运用四阶RungeKutta法直接求解非线性介质内椭圆高斯光束传播方程组的方法分析增益介质内的克尔透镜(Kerrlens)效应,结合在增益介质外运用的线性ABCD矩阵寻找自洽解,对半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM)启动的高功率KLM钛宝石激光器谐振腔的像散、稳定性、光束参数、自聚焦效应和克尔自聚焦强度与腔参数的关系进行了系统的理论计算.计算结果与实验结果相符合.该计算为SESAM启动的五镜腔KLM激光器的设计和调整提供了理论依据 关键词: 克尔透镜锁模 飞秒 半导体可饱和吸收镜 五镜腔  相似文献

用可饱和吸收体镜(SESAM)的掺钛蓝宝石激光器能够稳定运转在三种不同的锁模状态,即可饱和吸收体被动锁模、孤子锁模加被动锁模和KLM锁模.分析了三种自锁模的机理和SESAM的作用.对SESAM实现KLM锁模的自启动机制进行了实验观察和讨论.从该激光器的KLM锁模状态,获得了小于18飞秒的锁模脉冲序列. 关键词: 半导体可饱和吸收镜 自锁模 钛宝石激光器  相似文献

结合特殊的谐振腔设计和半导体可饱和吸收镜,建成了一台低阈值的自启动掺钛宝石激光器 . 分别用3%和12%的输出耦合镜,获得了阈值低至390mW和600mW的稳定锁模脉冲输出. 采 用12%输出耦合镜,在12W抽运时,输出平均功率为114mW,对应的典型脉宽为17fs,谱宽 为47nm. 相对于以往的低阈值克尔透镜锁模激光器,锁模工作的范围区域加宽,减小了操作 难度,提高了稳定性. 关键词: 低阈值 半导体可饱和吸收镜 克尔透镜锁模 掺钛蓝宝石激光器  相似文献

介绍了一种新型半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM)的原理与特性,并用它来实现掺铒光纤激光器的锁模飞秒脉冲的生成.这种新型宽带SESAM调制深度可以达到20%,用在1.5μm波段的环形腔掺铒光纤激光器里,实现自启动锁模.锁模光谱以1559 nm为中心,半峰全宽为9 nm,锁模激光脉冲串重复频率为25.6 MHz,输出功率14 mW,自相关仪测得脉宽为170 fs.  相似文献

激光二极管侧面抽运Nd:YAG锁模激光器的研究   总被引:10,自引:3,他引:7  
利用谐振腔的稳定条件对激光二极管侧面抽运的Nd:YAG锁模直腔的稳区特性和谐振腔内的光斑分布进行了分析。根据对腔参量的分析,选取合适的腔参量设计了一个简单的侧面抽运直腔,该谐振腔腔形简单,没有像散,振荡光模式好,有利于激光器的锁模运转。实验中采用国内自行研制的半导体可饱和吸收镜,实现了激光二极管侧面抽运半导体可饱和吸收镜锁模Nd:YAG激光器的连续锁模运转,平均输出功率为2W,锁模脉冲宽度为10ps,重复频率为100MHz。结合实验结果进一步讨论了半导体可饱和吸收镜的一些参量如饱和恢复时间、调制深度等对实现稳定连续锁模的影响。  相似文献

In this paper, a self-starting, diode-pumped self-mode-locked Cr:LiSGAF laser, which produced a stable pulse train of 45 fs duration with about 20 mW-average power at the repeated rate of 90 MHz, was presented. Self-mode-locked operation can be obtained whether there is the semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) in the Cr:LiSGAF laser cavity or not, and with the SESAM in the cavity, the self-mode-locked operation could self-start. The shortest pulses, as short as 38 fs, which were not very stable, were obtain with the SESAM in the cavity.  相似文献

We proposed and fabricated a metal/dielectric mirror based high modulation depth semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM), for ease of the growth restrictions. Using such a SESAM, we obtained self-starting mode-locking in a ring cavity fiber laser, which produced 102 fs pulses at a repetition rate of 36.2 MHz.  相似文献

A robust, self-starting picosecond pulse source based on ytterbium (Yb3+) doped fiber laser is described. Utilizing a chirped-fiber-Bragg-grating (C-FBG) for dispersion control, solitary mode-locking is obtained without bulk dispersion compensation elements. A semiconductor saturable absorber (SESAM) is used for stable self-starting. 3.6 ps pulses are produced, with 45 MHz basic repetition-rate and mW scale average output power at 1060 nm. Detailed numerical simulations based on the modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation agree well with the experimental results and are used as a design tool for the solitary mode-locked picosecond laser. The presented design can be simply employed in an all-fiber environmentally-stable system.  相似文献

We report a highly efficient and high power self-starting femtosecond Cr:forsterite laser pumped by a 1064-nm Yb doped fibre laser. Five chirped mirrors are used to compensate for the intra-cavity group-delay dispersion, and the mode-locking is initiated by a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM). Under pump power of 7.9 W, stable femtosecond laser pulses with average power of 760mW are obtained, yielding a pump power slope efficiency of 12.3%. The measured pulse duration and spectral bandwidth (FWHM) are 46 fs and 45 nm; the repetition rate is 82 MHz.  相似文献

A laser diode end-pumped passively mode-locked Nd:YVO4 solid-state laser with a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM), in which the intracavity laser beam spot on the SESAM can be adjusted periodically, is investigated. Inserting a rectangular prism (RP) into the laser cavity is a promising approach towards the goal of periodically moving the position of the focus spot of the intracavity pulse on the SESAM surface to avoid the long-time irradiation of the laser beam on the same position, thereby solving a series of problems caused by damage to the SESAM and greatly prolonging its usage life. The adjustment of the rectangular prism in the laser cavity does not break the stable continuous wave (CW) mode-locked condition. The laser generates a stable picosecond pulse sequence at 1064 nm with an output power of 3.6 W and a pulse width of 14 ps. The instabilities of the output power and the pulse width are 1.77% and 4.5%, respectively.  相似文献

Spectral tuning of a mode-locked Yb-doped fiber laser over a 90-nm range is reported. Using semiconductor saturable absorber mirrors in a fiber laser cavity incorporating a grating-pair dispersive delay line, we obtain reliable self-starting mode locking over the whole tuning range. The wide tuning range is achieved by optimization of reflection characteristics and bandgap energy of the multiple-quantum-well semiconductor saturable absorber and by proper engineering of the laser cavity.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate an efficient and simple wavelength switchable dual-wavelength passively mode-locked fiber ring laser based on a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) and a cascaded sequence of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). The efficient self-starting mode-locked operation was realized with a SESAM. Dual-wavelength pulses with a wavelength spacing of 12.49 nm were obtained which was determined by the reflection peaks of the FBGs used in the experiment. In addition, by rotating the polarization controllers (PCs), the switchable dual-wavelength operation was simply achieved via exploiting wavelength-dependent loss mechanism.  相似文献
