Pyridine-2-aldoiumc (I) has been found to be a sensitive reagent for the gravimetric determination of palladium(II). From chloride medium, precipitation is complete at pH 3.0-11.0, and in solution containing 1NHNO(3) to pH6.0. The compositions of the precipitates (dried at 130 degrees ) correspond to PdL(2), and PdL(2). HNO(3) (HL representing the reagent) respectively. Pd(II) can be estimated gravimetncally in presence of acetate, oxalate, tartrate, phosphate, fluoride borate, perchlorate, Cu(II), Cd, Co(II), Fe(II), Ni, Zn, Pb, Bi, Sb(III), Pt(IV), Ir(IV), Ru(III), Rh(III); Os(IV) in quantities more than twice that of Pd(II), and Ag(I), Au(III) and Fe(II) even m traces cause serious interference. The yellow uranium(VI) complex with (I) is precipitated quantitatively over the pH range 3.5-10.5 and, after washing and drying corresponds to the composition (c(6)h(5)n(2)o)(2)uo(2), The uranium(VI) complex with 6-methylpyridine-2-aldoxime (II) is precipitated quantitatively over the pH range 3.0-10.5, and after washing and drying at 120-130 degrees corresponds to UO(2),(C(7),H(7),N(2)O)(2). Both (I) and (II) are suitable for the estimation of 1-50 mg of uranium(VI) in the presence of up to 10-fold quantities ofTh(IV), La(III) and Ce(III) even when present together. Ce(IV) in quantities more than three times that of U must be reduced to Ce(III). Tartrate, citrate, phosphate, Ti(IV) and Zr interfere, but acetate, oxalate, and borate do not.  相似文献

An imidazoline group-containing chelating fiber was prepared by means of the reaction of nitrile groups with ethylenediamine in an hydrazine-modified polyacrylonitrile fiber. The adsorption properties of the chelating fiber for Au(III), Pd(II), Pt(IV), Ir(IV), Os(IV), Rh(III) and Ru(IV) ions, such as binding capacity, distribution coefficient, sorptive rate and quantitative elution of Au(III), Pd(II) and Pt(IV) ions were investigated. The imidazoline group-containing chelating fiber possessed high binding capacities and good adsorption kinetic properties, exhibited high affinity for noble metals in 0.1-1.0 mol/L HCl and could be efficiently re-used. After the separation of trace Au(III), Pd(II) and Pt(IV) ions from a matrix using the chelating fiber, these ions could be determined by ICP-AES with satisfactory results, and the relative standard deviation for Au(III), Pd(II) and Pt(IV) ions was less than 6%.  相似文献

Vinyl 2-hydroxyethyl sulfide (VHES) homopolymer and the homopolymer and vinyl 2-hydroxyethyl sulfide-acryl amide copolymer cross-linked by bisacrylamide were prepared by radical polymerization. The sorption of Au(III), Ag(I), Pd(II), Pt(IV), Hg(II), Pb(II), Fe(III), Ni(II), Cu(II) on these polymers under the static conditions was studied in relation to the solution pH. The polymers are highly selective and efficient sorbents for Au(III), Ag(I) and Hg(II).  相似文献

The adsorption of palladium(II), rhodium(III), and platinum(IV) from diluted hydrochloric acid solutions onto Fe(3)O(4) nanoparticles has been investigated. The parameters studied include the contact time and the concentrations of metals and other solutes such as H(+) and chloride. The equilibrium time was reached in less than 20 min for all metals. The maximum loading capacity of Fe(3)O(4) nanoparticles for Pd(II), Rh(III), and Pt(IV) was determined to be 0.103, 0.149, and 0.068 mmol g(-1), respectively. A sorption mechanism for Pd(II), Rh(III), and Pt(IV) has been proposed and their conditional adsorption equilibrium constants have been determined to be logK=1.72, 1.69, and 1.84, respectively. Different compositions of eluting solution were tested for the recovery of Pt(IV), Pd(II), and Rh(III) from Fe(3)O(4) nanoparticles. It was found that 0.5 mol L(-1) HNO(3) can elute all of the metal ions simultaneously, while 1 mol L(-1) NaHSO(3) was an effective eluting solution for Rh(III), and 0.5 mol L(-1) NaClO(4) for Pt(IV). In competitive adsorption, the nanoparticles showed stronger affinity for Rh(III) than for Pd(II) and Pt(IV).  相似文献

The solvent extraction separation of Pt(IV), Pd(II), Os(VIII), Ru(III) and Au(III) from one another and also from Rh(III) and Ir(III) with 1-(2'-nitro-4'-tolyl)-4,4,6-trimethyl-(1H, 4H)-2-pyrimidinethiol has been investigated. Photometric procedures have been developed for the determination of Pd(II), Os(VIII) and Ru(III) with the same reagent. The reagent allows the enrichment of Pd(II) and Au(III) at the trace level from a large volume of aqueous medium even in the presence of base metals. The method can be used for the determination of platinum metals and gold in alloys.  相似文献

Monomeric and polymeric organosilicon derivatives of 1-acetylguanidine, which exhibits sorption properties, were synthesized. The organosilicon polymers prepared were studied as sorbents for heavy [Hg(II)] and noble [Ag(I), Au(III), Rh(III), Pd(II), Pt(IV)] metals. They actively take up platinum group metals and exhibit metallochromic properties by analogy with the starting compound, 1-acetylguanidine. Their interaction with all the elements studied is accompanied by coloration. The initial monomers exhibit similar metallochromic properties.  相似文献

The ion chromatography of chloro complexes of Au(III), Ir(IV), Ir(III), Os(IV), Pd(II), Pt(IV), Rh(III) and Ru(III) was investigated using anion-exchange and ion-interaction techniques involving silica-based phases. Chloride was either absent or at a very low level and the pH was high enough to enable steel-fabricated liquid chromatography equipment to be used. With anion exchange, Ir(IV), Ir(III), Os(IV) and Pt(IV) gave good stable chromatography and all produced linear calibration plots, except Ir(IV) owing to instability of the sample solution. The detection limits were Ir(III) 5, Os(IV) 10 and Pt(IV) 2 ng ml?1. The ion-interaction technique was not so successful, only Au(III) and Pd(II) giving stable chromatography. The calibration plots were slightly curved, although acceptable, and the detection limits were 10 and 30 ng ml?1 for Au (III) and Pd(II), respectively.  相似文献

Oximidobenzotetronic acid is recommended for the separation and gravimetric determination of palladium and cobalt An ethanolic solution of the reagent quantitatively precipitates palladium(II) from solutions which are 0.75 N in acid up to pH 5.1, the complex is weighed as Pd(C9H5NO4)2. Cobalt(II) can be determined in the filtrate after the precipitation of palladium. With 0.5 N acid solutions, no interference was found from Pt(IV), Ir(IV), Rh(III), Ru(III), Os(IV), Au(III), Ag(I), Cu(II), Fe(III), Ni(II), Hg(II). Pb(II), Bi(III), Cd(II), As(V), Se(VI), Te(IV), Mo(VI), Sb(III), Al(III), Cr(III), Zn(II), Ti(IV), Zr(IV). acetate, oxalate, citrate, tartrate, phosphate and fluoride.  相似文献

Summary A method for the gravimetric determination of milligram quantities of Ag(I), Au(III), Pd(II), and Pt(IV) is presented. It is based on precipitation of the respective chelates withm-(mercaptoacetamido)phenol. Procedures for the analysis of binary and ternary mixtures are described.

A simple and rapid method is described for the gravimetric determination of ruthenium(III) with two new isomeric reagents, m-and p-phenylene-di(1-tetrazoline-5-thione). Solutions containing milligram amounts of ruthenium(III)on treatment with the acetone or alcohol solutions of the reagents at pH 5.5-7.0 give a quantitative yield of an intensely green insoluble 1:1 complex which can be easily filtered off and dried at 110-115 degrees . Amounts of ruthenium down to 0.5 mg can be determined with fairly good accuracy and precision. Even large amounts of rhodium do not cause any interference. The following cations interfere: Pd(II), Pt(IV), Au(III), Ir(IV), Bi, Fe(III), Cu(II), Hg(I), Hg(II), Pb, Cd, T1(I) and Ag.  相似文献

The chloroform extraction of 30 elements (Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Cd, Ge, Sn, V, As, Sb, Bi, Cu, Ag, Au, Mn, Re, Ga, In, Tl, Se, Te, Cr, Mo, U, Pt, Pd, Rh, Ir, Ru and Ce) from 0.1-8M sulphuric acid in the presence of potassium ethyl xanthate has been studied. Pd(II), Bi, As(III), Sb(III), Se(IV) and Te(IV) are completely extracted and Au(III) is largely extracted over the range of acid concentration investigated. Fe(II), Tl(I), Rh(III) and Cr(VI) are only slightly extracted and Se(VI), Te(VI), Ru(III), Cr(III), Mn(II), Zn, Ce(IV), Ir(IV) and Ge(IV) are not extracted at all. Depending on the acid concentration, the remaining elements are all partly extracted. Results are compared with those obtained in an earlier study of the extraction of xanthate complexes from hydrochloric acid media. The processes involved in the formation of some xanthate complexes and potential analytical separations are discussed.  相似文献

A new functional resin with a long functional side chain was synthesized by modification of aminated macroporous poly(vinyl chloride) resin with cyanoethylene and ethylenediamine. Traces of Au(III), Pt(IV) and Pd(II) in aqueous solution were quantitatively adsorbed in the acidity range of pH 4 and C(H(+)) 3 M. The rate of equilibration is high; Cu(2+), Fe(3+), Ni(2+), etc. exhibit little interference on the adsorption of the sought noble metals. The saturated adsorption capacities for Au(III), Pt(IV), Pd(II) and Ir(IV) in 2 M HCl were 4.0, 1.57, 2.26, 1.85 mmol g(-1). Adsorbed ions can be quantitatively desorbed by 4% thiourea +0.25 M H(2)SO(4). The resin has good reusability, and can be used for preconcentration and separation of Au(III), Pt(IV) and Pd(II) prior to their determination by ICP-AES with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The oxidation states in which some elements react, and potential analytical separations, are discussed. Pd(II), As(III) and Se(IV) are completely extracted as ethyl xanthate complexes, Te(IV) is almost completely extracted, and Au(III) is largely extracted over the range of acid concentration investigated. Mn(II), Zn, Rh(III), Ir(IV), Ru(III), Os(IV), Cr(III), Cr(VI), Ce(III) and Ce(IV) are not extracted. Ge is partly extracted from 6-10M media as the chloro-complex. Depending on the acid concentration, the remaining elements are all partially extracted as xanthate complexes.  相似文献

A method was established for the preconcentration of trace Au(III), Pd(II) and Pt(IV) by activated carbon modified with 3,4-dihydroxycinnamic acid. The separation and preconcentration conditions of analytes were investigated, such as effects of pH, the contacting time, the sample ?ow rate and volume, the elution condition and the interfering ions. At a pH of 1.0, the maximum static sorption capacity of the sorbent was found to be 374.8, 96.6 and 137.5 mg g?1 for Au(III), Pd(II) and Pt(IV), respectively. The adsorbed metal ions were effectively eluted with 2.0 mL of 4% thiourea in 0.5 M HCl solution and determined by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry. The detection limit (3σ) of this method defined by IUPAC was found to be 0.12, 0.18 and 0.32 ?g L?1 for Au(III), Pd(II) and Pt(IV), respectively. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was lower than 3.0% (n = 8) towards standard solutions. The method has been validated by analysing certified reference materials and successfully applied to the determination of trace Au(III), Pd(II) and Pt(IV) in road sediments samples.  相似文献

The anionic chlorocomplexes of Au(III), Pt(IV), Pd(II), Ir(IV), Ir(III) and Rh(III) can be floated from aqueous solutions with cationic surfactants of the type RNR'3Br. The flotation behavior of each metal is reported with respect to variations of hydrochloric acid and sodium chloride concentrations, the R and R' chain lengths, initial surfactant concentrations and initial metal ion concentrations. The flotation behavior of the metals is compared to the anion-exchange selectivity coefficients and a flotation selectivity sequence of Au(III) > Pt(IV), Ir(IV), Pd(II) > Ir(III) > Rh(III) is generally observed. Nearly 100% of Au(III), Pt(IV), Ir(IV) and Pd(II) can be recovered from dilute solutions using the ion flotation procedures.  相似文献

A study has been made of the sorption of Ir(IV), Rh(III), Pt(IV), Ru(IV), Os(VIII), Pd(II) and Au(III) from aqueous solutions by silica chemically modified with nitrogen-containing organic ligands, as a function of hydrochloric acid concentration, time of contact, concentration of the element and the ionic strength. Sorption of noble-metal ions at pH > 1 on a sorbent containing monoamine groups seems to be due to a complexation mechanism, and to an anion-exchange mechanism at pH < 1. With aminopropyl-silica 1000-fold concentration of Ir(IV) and Rh(III) from their 10(-8)-10(-7)M solutions was achieved and these metals were subsequently determined on the sorbent surface by X-ray fluorescence. Detection limits were 10-20 ng/ml. There was no interference from 1000-fold quantities of non-ferrous metal ions and Fe(III). With the sorbent containing bonded diethylenetriamine groups, 1000-fold concentration of Au(III) was achieved, and it was then determined on the sorbent surface by an atomic-emission method. Conditions for desorption of Au(III) with pyridine and potassium thiocyanate were developed.  相似文献

Complexes of the title ligand with Cu(I), Ag(I), Au(I), Pd(II), Pt(II), Rh(III), and rare examples with Ni(II) and Co(III) have been prepared and characterised by analysis, IR, UV-vis, 1H, 63Cu and 59Co NMR spectroscopy and ES+ mass spectrometry as appropriate. The structures of [Cu[1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2]2]BF4, [PtCl2[1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2]], [M[1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2]2][PF6]2 (M = Pd or Pt), and [NiI[1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2]2]ClO4 have been determined, and the varying chelate bite and conformations of the xylyl backbone in these structures are discussed. Despite the unfavourable seven-membered chelate ring and the large soft antimony donors, 1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2 proves to be a surprisingly good ligand for late transition metals in medium oxidation states.  相似文献
