The purpose of this paper is to prove by using a new hybrid method a strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of the set of solutions for a generalized equilibrium problem, the set of solutions for a variational inequality problem and the set of common fixed points for a pair of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. As applications, we utilize our results to obtain some new results for finding a solution of an equilibrium problem, a fixed point problem and a common zero-point problem for maximal monotone mappings in Banach spaces.  相似文献

一个实矩阵的符号稳定性问题在经济学、生态学等诸多领域中都有应用背景.本文利用[1]中给出的不可约矩阵的符号稳定性的有关结论,将一个实矩阵的符号稳定性判定问题转化为一个等价的图论问题,即判定无向树中一个点子集的稳定性问题.本文引入了树的稳定子集的概念并给出了稳定子集的递归判别方法.本文还提出井研究了树的稳定指标,即树中所有稳定子集的最小基数,证明了关于稳定指标的一个min—max型定理,井给出了n阶树的稳定指标的最好上界及达到上界的极树的完全刻划。  相似文献

This paper deals with a hierarchical control problem for the Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation following a Stackelberg–Nash strategy. We assume that there is a main control, called the leader, and two secondary controls, called the followers. The leader tries to drive the solution to a prescribed target and the followers intend to be a Nash equilibrium for given functionals. It is known that this problem is equivalent to a null controllability result for an optimality system consisting of three non-linear equations. One of the novelties is a new Carleman estimate for a fourth-order equation with right-hand sides in Sobolev spaces of negative order, which allows to relax some geometric conditions for the observation sets for the followers.  相似文献

We are generally concerned with the possible lists of multiplicities for the eigenvalues of a real symmetric matrix with a given graph. Many restrictions are known, but it is often problematic to construct a matrix with desired multiplicities, even if a matrix with such multiplicities exists. Here, we develop a technique for construction using the implicit function theorem in a certain way. We show that the technique works for a large variety of trees, give examples and determine all possible multiplicities for a large class of trees for which this was not previously known.  相似文献

In this research, a two-stage batch production–inventory system is introduced. In this system, the production may be disrupted, for a given period of time, either at one or both stages. In this paper, firstly, a mathematical model has been developed to suggest a recovery plan for a single occurrence of disruption at either stage. Secondly, multiple disruptions have been considered, for which a new disruption may or may not affect the recovery plan of earlier disruptions. We propose a new approach that deals with a series of disruptions over a period of time, which can be implemented for disruption recovery on a real time basis. In this approach, the model formulated for single disruption has been integrated to generate initial solutions for individual disruptions and the solutions have been revised for multiple dependent disruptions with changed parameters. With the proposed approach, an optimal recovery plan can be obtained in real time, whenever the production system experiences either a sudden disruption or a series of disruptions, at different points in time. Some numerical examples and a real-world case study are presented to explain the benefits of our proposed approach.  相似文献

A model is developed for the flow of a slightly compressible fluid through a saturated inelastic porous medium. The initial‐boundary‐value problem is a system that consists of the diffusion equation for the fluid coupled to the momentum equation for the porous solid together with a constitutive law which includes a possibly hysteretic relation of elasto‐visco‐plastic type. The variational form of this problem in Hilbert space is a non‐linear evolution equation for which the existence and uniqueness of a global strong solution is proved by means of monotonicity methods. Various degenerate situations are permitted, such as incompressible fluid, negligible porosity, or a quasi‐static momentum equation. The essential sufficient conditions for the well‐posedness of the system consist of an ellipticity condition on the term for diffusion of fluid and either a viscous or a hardening assumption in the constitutive relation for the porous solid. This article concerns optimal control and stabilization for some Fisher-like models with control acting in a subdomain ω. We investigate the optimal position of ω for some optimal harvesting problems. First, we refer to a logistic model with diffusion. We remember the necessary optimality conditions, and then obtain an iterative method to improve the position of ω for the optimal harvesting effort (for a simplified model without logistic term). Next, we consider the null stabilization for a controlled Fisher model and obtain a descent method to improve the position of ω in order to get a faster stabilization to zero. Numerical tests illustrating the effect of the last method are given. We also studied the null stabilization for a prey-predator system and have reduced it to the study of the null stabilizability for a related Fisher model.  相似文献

This paper presents a new model for project portfolio selection, paying specific attention to competence development. The model seeks to maximize a weighted average of economic gains from projects and strategic gains from the increment of desirable competencies. As a sub-problem, scheduling and staff assignment for a candidate set of selected projects must also be optimized. We provide a nonlinear mixed-integer program formulation for the overall problem, and then propose heuristic solution techniques composed of (1) a greedy heuristic for the scheduling and staff assignment part, and (2) two (alternative) metaheuristics for the project selection part. The paper outlines experimental results on a real-world application provided by the E-Commerce Competence Center Austria and, for a slightly simplified instance, presents comparisons with the exact solution computed by CPLEX.  相似文献

We present PTASs for the disk cover problem: given geometric objects and a finite set of disk centers, minimize the total cost for covering those objects with disks under a polynomial cost function on the disks’ radii. We describe the first FPTAS for covering a line segment when the disk centers form a discrete set, and a PTAS for when a set of geometric objects, described by polynomial algebraic inequalities, must be covered. We study the free boundary problem for a plasma–vacuum interface in ideal incompressible magnetohydrodynamics. Unlike the classical statement when the vacuum magnetic field obeys the div-curl system of pre-Maxwell dynamics, to better understand the influence of the electric field in vacuum, we do not neglect the displacement current in the vacuum region and consider the Maxwell equations for electric and magnetic fields. Under the necessary and sufficient stability condition for a planar interface found earlier by Trakhinin, we prove an energy a priori estimate for the linearized constant coefficient problem. The process of derivation of this estimate is based on various methods, including a secondary symmetrization of the vacuum Maxwell equations, the derivation of a hyperbolic evolutionary equation for the interface function, and the construction of a degenerate Kreiss-type symmetrizer for an elliptic-hyperbolic problem for the total pressure.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple matrix formula is given for the observed information matrix when the EM algorithm is applied to categorical data with missing values. The formula requires only the design matrices, a matrix linking the complete and incomplete data, and a few simple derivatives. It can be easily programmed using a computer language with operators for matrix multiplication, element-by-element multiplication and division, matrix concatenation, and creation of diagonal and block diagonal arrays. The formula is applicable whenever the incomplete data can be expressed as a linear function of the complete data, such as when the observed counts represent the sum of latent classes, a supplemental margin, or the number censored. In addition, the formula applies to a wide variety of models for categorical data, including those with linear, logistic, and log-linear components. Examples include a linear model for genetics, a log-linear model for two variables and nonignorable nonresponse, the product of a log-linear model for two variables and a logit model for nonignorable nonresponse, a latent class model for the results of two diagnostic tests, and a product of linear models under double sampling.  相似文献

We give asymptotics for the cumulative distribution function (CDF) for degrees of large dense random graphs sampled from a graphon. The proof is based on precise asymptotics for binomial random variables. This result is a first step for giving a nonparametric test for identifying the degree function of a large random graph. Replacing the indicator function in the empirical CDF by a smoother function, we get general asymptotic results for functionals of homomorphism densities for partially labeled graphs. This general setting allows to recover recent results on asymptotics for homomorphism densities of sampled graphon.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish a Carleman estimate for a strongly damped wave equation in order to solve a coefficient inverse problems of retrieving a stationary potential from a single time‐dependent Neumann boundary measurement on a suitable part of the boundary. This coefficient inverse problem is for a strongly damped wave equation. We prove the uniqueness and the local stability results for this inverse problem. The proof of the results relies on Carleman estimate and a certain energy estimates for hyperbolic equation with strongly damped term. Moreover, this method could be used for a similar inverse problem for an integro‐differential equation with hyperbolic memory kernel. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper shows that if a game satisfies the sufficient condition for the existence and uniqueness of a pure-strategy Nash equilibrium provided by Rosen (Econometrica 33:520, 1965), then the game has a unique correlated equilibrium, which places probability one on the unique pure-strategy Nash equilibrium. In addition, it shows that a weaker condition suffices for the uniqueness of a correlated equilibrium. The condition generalizes the sufficient condition for the uniqueness of a correlated equilibrium provided by Neyman (Int J Game Theory 26:223, 1997) for a potential game with a strictly concave potential function. In this paper, the concept of determinants for the matrices over a commutative semiring is introduced, and a development of determinantal identities is presented. This includes a generalization of the Laplace and Binet–Cauchy Theorems, as well as on adjoint matrices. Also, the determinants and the adjoint matrices over a commutative difference-ordered semiring are discussed and some inequalities for the determinants and for the adjoint matrices are obtained. The main results in this paper generalize the corresponding results for matrices over commutative rings, for fuzzy matrices, for lattice matrices and for incline matrices.  相似文献

We study the effects of demand uncertainty on optimal decisions and the expected profit of a price-setting newsvendor who faces either additive or multiplicative stochastic demand. Our key findings are as follows. (1) A stochastically larger demand may even lead to a smaller order size and a lower profit when price is endogenous. (2) A stochastically larger demand will lead to a higher selling price in general for the additive demand case but to a lower selling price under certain mild conditions for the multiplicative demand case. Moreover, if the larger demand can be represented by a transformation of the lower one, it will lead to a higher expected profit for both demand cases. However, except for the setting with a zero shortage cost, a larger demand may not necessarily result in a higher expected profit in general. (3) Under mild conditions, a less variable demand will lead to a higher and lower selling price for the additive and multiplicative demand case, respectively, and a higher expected profit for both cases.  相似文献

The collective motion of organisms is observed at almost all levels of biological systems. In this paper the density-velocity model of the collective motion of organisms is analyzed. This model consists of a system of nonlinear parabolic equations, a forced Burgers equation for velocity and a mass conservation equation for density. These equations are supplemented with the Neumann boundary conditions for the density and the Dirichlet boundary conditions for the velocity. The existence, uniqueness and regularity of solution for the density-velocity problem is proved in a bounded 1D domain. Moreover, a priori estimates for the solutions are established, and existence of an attractor is proved. Finally, some numerical approximations for asymptotical behavior of the density-velocity model are presented.  相似文献
