Recently, Srivastava and Pintér proved addition theorems for the generalized Bernoulli and Euler polynomials. Luo and Srivastava obtained the anologous results for the generalized Apostol–Bernoulli polynomials and the generalized Apostol–Euler polynomials. Finally, Tremblay et al. gave analogues of the Srivastava–Pintér addition theorem for general family of Bernoulli polynomials. In this paper, we obtain Srivastava–Pintér type theorems for 2D‐Appell Polynomials. We also give the representation of 2D‐Appell Polynomials in terms of the Stirling numbers of the second kind and 1D‐Appell polynomials. Furthermore, we introduce the unified 2D‐Apostol polynomials. In particular, we obtain some relations between that family of polynomials and the generalized Hurwitz–Lerch zeta function as well as the Gauss hypergeometric function. Finally, we present some applications of Srivastava–Pintér type theorems for 2D‐Appell Polynomials. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The main object of this paper is to give analogous definitions of Apostol type (see [T.M. Apostol, On the Lerch Zeta function, Pacific J. Math. 1 (1951) 161-167] and [H.M. Srivastava, Some formulas for the Bernoulli and Euler polynomials at rational arguments, Math. Proc. Cambridge Philos. Soc. 129 (2000) 77-84]) for the so-called Apostol-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials of higher order. We establish their elementary properties, derive several explicit representations for them in terms of the Gaussian hypergeometric function and the Hurwitz (or generalized) Zeta function, and deduce their special cases and applications which are shown here to lead to the corresponding results for the classical Bernoulli numbers and polynomials of higher order.  相似文献

We define the generalized potential polynomials associated to an independent variable, and prove an explicit formula involving the generalized potential polynomials and the exponential Bell polynomials. We use this formula to describe closed type formulas for the higher order Bernoulli, Eulerian, Euler, Genocchi, Apostol-Bernoulli, Apostol-Euler polynomials and the polynomials involving the Stirling numbers of the second kind. As further applications, we derive several known identities involving the Bernoulli numbers and polynomials and Euler polynomials, and new relations for the higher order tangent numbers, the higher order Bernoulli numbers of the second kind, the numbers , the higher order Bernoulli numbers and polynomials and the higher order Euler polynomials and their coefficients.  相似文献

We prove a general symmetric identity involving the degenerate Bernoulli polynomials and sums of generalized falling factorials, which unifies several known identities for Bernoulli and degenerate Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. We use this identity to describe some combinatorial relations between these polynomials and generalized factorial sums. As further applications we derive several identities, recurrences, and congruences involving the Bernoulli numbers, degenerate Bernoulli numbers, generalized factorial sums, Stirling numbers of the first kind, Bernoulli numbers of higher order, and Bernoulli numbers of the second kind.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, using geometric polynomials, we obtain a generating function of p-Bernoulli numbers in terms of harmonic numbers. As consequences of this generating function, we derive closed formulas for the finite summation of Bernoulli and harmonic numbers involving Stirling numbers of the second kind. We also give a relationship between the p-Bernoulli numbers and the generalized Bernoulli polynomials.  相似文献

We give some alternative forms of the generating functions for the Bernstein basis functions. Using these forms,we derive a collection of functional equations for the generating functions. By applying these equations, we prove some identities for the Bernstein basis functions. Integrating these identities, we derive a variety of identities and formulas, some old and some new, for combinatorial sums involving binomial coefficients, Pascal's rule, Vandermonde's type of convolution, the Bernoulli polynomials, and the Catalan numbers. Recently, the authors introduced some generalizations of the Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials and the Apostol-Euler polynomials (see [Q.-M. Luo, H.M. Srivastava, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 308 (2005) 290-302] and [Q.-M. Luo, Taiwanese J. Math. 10 (2006) 917-925]). The main object of this paper is to investigate an analogous generalization of the Genocchi polynomials of higher order, that is, the so-called Apostol-Genocchi polynomials of higher order. For these generalized Apostol-Genocchi polynomials, we establish several elementary properties, provide some explicit relationships with the Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials and the Apostol-Euler polynomials, and derive various explicit series representations in terms of the Gaussian hypergeometric function and the Hurwitz (or generalized) zeta function. We also deduce their special cases and applications which are shown here to lead to the corresponding results for the Genocchi and Euler polynomials of higher order. By introducing an analogue of the Stirling numbers of the second kind, that is, the so-called λ-Stirling numbers of the second kind, we derive some basic properties and formulas and consider some interesting applications to the family of the Apostol type polynomials. Furthermore, we also correct an error in a previous paper [Q.-M. Luo, H.M. Srivastava, Comput. Math. Appl. 51 (2006) 631-642] and pose two open problems on the subject of our investigation.  相似文献

A multiplication theorem for the Lerch zeta function ?(s,a,ξ) is obtained, from which, when evaluating at s=−n for integers n?0, explicit representations for the Bernoulli and Euler polynomials are derived in terms of two arrays of polynomials related to the classical Stirling and Eulerian numbers. As consequences, explicit formulas for some special values of the Bernoulli and Euler polynomials are given.  相似文献

We have shown recently that the space of modular forms, the space of generalized Dedekind sums, and the space of period polynomials are all isomorphic. In this paper, we will prove, under these isomorphisms, that the Eisenstein series correspond to the Apostol generalized Dedekind sums, and that the period polynomials are expressed in terms of Bernoulli numbers. This gives us a new more natural proof of the reciprocity law for the Apostol generalized Dedekind sums. Our proof yields as a by-product new polylogarithm identities.

In this study, we give multiplication formula for generalized Euler polynomials of order α and obtain some explicit recursive formulas. The multiple alternating sums with positive real parameters a and b are evaluated in terms of both generalized Euler and generalized Bernoulli polynomials of order α. Finally we obtained some interesting special cases.  相似文献

Recently, Srivastava et al. introduced a new generalization of the Bernoulli, Euler and Genocchi polynomials (see [H.M. Srivastava, M. Garg, S. Choudhary, Russian J. Math. Phys. 17 (2010) 251-261] and [H.M. Srivastava, M. Garg, S. Choudhary, Taiwanese J. Math. 15 (2011) 283-305]). They established several interesting properties of these general polynomials, the generalized Hurwitz-Lerch zeta functions and also in series involving the familiar Gaussian hypergeometric function. By the same motivation of Srivastava’s et al. [11] and [12], we introduce and derive multiplication formula and some identities related to the generalized Bernoulli type polynomials of higher order associated with positive real parameters a, b and c. We also establish multiple alternating sums in terms of these polynomials. Moreover, by differentiating the generating function of these polynomials, we give a interpolation function of these polynomials.  相似文献

We develop polynomials in zC for which some generalized harmonic numbers are special cases at z=0. By using the Riordan array method, we explore interesting relationships between these polynomials, the generalized Stirling polynomials, the Bernoulli polynomials, the Cauchy polynomials and the Nörlund polynomials.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate several further interesting properties of symmetry for the p-adic invariant integrals on ? p . From these symmetry, we can derive many interesting recurrence identities for Bernoulli and Euler polynomials. Finally we introduce the new concept of symmetry of fermionic p-adic invariant integral on ? p . By using this symmetry of fermionic p-adic invariant integral on ? p , we will give some relations of symmetry between the power sum polynomials and Euler numbers. The relation between the q-Bernoulli polynomials and q-Dedekind type sums which discussed in Y. Simsek (q-Dedekind type sums related to q-zeta function and basic L-series, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 318 (2006), pp. 333–351) can be also derived by using the properties of symmetry of fermionic p-adic integral on ? p .  相似文献

Main purpose of this paper is to reconstruct generating function of the Bernstein type polynomials. Some properties of this generating functions are given. By applying this generating function, not only derivative of these polynomials but also recurrence relations of these polynomials are found. Interpolation function of these polynomials is also constructed by Mellin transformation. This function interpolates these polynomials at negative integers which are given explicitly. Moreover, relations between these polynomials, the Stirling numbers of the second kind and Bernoulli polynomials of higher order are given. Furthermore some remarks associated with the Bezier curves are given.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to define some new families of the special numbers. These numbers provide some further motivation for computation of combinatorial sums involving binomial coefficients and the Euler kind numbers of negative order. We can show that these numbers are related to the well‐known numbers and polynomials such as the Stirling numbers of the second kind and the central factorial numbers, the array polynomials, the rook numbers and polynomials, the Bernstein basis functions and others. In order to derive our new identities and relations for these numbers, we use a technique including the generating functions and functional equations. Finally, we give not only a computational algorithm for these numbers but also some numerical values of these numbers and the Euler numbers of negative order with tables. We also give some combinatorial interpretations of our new numbers. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We study a family of polynomials whose values express degrees of Schubert varieties in the generalized complex flag manifold G/B. The polynomials are given by weighted sums over saturated chains in the Bruhat order. We derive several explicit formulas for these polynomials, and investigate their relations with Schubert polynomials, harmonic polynomials, Demazure characters, and generalized Littlewood-Richardson coefficients. In the second half of the paper, we study the classical flag manifold and discuss related combinatorial objects: flagged Schur polynomials, 312-avoiding permutations, generalized Gelfand-Tsetlin polytopes, the inverse Schubert-Kostka matrix, parking functions, and binary trees.
