The aim of this paper is to introduce and investigate some of the primary generalizations and unifications of the Peters polynomials and numbers by means of convenient generating functions and p‐adic integrals method. Various fundamental properties of these polynomials and numbers involving some explicit series and integral representations in terms of the generalized Stirling numbers, generalized harmonic sums, and some well‐known special numbers and polynomials are presented. By using p‐adic integrals, we construct generating functions for Peters type polynomials and numbers (Apostol‐type Peters numbers and polynomials). By using these functions with their partial derivative eqautions and functional equations, we derive many properties, relations, explicit formulas, and identities including the Apostol‐Bernoulli polynomials, the Apostol‐Euler polynomials, the Boole polynomials, the Bernoulli polynomials, and numbers of the second kind, generalized harmonic sums. A brief revealing and historical information for the Peters type polynomials are given. Some of the formulas given in this article are given critiques and comments between previously well‐known formulas. Finally, two open problems for interpolation functions for Apostol‐type Peters numbers and polynomials are revealed.  相似文献

In this article, we find elements of the Lucas polynomials by using two matrices. We extend the study to the n-step Lucas polynomials. Then the Lucas polynomials and their relationship are generalized in the paper. Furthermore, we give relationships between the Fibonacci polynomials and the Lucas polynomials.  相似文献

Asymptotic expansions are given for large values of n of the generalized Bessel polynomials . The analysis is based on integrals that follow from the generating functions of the polynomials. A new simple expansion is given that is valid outside a compact neighborhood of the origin in the z-plane. New forms of expansions in terms of elementary functions valid in sectors not containing the turning points zi/n are derived, and a new expansion in terms of modified Bessel functions is given. Earlier asymptotic expansions of the generalized Bessel polynomials by Wong and Zhang (1997) and Dunster (2001) are discussed.  相似文献

We derive asymptotics for polynomials orthogonal over the complex unit disk with respect to a weight of the form 2|h(z)|, with h(z) a polynomial without zeros in |z|<1. The behavior of the polynomials is established at every point of the complex plane. The proofs are based on adapting to the unit disk a technique of J. Szabados for the asymptotic analysis of polynomials orthogonal over the unit circle with respect to the same type of weight.  相似文献

Recently, Srivastava et al. introduced a new generalization of the Bernoulli, Euler and Genocchi polynomials (see [H.M. Srivastava, M. Garg, S. Choudhary, Russian J. Math. Phys. 17 (2010) 251-261] and [H.M. Srivastava, M. Garg, S. Choudhary, Taiwanese J. Math. 15 (2011) 283-305]). They established several interesting properties of these general polynomials, the generalized Hurwitz-Lerch zeta functions and also in series involving the familiar Gaussian hypergeometric function. By the same motivation of Srivastava’s et al. [11] and [12], we introduce and derive multiplication formula and some identities related to the generalized Bernoulli type polynomials of higher order associated with positive real parameters a, b and c. We also establish multiple alternating sums in terms of these polynomials. Moreover, by differentiating the generating function of these polynomials, we give a interpolation function of these polynomials.  相似文献

Recently, a novel method based on the coding of partitions was used to determine a power series expansion for the reciprocal of the logarithmic function, viz. z/ln (1+z). Here we explain how this method can be adapted to obtain power series expansions for other intractable functions. First, the method is adapted to evaluate the Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. As a result, new integral representations and properties are determined for the former. Then via another adaptation of the method we derive a power series expansion for the function z s /ln  s (1+z), whose polynomial coefficients A k (s) are referred to as the generalized reciprocal logarithm numbers because they reduce to the reciprocal logarithm numbers when s=1. In addition to presenting a general formula for their evaluation, this paper presents various properties of the generalized reciprocal logarithm numbers including general formulas for specific values of s, a recursion relation and a finite sum identity. Other representations in terms of special polynomials are also derived for the A k (s), which yield general formulas for the highest order coefficients. The paper concludes by deriving new results involving infinite series of the A k (s) for the Riemann zeta and gamma functions and other mathematical quantities.  相似文献

We define the generalized potential polynomials associated to an independent variable, and prove an explicit formula involving the generalized potential polynomials and the exponential Bell polynomials. We use this formula to describe closed type formulas for the higher order Bernoulli, Eulerian, Euler, Genocchi, Apostol-Bernoulli, Apostol-Euler polynomials and the polynomials involving the Stirling numbers of the second kind. As further applications, we derive several known identities involving the Bernoulli numbers and polynomials and Euler polynomials, and new relations for the higher order tangent numbers, the higher order Bernoulli numbers of the second kind, the numbers , the higher order Bernoulli numbers and polynomials and the higher order Euler polynomials and their coefficients.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study on the Genocchi polynomials of higher order on P, the algebra of polynomials in the single variable x over the field C of characteristic zero and P, the vector spaces of all linear functional on P. By using the action of a linear functional L on a polynomial p(x) Sheffer sequences and Appell sequences, we obtain some fundamental properties of the Genocchi polynomials. Furthermore, we give relations between, the first and second kind Stirling numbers, Euler polynomials of higher order and Genocchi polynomials of higher order.  相似文献

Recently, the authors introduced some generalizations of the Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials and the Apostol-Euler polynomials (see [Q.-M. Luo, H.M. Srivastava, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 308 (2005) 290-302] and [Q.-M. Luo, Taiwanese J. Math. 10 (2006) 917-925]). The main object of this paper is to investigate an analogous generalization of the Genocchi polynomials of higher order, that is, the so-called Apostol-Genocchi polynomials of higher order. For these generalized Apostol-Genocchi polynomials, we establish several elementary properties, provide some explicit relationships with the Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials and the Apostol-Euler polynomials, and derive various explicit series representations in terms of the Gaussian hypergeometric function and the Hurwitz (or generalized) zeta function. We also deduce their special cases and applications which are shown here to lead to the corresponding results for the Genocchi and Euler polynomials of higher order. By introducing an analogue of the Stirling numbers of the second kind, that is, the so-called λ-Stirling numbers of the second kind, we derive some basic properties and formulas and consider some interesting applications to the family of the Apostol type polynomials. Furthermore, we also correct an error in a previous paper [Q.-M. Luo, H.M. Srivastava, Comput. Math. Appl. 51 (2006) 631-642] and pose two open problems on the subject of our investigation.  相似文献

In this paper, we treat three questions related to the d-orthogonality of the Humbert polynomials. The first one consists to determinate the explicit expression of the d-dimensional functional vector for which the d-orthogonality holds. The second one is the investigation of the components of Humbert polynomial sequence. That allows us to introduce, as far as we know, new d-orthogonal polynomials generalizing the classical Jacobi ones. The third one consists to solve a characterization problem related to a generalized hypergeometric representation of the Humbert polynomials.  相似文献

In this study, we give multiplication formula for generalized Euler polynomials of order α and obtain some explicit recursive formulas. The multiple alternating sums with positive real parameters a and b are evaluated in terms of both generalized Euler and generalized Bernoulli polynomials of order α. Finally we obtained some interesting special cases.  相似文献

A multiplication theorem for the Lerch zeta function ?(s,a,ξ) is obtained, from which, when evaluating at s=−n for integers n?0, explicit representations for the Bernoulli and Euler polynomials are derived in terms of two arrays of polynomials related to the classical Stirling and Eulerian numbers. As consequences, explicit formulas for some special values of the Bernoulli and Euler polynomials are given.  相似文献

Two well-known q-Hermite polynomials are the continuous and discrete q-Hermite polynomials. In this paper we consider a new family of q-Hermite polynomials and prove several curious properties about these polynomials. One striking property is the connection with q-Fibonacci and q-Lucas polynomials. The latter relation yields a generalization of the Touchard-Riordan formula.  相似文献

The Do?ev-Grosswald asymptotic series for the generalized Bessel polynomials yn(z; a, b) is extended to O(1/n4) relative accuracy. The differential equation of the asymptotic factor, derived from the differential equation for yn(z; a, b), is the basis of a different and easier method that employs simple recurrence relations and much less algebra for obtaining the same series. This is applied to the important special case of a = 1 to obtain the asymptotic series to O(1/n11) relative accuracy.  相似文献

Intersective polynomials are polynomials in Z[x] having roots every modulus. For example, P1(n)=n2 and P2(n)=n2−1 are intersective polynomials, but P3(n)=n2+1 is not. The purpose of this note is to deduce, using results of Green and Tao (2006) [8] and Lucier (2006) [16], that for any intersective polynomial h, inside any subset of positive relative density of the primes, we can find distinct primes p1,p2 such that p1p2=h(n) for some integer n. Such a conclusion also holds in the Chen primes (where by a Chen prime we mean a prime number p such that p+2 is the product of at most 2 primes).  相似文献

We show that each polynomial a(z)=1+a1z+?+adzd in N[z] having only real zeros is the f-polynomial of a multicomplex. It follows that a(z) is also the h-polynomial of a Cohen-Macaulay ring and is the g-polynomial of a simplicial polytope. We conjecture that a(z) is also the f-polynomial of a simplicial complex and show that the multicomplex result implies this in the special case that the zeros of a(z) belong to the real interval [-1,0). We also show that for fixed d the conjecture can fail for at most finitely many polynomials having the required form.  相似文献

We prove that certain multiple integrals depending on the complex parameter z can be expressed as polynomials in z and ln(1 ? z). Similar identities were first used by K. Mahler in connection with the proofs of certain results of the theory of transcendental numbers.  相似文献

The Markov-Bernstein inequalities for generalized Gegenbauer weight are studied. A special basis of the vector space Pn of real polynomials in one variable of degree at most equal to n is proposed. It is produced by quasi-orthogonal polynomials with respect to this generalized Gegenbauer measure. Thanks to this basis the problem to find the Markov-Bernstein constant is separated in two eigenvalue problems. The first has a classical form and we are able to give lower and upper bounds of the Markov-Bernstein constant by using the Newton method and the classical qd algorithm applied to a sequence of orthogonal polynomials. The second is a generalized eigenvalue problem with a five diagonal matrix and a tridiagonal matrix. A lower bound is obtained by using the Newton method applied to the six term recurrence relation produced by the expansion of the characteristic determinant. The asymptotic behavior of an upper bound is studied. Finally, the asymptotic behavior of the Markov-Bernstein constant is O(n2) in both cases.  相似文献
