In this paper, a class of evolution equations which have special boundary conditions is discussed. The spectrum properties of an operator which is associated with this class of equations arc provided, and the existence and uniqueness of solutions of this class of equations is proved by the theory of pertu rbation of C_0-semigroups. In the last part of this paper, a condition which ensures the solutions to be non-negative is given. Some results of the time-independent population systems in [1-5] are our examples.  相似文献

Recently, M. N. O?uztöreli presented certain results on the existence and uniqueness of solutions of systems governed by a linear integro-partial differential equation of parabolic type with delayed arguments. Since his results admit only smooth coefficients, they could not be used directly in the study of the optimal control problems with bounded measurable control variables appearing in the coefficients of the system equations. In this paper, we consider a class of systems described by second-order quasilinear parabolic integro-partial differential equations with all but the second-order coefficients assumed bounded measurable. Our principal results are: Theorem 3.5, which establishes the existence and uniqueness of solutions of this class of systems (with controls in the coefficients), and Theorem 4.4, which gives a necessary condition for optimality for the corresponding controlled system.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the local existence and uniqueness of classical solutions to a wide class of systems of chemotaxis equations. These systems are essentially quasi-linear strongly coupled partial differential equations. We also study the maximal interval of existence in time of solutions. The results are illustrated in application to a number of partial differential equation models arising in biology.  相似文献

The aims of this paper are to discuss global existence and uniqueness of strong solution for a class of isentropic compressible navier-Stokes equations with non-Newtonian in one-dimensional bounded intervals. We prove two global existence results on strong solutions of isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equations. The first result shows only the existence. In this paper, we consider a class of systems governed by time-delayed, second-order, linear, parabolic partial differential equations with first boundary conditions. The existence and uniqueness of solutions of this class of systems are established in Theorem 3.2. A necessary condition for optimality for the corresponding controlled system is presented in Theorem 5.1. The aim of this paper is to prove the existence and uniqueness of local solutions of some initial boundary value problems for the Euler equations of an incompressible fluid in a bounded domain Ω ? R 2 with corners. We consider two cases of a nonvanishing normal component of velocity on the boundary. In three-dimensional case such problems have been considered in papers [12], [13], [14]. Similar problems in domains without corners have been considered in [2]–[6], [11]. In this paper the relation between the maximal corner angle of the boundary and the smoothness of the solutions is shown. The paper consists of four sections. In section 1 two initial boundary value problems for the Euler equations are formulated. In section 2 the existence and uniqueness of solutions of the Laplace equation in twodimensional domain with corners for the Dirichlet and Neumann problems is proved in the Sobolev spaces. In sections 3 and 4 we prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions of problems formulated in section 1, using the method of successive approximations.  相似文献

In this paper a linearly perturbed version of the well-known matrix Riccati equations which arise in certain stochastic optimal control problems is studied. Via the concepts of mean square stabilizability and mean square detectability we improve previous results on both the convergence properties of the linearly perturbed Riccati differential equation and the solutions of the linearly perturbed algebraic Riccati equation. Furthermore, our approach unifies, in some way, the study for this class of Riccati equations with the one for classical theory, by eliminating a certain inconvenient assumption used in previous works (e.g., [10] and [26]). The results are derived under relatively weaker assumptions and include, inter alia, the following: (a) An extension of Theorem 4.1 of [26] to handle systems not necessarily observable. (b) The existence of a strong solution, subject only to the mean square stabilizability assumption. (c) Conditions for the existence and uniqueness of stabilizing solutions for systems not necessarily detectable. (d) Conditions for the existence and uniqueness of mean square stabilizing solutions instead of just stabilizing. (e) Relaxing the assumptions for convergence of the solution of the linearly perturbed Riccati differential equation and deriving new convergence results for systems not necessarily observable. Various applications are also considered to illustrate our obtained results (existence of solutions to quadratic integral equations with a linear modification of the argument, positive solution of second-order Neumann boundary value problem, and positive definite solutions of a class of nonlinear matrix equations).  相似文献
