We analyse almost periodic homogeneous linear difference systems whose coefficient matrices belong to the so-called transformable groups. We introduce the notion of weakly transformable groups and we use this notion to obtain generalizations of known results about non-almost periodic solutions of considered systems.  相似文献

We analyse the solution spaces of limit periodic homogeneous linear difference systems, where the coefficient matrices of the considered systems are taken from a commutative group which does not need to be bounded. In particular, we study such systems whose fundamental matrices are not asymptotically almost periodic or which have solutions vanishing at infinity. We identify a simple condition on the matrix group which guarantees that the studied systems form a dense subset in the space of all considered systems. The obtained results improve previously known theorems about non-almost periodic and non-asymptotically almost periodic solutions. Note that the elements of the coefficient matrices are taken from an infinite field with an absolute value and that the corresponding almost periodic case is treated as well.  相似文献

Vector-valued pseudo almost periodic functions are defined and their properties are investigated. The vector-valued functions contain many known functions as special cases. A unique decomposition theorem is given to show that a vector-valued pseudo almost periodic function is a sum of an almost periodic function and an ergodic perturbation.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the study of quasi-periodic properties of fractional order integrals and derivatives of periodic functions. Considering Riemann–Liouville and Caputo definitions, we discuss when the fractional derivative and when the fractional integral of a certain class of periodic functions satisfies particular properties. We study concepts close to the well known idea of periodic function, such as S-asymptotically periodic, asymptotically periodic or almost periodic function. Boundedness of fractional derivative and fractional integral of a periodic function is also studied.  相似文献

The problem is considered of finding a control strategy for a linear discrete-time periodic system with state and control bounds in the presence of unknown disturbances that are only known to belong to a given compact set. This kind of problem arises in practice in resource distribution systems where the demand has typically a periodic behavior, but cannot be estimated a priori without an uncertainty margin. An infinite-horizon keeping problem is formulated, which consists in confining the state within its constraint set using the allowable control, whatever the allowed disturbances may be. To face this problem, the concepts of periodically invariant set and sequence are introduced. They are used to formulate a solution strategy that solves the keeping problem. For the case of polyhedral state, control, and disturbance constraints, a computationally feasible procedure is proposed. In particular, it is shown that periodically invariant sequences may be computed off-line, and then they may be used to synthesize on-line a control strategy. Finally, an optimization criterion for the control law is discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, we give a definition of pseudo almost periodic sequence and study the existence of pseudo almost periodic sequence to difference equation. Based on these, we investigate the existence of pseudo almost periodic solutions to differential equations with piecewise constant arguments which was considered by K. L. Cooke & J. We show that there exists a real homogeneous differential equation of order with classical almost periodic coefficients such that all solutions are uniformly bounded on the real line yet no non-trivial solution is almost periodic. This now appears to make the search for a Floquet theory of such equations a futile enterprise.

This paper is to investigate the asymptotic dynamics in almost periodic cooperative systems with a first integral. By appealing to the theory of skew-product semiflows we establish the asymptotic almost periodicity of bounded solutions to such systems, which extends the existing convergence results for time independent and periodic cooperative systems with a first integral and proves a conjecture of B. Tang, Y. Kuang and H. Smith in SIAM J. Math. Anal., 24 (1993), 1331-1339.

We establish the basic theory of almost periodic sequences on ?+. Dichotomy techniques are then utilized to find sufficient conditions for the existence of a globally attracting almost periodic solution of a semilinear system of difference equations. These existence results are, subsequently, applied to discretely reproducing populations with and without overlapping generations. In this paper we survey recent results on the decay of periodic and almost periodic solutions of conservation laws. We also recall some recent results on the global existence of periodic solutions of conservation laws systems which lie inBV loc and are constructed through Glimm scheme. The latter motivates a discussion on a possible strategy for solving the open problem of the global existence of periodic solutions of the Euler equations for nonisentropic gas dynamics. We base our decay analysis on a general result about space-time functions which are almost periodic in the space variable, established here for the first time. This result is an abstract version of Theorem 2.1 in [31], which in turn is an extention of the combined result given by Theorems 3.1–3.2 in [9].  相似文献

The paper considers the existence and uniqueness of pseudo almost periodic (mild) solutions to some classes of first-order partial neutral functional-differential equations. Upon making some suitable assumptions, existence and uniqueness results are obtained. Applications include both a partial integro-differential equation arising in control systems and the scalar reaction-diffusion equation with delay.  相似文献
