MBIUS INVARIANT GRADIENT AND LITTLE α-BLOCH FUNCTIONS

In this paper, the authors get the characterizations of the integral and Car-leson type measure both associated with the invariant gradient for little a-Bloch functions in the unit ball of Cn. As a consequence, some results of Ouyang C H, Yang W S and Zhao R H in [4] and a result of Yang W S in [10] are extended.

On 2-Microlocal Herz Type Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin Spaces with Variable Exponents

In this paper, 2-microlocal Herz type Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces with variable exponents are introduced for the first time. Then, we give characterizations of these spaces by so-called Peetre's maximal functions. Further, the atomic and molecular decompositions of these spaces are obtained. Finally, using the characterizations of the spaces by local means and molecular decomposition we obtain the wavelet characterizations.

Commutators of maximal functions on spaces of homogeneous type and their weighted,local versions

We obtain the characterizations of commutators of several versions of maximal functions on spaces of homogeneous type. In addition, with the aid of interpolation theory, we provide weighted version of the commutator theorems by establishing new characterizations of the weighted BMO space. Finally, a concrete example shows that the local version of commutators also has an independent interest.     

Uniform Approximation of Entire Functions of Slow Growth on Compact Sets

In the present paper, we study the polynomial approximation of entire functions of several complex variables. The characterizations of generalized order and generalized type of entire functions of slow growth are obtained in terms of approximation and interpolation errors.

Some Remarks on Borel Type Ideals

We give new equivalent characterizations for ideals of Borel type. Also, we prove that the regularity of a product of ideals of Borel type is bounded by the sum of the regularities of those ideals.     

Schatten-Herz type positive Toeplitz operators on pluriharmonic Bergman spaces

Recently, Schatten-Herz type Toeplitz operators have been studied on the Bergman spaces and the harmonic Bergman spaces. Motivated these results, we study characterizations of positive Toeplitz operators of Schatten-Herz type in terms of averaging functions and Berezin transforms of symbol functions on the ball of pluriharmonic Bergman spaces.

New characterizations of Hajlasz-Sobolev spaces on metric spaces

This paper introduces the fractional Sobolev spaces on spaces of homogeneous type,includingmetric spaces and fractals. These Sobolev spaces include the well-known Hajfasz-Sobolev spaces as specialmodels.The author establishes varions chaaracterizations of(sharp)maximal functions for these spaces.Asapplications,the author identifies the fractional Sobolev spaces with some Lipscitz-type spaces.Moreover;some embedding theorems are also given.     

Weakly Pseudocompact Frames

We define the notion of weak pseudocompactness for frames and present several characterizations. Among them are characterizations in terms of strong inclusions, uniformities and cozero bases. Noteworthy is the fact that these internal characterizations are not translated from characterizations of weakly pseudocompact spaces.      

On approximation and generalized type of analytic functions of several complex variables

In the present paper, we study the polynomial approximation of analytic functions of several complex variables. The characterizations of generalized type of analytic functions of several complex variables have been obtained in terms of approximation and interpolation errors.

Second-order invex functions in nonlinear programming

We introduce a notion of a second-order invex function. A Fréchet differentiable invex function without any further assumptions is second-order invex. It is shown that the inverse claim does not hold. A Fréchet differentiable function is second-order invex if and only if each second-order stationary point is a global minimizer. Two complete characterizations of these functions are derived. It is proved that a quasiconvex function is second-order invex if and only if it is second-order pseudoconvex. Further, we study the nonlinear programming problem with inequality constraints whose objective function is second-order invex. We introduce a notion of second-order type I objective and constraint functions. This class of problems strictly includes the type I invex ones. Then we extend a lot of sufficient optimality conditions with generalized convex functions to problems with second-order type I invex objective function and constraints. Additional optimality results, which concern type I and second-order type I invex data are obtained. An answer to the question when a kernel, which is not identically equal to zero, exists is given.     

Levitin–Polyak well-posedness of constrained vector optimization problems

In this paper, we consider Levitin–Polyak type well-posedness for a general constrained vector optimization problem. We introduce several types of (generalized) Levitin–Polyak well-posednesses. Criteria and characterizations for these types of well-posednesses are given. Relations among these types of well-posedness are investigated. Finally, we consider convergence of a class of penalty methods under the assumption of a type of generalized Levitin–Polyak well-posedness.     

Some new characterizations on spaces of functions with bounded mean oscillation

Let X be a space of homogeneous type. The authors introduce some generalized approximations to the identity (for short, GAI) with optimal decay conditions in the sense that these conditions are the sufficient and necessary conditions for these GAI's to characterize BMO(X), the space of functions with bounded mean oscillation on X. The authors also obtain a new John‐Nirenberg‐type inequality associated with GAI's, which leads some new characterizations of BMO(X) in terms of rearrangement functions, and certain maximal functions related to GAI's. Some variants of these characterizations for BMO‐type spaces on X of Duong and Yan are also established. Moreover, the equivalence between BMO and the space of BMO type on Ahlfors n ‐regular quasimetric measure spaces is obtained, which confirms an assertion of Duong and Yan (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)     

Nash Inequalities for Markov Processes in Dimension One

In this paper, we give characterizations of Nash inequalities for birth-death process and diffusion process on the line. As a by-product, we prove that for these processes, transience implies that the semigroups P(t) decay as ∥P(t)∥_1→∞≥Ct ₋₁. Sufficient conditions for general Markov chains are also obtained. Total nonpositivity of nonsingular matrices

In this paper, nonsingular totally nonpositive matrices are studied and new characterizations are provided in terms of the signs of minors with consecutive initial rows or consecutive initial columns. These characterizations extend an existing characterization that uses some restrictive hypotheses.
