Polynomial n × n matrices A(x) and B(x) over a field \mathbbF \mathbb{F} are called semiscalar equivalent if there exist a nonsingular n × n matrix P over \mathbbF \mathbb{F} and an invertible n × n matrix Q(x) over \mathbbF \mathbb{F} [x] such that A(x) = PB(x)Q(x). We give a canonical form with respect to semiscalar equivalence for a matrix pencil A(x) = A 0x - A 1, where A 0 and A 1 are n × n matrices over \mathbbF \mathbb{F} , and A 0 is nonsingular.  相似文献

LetM n(F) denote the algebra ofn-square matrices with elements in a fieldF. In this paper we show that ifMM n(F) has zero trace thenM=AB−BA for certainA, B ∈ M n(F), withA nilpotent and traceB=0, apart from some exceptional cases whenn=2 or 3. We also determine whenM=MB−BM for someB ∈ M n(F). The preparation of this paper was supported in part by the U.S. Air Force under contract AFOSR 698-65.  相似文献

Let R be a ring, A = M n (R) and θ: AA a surjective additive map preserving zero Jordan products, i.e. if x,yA are such that xy + yx = 0, then θ(x)θ(y) + θ(y)θ(x) = 0. In this paper, we show that if R contains \frac12\frac{1}{2} and n ≥ 4, then θ = λϕ, where λ = θ(1) is a central element of A and ϕ: AA is a Jordan homomorphism.  相似文献

For a transitive Lie algebroid A on a connected manifold M and its representation on a vector bundle F, we define a morphism of cohomology groups rk: Hk(A,F) → Hk(Lx,Fx), called the localization map, where Lx is the adjoint algebra at x ∈ M. The main result in this paper is that if M is simply connected, or H (LX,FX) is trivial, then T is injective. This means that the Lie algebroid 1-cohomology is totally determined by the 1-cohomology of its adjoint Lie algebra in the above two cases.  相似文献

Let F be a free Lie algebra of rank n ≥ 2 and A be a free abelian Lie algebra of rank m ≥ 2. We prove that the test rank of the abelian product F ×A is m. Morever we compute the test rank of the algebra F/gk( F) F/\gamma _{k}\left( F\right) ^{^{\prime }}.  相似文献

An (n, d, k)-mapping f is a mapping from binary vectors of length n to permutations of length n + k such that for all x, y {0,1}n, dH (f(x), f(y)) ≥ dH (x, y) + d, if dH (x, y) ≤ (n + k) − d and dH (f(x), f(y)) = n + k, if dH (x, y) > (n + k) − d. In this paper, we construct an (n,3,2)-mapping for any positive integer n ≥ 6. An (n, r)-permutation array is a permutation array of length n and any two permutations of which have Hamming distance at least r. Let P(n, r) denote the maximum size of an (n, r)-permutation array and A(n, r) denote the same setting for binary codes. Applying (n,3,2)-mappings to the design of permutation array, we can construct an efficient permutation array (easy to encode and decode) with better code rate than previous results [Chang (2005). IEEE Trans inf theory 51:359–365, Chang et al. (2003). IEEE Trans Inf Theory 49:1054–1059; Huang et al. (submitted)]. More precisely, we obtain that, for n ≥ 8, P(n, r) ≥ A(n − 2, r − 3) > A(n − 1,r − 2) = A(n, r − 1) when n is even and P(n, r) ≥ A(n − 2, r − 3) = A(n − 1, r − 2) > A(n, r − 1) when n is odd. This improves the best bound A(n − 1,r − 2) so far [Huang et al. (submitted)] for n ≥ 8. In this paper we describe completely the involutions of the first kind of the algebra UTn(F) of n×n upper triangular matrices. Every such involution can be extended uniquely to an involution on the full matrix algebra. We describe the equivalence classes of involutions on the upper triangular matrices. There are two distinct classes for UTn(F) when n is even and a single class in the odd case.Furthermore we consider the algebra UT2(F) of the 2×2 upper triangular matrices over an infinite field F of characteristic different from 2. For every involution *, we describe the *-polynomial identities for this algebra. We exhibit bases of the corresponding ideals of identities with involution, and compute the Hilbert (or Poincaré) series and the codimension sequences of the respective relatively free algebras. Then we consider the *-polynomial identities for the algebra UT3(F) over a field of characteristic zero. We describe a finite generating set of the ideal of *-identities for this algebra. These generators are quite a few, and their degrees are relatively large. It seems to us that the problem of describing the *-identities for the algebra UTn(F) of the n×n upper triangular matrices may be much more complicated than in the case of ordinary polynomial identities.  相似文献

We solve independently the equations 1/θ(x)θ(y)=ψ(x)−ψ(y)+φ(xy)/θ(xy) and 1/θ(x)θ(y)=σ(x)−σ(y)/θ(xy)+τ(x)τ(y), τ(0)=0. In both cases we find θ2=aθ4+bθ2+c. We deduce estimates for the spectral radius of a matrix of type(1/θ(x r x s )) (the accent meaning that the coefficients of the main diagonal are zero) and we study the case where thex r are equidistant.

Let G=(I n ,E) be the graph of the n-dimensional cube. Namely, I n ={0,1} n and [x,y]∈E whenever ||xy||1=1. For AI n and xA define h A (x) =#{yI n A|[x,y]∈E}, i.e., the number of vertices adjacent to x outside of A. Talagrand, following Margulis, proves that for every set AI n of size 2 n−1 we have for a universal constant K independent of n. We prove a related lower bound for graphs: Let G=(V,E) be a graph with . Then , where d(x) is the degree of x. Equality occurs for the clique on k vertices. The Frattini Subalgebra of Restricted Lie Superalgebras   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6
In the present paper, we study the Frattini subalgebra of a restricted Lie superalgebra (L, [p]). We show first that if L = A1 + A2 +… +An, then Фp(L) = Фp(A1) +Фp(A2) +…+Фp(An), where each Ai is a p-ideal of L. We then obtain two results: F(L) = Ф(L) = J(L) = L if and only if L is nilpotent; Fp(L) and F(L) are nilpotent ideals of L if L is solvable. In addition, necessary and sufficient conditions are found for Фp-free restricted Lie superalgebras. Finally, we discuss the relationships of E-p-restricted Lie superalgebras and E-restricted Lie superalgebras.  相似文献

Let M be a full Hilbert C*-module over a C*-algebra A,and let End*A(M) be the algebra of adjointable operators on M.We show that if A is unital and commutative, then every derivation of End A(M) is an inner derivation, and that if A is σ-unital and commutative, then innerness of derivations on "compact" operators completely decides innerness of derivations on End*A(M).If A is unital(no commutativity is assumed) such that every derivation of A is inner, then it is proved that every derivation of End*A(Ln(A)) is also inner, where Ln(A) denotes the direct sum of n copies of A.In addition,in case A is unital, commutative and there exist x0,y0 ∈ M such that x0,y0 = 1,we characterize the linear A-module homomorphisms on End*A(M) which behave like derivations when acting on zero products.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Let n≥1 be a fixed integer, R a prime ring with its right Martindale quotient ring Q, C the extended centroid, and L a non-central Lie ideal of R. If F is a generalized skew derivation of R such that (F(x)F(y)?yx)n = 0 for all x,yL, then char(R) = 2 and R?M2(C), the ring of 2×2 matrices over C.  相似文献

We propose an algorithm for the evaluation of elements of the kernel of an arbitrary derivation of a polynomial ring. The algorithm is based on an analog of the well-known Casimir element of a finite-dimensional Lie algebra. By using this algorithm, we compute the kernels of Weitzenb?ck derivation d(x i ) = x i−1, d(x 0) = 0, i = 0,…, n, for the cases where n ≤ 6.  相似文献

Let Mn(F) be the algebra of n×n matrices over a field F, and let AMn(F) have characteristic polynomial c(x)=p1(x)p2(x)?pr(x) where p1(x),…,pr(x) are distinct and irreducible in F[x]. Let X be a subalgebra of Mn(F) containing A. Under a mild hypothesis on the pi(x), we find a necessary and sufficient condition for X to be Mn(F).  相似文献

Let (R, m) be a commutative Noetherian local ring with non-zero identity, a a proper ideal of R and M a finitely generated R-module with aMM. Let D(−) ≔ Hom R (−, E) be the Matlis dual functor, where EE(R/m) is the injective hull of the residue field R/m. In this paper, by using a complex which involves modules of generalized fractions, we show that, if x 1, …, x n is a regular sequence on M contained in α, then H (x1, …,xnR n D(H a n (M))) is a homomorphic image of D(M), where H b i (−) is the i-th local cohomology functor with respect to an ideal b of R. By applying this result, we study some conditions on a certain module of generalized fractions under which D(H (x1, …,xn)R n (D(H a n (M)))) ⋟ D(D(M)).  相似文献
