that, in the presence of YPA4, Au and Pd could be quantitatively vaporized at lower vaporization temperature of 1900 °C. Compared with the conventional electrothermal vaporization, the vaporization temperature was decreased by 700 °C, and the detection limits for Au and Pd was decreased by a three-fold. However, a little effect of YPA4 on the ETV-ICP-AES determination of Pt was found. Under the optimized conditions, the detection limits (3σ) of Au, Pd, and Pt for this method are 75, 60, and 217 pg, respectively; and their relative standard deviations (R.S.D.) are 4.4, 5.6, and 3.7%, respectively (n=9, C=0.2 μg ml−1). The proposed method has been applied to the determination of trace Pd and Pt in sewage sludge, and the results well agreed with the recommended values. In order to further verify the accuracy of the developed method, a GBW07293 certified geological reference material and an auto catalyst NIST SRM 2557 reference material were analyzed, and the determined values coincided with the certified values very well.  相似文献

Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry coupled with ultrasonic slurry sampling electrothermal vaporization (USS-ETV-ICP-MS) has been applied to determine Pd, Rh, Pt and Au in 0.5% m/v slurries of several road dust samples. 2% m/v ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC) was used as the modifier to enhance the ion count. The influence of instrument operating conditions, slurry preparation and interferences on the ion count was reported. This method has been applied to the determination of Pd, Rh, Pt and Au in BCR 723 Road Dust and NIST SRM 2709 San Joaquin Soil reference materials and two road dust samples collected locally. The analysis results of the standard reference materials agreed with the certified values. Precision between sample replicates was better than 10% for all the determinations. The method detection limits estimated from standard addition curves were 0.9, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.4 ng g−1 for Pd, Rh, Pt and Au, respectively, in original dust samples.  相似文献

An ion-exchange procedure is proposed for determination of Pt and Pd in environmental samples, using a Dowex 1-X10 anion-exchange resin. Pt and Pd were separated from the matrix elements in the sample by selective retention on the column as anionic chloro complexes and subsequent elution by circulated thiourea at 60 °C. The eluent, containing Pt and Pd was analyzed by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) atomic emission spectrometry (AES). Average recoveries of 98% and detection limit of 15 ng/g for both metals were achieved. Analysis of Pt and Pd concentrations in road dust, sampled from several sites in Germany was performed. The comparison of the obtained data with the concentrations of Pt and Pd in the same samples, determined by ICP-MS showed a very good agreement.  相似文献

A novel organic reagent 3-(8-quinolinylazo)-4-hydroxybenzoic acid (QAHBA) was synthesized for chemically modified nanometer-sized alumina, and it was characterized with infrared spectrum and 1H NMR spectra. By using modified nanometer-sized alumina as micro-column packing material, a new method of flow injection (FI) on-line preconcentration coupled to ICP-OES was developed for simultaneous determination of trace metals (Ag, Pd, Au, Ga, In and Nb) in geological and environmental samples. The effects of pH, sample flow rate, sample volume, elution and interfering ions on the recovery of the analytes have been investigated. Under the optimized operating conditions, the adsorption capacity of the modified nanometer-sized alumina for Ag, Pd, Au, Ga, In and Nb were found to be 5.1, 7.6, 17.7, 15.6, 8.1 and 12.3 mg g−1, respectively. With 4 min preconcentration time and 24 s elution time, the enrichment factor was 10 and the sample frequency was 10 h−1. The detection limits of this method for Ag, Pd, Au, Ga, In and Nb were 0.12, 0.44, 0.27, 0.19, 0.54 and 0.18 μg l−1, respectively, while the R.S.D.s were 1.6, 2.3, 4.5, 1.6, 1.9 and 1.7% (n = 7, c = 50 ng ml−1), respectively. The proposed method has been applied to the determination of these trace metals in geological-certified reference materials and natural water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A simple and highly selective flow injection (FI) on-line preconcentration and separation flame atomic absorption spectrometric (FAAS) method was developed for the determinations of trace amounts of silver, gold and palladium. The selective preconcentration of the noble metals was achieved in a wide range of sample acidity (0.1-6 M HNO3 or HCl) on a microcolumn packed with amidinothioureido-silica gel (ATuSG). The analytes retained on the column were effectively eluted with 5.0% thiourea solution. The analytical procedure was optimized for sample acidity, elution, interferences, flow rate of sampling and eluting, and concentration of sample. Common co-existing cations and anions did not interfere with the preconcentration and determination of the three metals. At a sample loading flow rate of 4.5 ml min−1 with 60 s preconcentration, detection limits (3σ) of 1.1 ng ml−1 Ag, 13 ng ml−1 Au and 17 ng ml−1 Pd were obtained. The precisions (R.S.D., n=11) were 1.2% for Ag, 1.2% for Au and 1.7% for Pd, respectively. The detection limits can be further improved by increasing sample volume. The analytical results obtained by the proposed method for a number of standard reference materials were in good agreement with the certified values.  相似文献

A simple, rapid and cost effective preconcentration method is described for the determination of traces of gold (Au), silver (Ag) and palladium (Pd) in geological samples by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). The method is based on sorption of analytes (Au, Ag and Pd) on powdered activated carbon (AC) at pH 1 in hydrochloric acid (HCl) medium. The samples are decomposed by aqua regia — HCl treatment. The quantitative sorption (better than 92%) of analytes is obtained on AC (in absence of complexing agent), by simply manipulating optimal conditions. The unique feature of the method is, the analytes are recovered quantitatively from AC by oxidizing and completely solubilising the carbon using concentrated nitric acid (HNO3) and perchloric acid (HClO4) i.e. by wet ashing. The method of wet ashing has several advantages over conventional dry ashing. The accuracy of the method is evaluated by analysing, five Canada centre for mineral and energy technology (CANMET) standards; MA-3, MA-1b, FER-1, SU-1A, and CPB-1. In addition, ASK-3 and one inhouse standard, kolar gold field (KGF) samples was also analysed. As no standard for Pd is available, its accuracy was evaluated by standard addition method. The method was applied on numerous geological samples for the determination of Au, Ag and Pd down to 0.1 ppm (based on 10 g sample) within ±10% R.S.D. (n=5). The method could easily be adopted by any laboratory as the inputs are minimal (AC), inexpensive and easily available.  相似文献

The sorption of Au(III), Pd(II), Pt(IV), Rh(III), and Ir(IV) with the POLYORGS 4 complexing sorbent in the static mode was studied at room temperature and on thermal and microwave heating. It was demonstrated that the sorption of noble metals from 1 M HCl and 1 M HNO3 solutions can be substantially accelerated under the action of microwave irradiation. Based on the obtained data, the conditions of the group preconcentration of noble metals for their subsequent determination by the ETAAS and ICP AES methods were selected. The preconcentration procedure was used for the analysis of certified reference material SARM-7B (platinum-containing ore), VT-1 (copper-nickel sulfide ore), and the alloy of copper with noble metals.  相似文献

Gold, Au/Ag, Au/Pt and Au/Pd bimetallic nanoparticles with varying mol fractions were synthesized in ethylene glycol and glycerol, using the microwave technique in the presence of a stabilizer poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP). It was found that bimetallic colloids of Au/Ag, Au/Pd and Au/Pt form an alloy either on co-reduction of respective metal ions or on mixing individual sols.  相似文献

The treatment of Ag, Pd, Au and Pt electrodes with OH radicals can be used to get information on the nature of the electrocatalytic sites. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurements, various electrochemical techniques, and chemical solution analysis show a more or less effective surface dissolution of these metals upon OH treatment. The effect of the surface alterations on the electrocatalytic activity with respect to the quinone/hydroquinone system revealed distinct differences between Ag and Au (previous studies) on one side, and Pt and Pd on the other side. Whereas, in case of Pt and Pd, the electrocatalytic properties are obviously related to the regular surface atoms, in case of Ag and Au the active centers are highly reactive surface atoms which can be removed by OH radicals.  相似文献

A flow solid phase extraction procedure based on biosorption of Pt(IV) and Pd(II) on Aspergillus sp. immobilized on cellulose resin Cellex-T was proposed for the separation and preconcentration of Pt and Pd before their determination by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS). The analytical conditions including sample pH, eluent type, flow rates of sample and eluent solutions were examined. The analytes were selectively retained on the biosorbent in acidic medium (pH 1) and subsequently eluted from the column with 1 mL of thiourea solution (0.25 mol L− 1 thiourea in 0.3 mol L− 1 HCl). The reproducibility of the procedure was below 5%. The limit of detection of the method was 0.020 ng mL− 1 for Pt and 0.012 ng mL− 1 for Pd. The method validation was performed by analysis of certified reference materials BCR-723 (tunnel dust) and SARM-76 (platinum ore). The developed separation procedure was applied to the determination of Pt and Pd in road dust samples by ETAAS.The applied biosorbent is characterized by high sorption capacity: 0.47 mg g− 1 for Pt and 1.24 mg g− 1 for Pd.  相似文献

Monomeric and polymeric organosilicon derivatives of 1-acetylguanidine, which exhibits sorption properties, were synthesized. The organosilicon polymers prepared were studied as sorbents for heavy [Hg(II)] and noble [Ag(I), Au(III), Rh(III), Pd(II), Pt(IV)] metals. They actively take up platinum group metals and exhibit metallochromic properties by analogy with the starting compound, 1-acetylguanidine. Their interaction with all the elements studied is accompanied by coloration. The initial monomers exhibit similar metallochromic properties.  相似文献

A novel method for inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) determination of trace amounts of Pt(II), Pd(II) and Rh(III), based on gaseous compounds introduction into the plasma as their diethyldithiocarbamate complexes by electrothermal vaporization (ETV), was developed. At the temperature of 1100 °C, the trace amounts of Pt, Pd and Rh were vaporized into plasma. The factors affecting the formation of the chelates and their vaporization behaviors, such as ashing temperature and time, vaporization temperature and time, pH and the concentration of chelating reagents were studied in detail. Under the optimized conditions, the limits of detection (LODs) (3σ) of Pt, Pd and Rh for tested solutions were 5.4, 1.4 and 0.8 ng ml−1, and for actual sample (auto-catalyst NIST SRM 2557) were 0.27, 0.07 and 0.04 μg g−1, respectively. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) for Pt, Pd and Rh were 1.4, 2.6 and 2.4% (CPt=0.5 μg ml−1, CPd,Rh=0.25 μg ml−1, n=7), respectively. The linear ranges of calibration graphs for Pt, Pd and Rh cover three orders of magnitude. Compared with conventional electrothermal vaporization technique, using the reagent of diethyldithiocarbamate as chemical modifier could not only enhance the analytical sensitivities, but also reduce the vaporization temperature. By combination with a separation/preconcentration step, the proposed method had been successfully applied to the analysis of the artificial seawater, tap water and urine with recoveries ranging from 91 to 106%. The two certified reference material meager platinpalladium ore GBW 07293 and auto-catalyst NIST SRM 2557 was also analyzed for validation, and the determined values obtained were in good agreement with the certified values.  相似文献

Conditions of the sorption preconcentration of Pt, Pd, Au, Ag, and Hg as colored complexes of azorhodanines, tyrodine, and sulfonitrophenol M from acidic solutions (pH 0–2) on a polyamide membrane in the flow mode are determined. At a flow rate of 10–20 mL/min, concentrations of determined elements of 10-9-10-7 M, and pressure of 10–20 mm Hg, the complexes are nearly quantitatively sorbed on a polyamide membrane disk (d = 1 cm,m = 2.7 mg, andl = 0.1 mm). The influence of the composition of the test solutions on the formation of the analytical signal in the solid phase is studied. Rapid sorption-spectrometric procedures are developed for the determination of Pt, Pd, Au, Ag, and Hg with the detection limit 5–30 ng of the element in the sorbent zone  相似文献

Though not regulated in directives such as the Water Framework Directive of the European Union, the investigation of geogenic background concentrations of certain elements such as precious metals is of increasing interest, in particular for the early detection of a potential environmental pollution due to the increased use in various industrial and technological applications and in medicine. However, the precise and accurate quantification of precious metals in natural waters is challenging due to the complex matrices and the ultra-low concentrations in the (sub-) ng L−1 range. A methodological approach, based on matrix separation and pre-concentration on the strong anion exchange resin TEVA® Resin in an online mode directly coupled to ICP-SFMS, has been developed for the determination of Ag, Pt, Pd and Au in ground water. Membrane desolvation sample introduction was used to reduce oxide-based spectral interferences, which complicate the quantification of these metals with high accuracy. To overcome errors arising from matrix effects—in particular, the highly varying major ion composition of the investigated ground water samples—an isotope dilution analysis and quantification based on standard additions, respectively, were performed. The method allowed to process four samples per hour in a fully automated mode. With a sample volume of only 8 mL, enrichment factors of 6–9 could be achieved, yielding detection limits <1 ng L−1. Validation of the trueness was performed based on the reference samples. This method has been used for the analysis of the total concentrations of Ag, Pt, Pd and Au in highly mineralized ground waters collected from springs located in important geological fault zones of Austria’s territory. Concentrations ranges of 0.21–64.2 ng L−1 for Ag, 0.65–6.26 ng L−1 for Pd, 0.07–1.55 ng L−1 for Pt and 0.26–1.95 ng L−1 for Au were found.  相似文献

Silica gel was firstly functionalised with aminopropyltrimethoxysilane obtaining the aminopropylsilica gel (APSG). The APSG was reacted subsequently with morin yielding morin-bonded silica gel (morin-APSG). The structure was investigated and confirmed by elemental and thermogravimetric analyses, IR and (13)C NMR spectral studies. Morin-APSG was found to be highly stable in common organic solvents, acidic medium (<2molL(-1) HCl, HNO(3)) or alkaline medium up to pH 8. The separation and preconcentration of Ag(I), Au(III), Pd(II), Pt(II) and Rh(III) from aqueous medium using morin-APSG was studied. The optimum pH values for the separation of Ag(I), Au(III), Pd(II), Pt(II) and Rh(III) on the sorbent are 5.7, 2.2, 3.7, 3.7 and 6.8, giving rise to separation efficiencies of 43.9, 85.9, 97.7, 60.9 and 91.0%, respectively, where the activity was found to be >90% in the presence of acetate ion. The ion sorption capacity of morin-APSG towards Cu(II) at pH 5.5 was found to be 0.249mmolg(-1) where the sorption capacities of Ag(I) and Pd(II) were 0.087 and 0.121mmolg(-1) and 0.222 and 0.241mmolg(-1) at pH 2.2 and 5.7, respectively. This indicates a 1:1 and 1:2 morin/metal ratios at pH 2.2 and 5.7, respectively. Complete elution of the sorbed metal ions was carried out using 10mL (0.5molL(-1) HCl+0.01molL(-1) thiourea) in case of Au(III), Pd(II), Pt(II) and Rh(III) and 10mL 0.5molL(-1) HNO(3) in case of Ag(I). Morin-APSG was successfully employed in the separation and preconcentration of the investigated precious metal ions from some spiking water samples yielding 100-folds concentration factor. The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) and the T-test (|t|(1)) were calculated.  相似文献
