基于动量守恒和光参变过程中的三波耦合波方程,和负单轴非线性光学晶体CsLiB6O10的色散方程,研究了在光参变效应中超短激光脉冲由于群速度色散引起的展宽和形变。数值模拟显示,在超短脉冲波形为双曲正割形和无啁啾调制时,高阶群速度色散引起的超短脉冲为50fs时,晶体长度为10mm,紫外光213nm作为基波入射时的脉冲展宽是波长为532nm绿光在同等条件下的1.6倍。脉冲展宽程度与入射波长和晶体长度有关,波长越短和晶体长度越长则脉冲展宽和波形变化越严重,高阶色散引起的超短高斯脉冲展宽,将破坏其波形对称性并引起旁瓣现象。  相似文献

对超短强激光脉冲在CsLiB6O10晶体中的群速失配进行了理论分析,采用傅里叶变换法推导超短脉冲二次谐波的耦合波方程。在Ⅰ类相位匹配下数值计算了脉冲宽度50fs的基波532nm,在CsLiB6O10晶体长度为0.5mm时产生二次谐波(266nm)的群速延迟量约100fs,并且随着晶体长度的增长,二次谐波的脉冲宽度几乎线性展宽。并得到了群速失配量△β1^(2)226.243fs/mm,低阶和二阶群速色散系数分别为β2^(3)=210.120fs^2/mm,β2^(3)=65.587fs^3/mm。其结果表明由于群速延迟和群速色散导致了谐波脉宽展宽和形变。  相似文献

A wave-coupling theory of linear electro-optic (EO) effect for ultrashort laser pulses has been developed. As one of its applications, the linear EO effect of ultrashort Gaussian pulses propagating in LiNbO3 crystal is demonstrated, with the intensity lower than the damage threshold. It is found that the EO effect is sensitive to both the azimuth angle and the polar angle of wave vector of light. And the larger the applied electric field, the shorter the crystal used for optimization of EO coupling is. The numerical results show that, with the duration of input pulse changing from 150 fs to 5 fs, the durations of output pulses are broadened due to the group-velocity dispersion, as well as the first- and second-order refractive dispersion. In addition, when input pulse duration is larger than 20 fs, in contrast with zero chirp, the output durations can be slightly compressed if a positive chirp input pulse is used. The validities of slowly varying amplitude approximation and continuous wave approximation are also discussed. The influence of self-phase modulation and cross-phase modulation on the EO effect is also discussed briefly.  相似文献

采用放电泵浦KrF准分子激光放大器放大波长为248.4nm的紫外超短脉冲激光。对于能量为0.7mJ、脉宽为550fs的输入脉冲,在光束直径保持10mm不变的条件下,能量放大到15mJ,脉宽展宽到1200fs。为了压缩输出脉冲宽度,分析了群速度色散和自相位调制效应对脉宽展宽的影响。利用棱镜对,采用4种不同的实验方案对脉冲引入负的线性频率啁啾,以补偿KrF准分子激光放大器CaF2窗镜中的群速度色散和自相位调制对脉冲引入的正的线性频率啁啾。结果表明:在放大器之前放置棱镜对的方式可以在保持输出脉冲能量为15mJ的同时,在棱镜对间距为110cm的条件下,将输出脉冲宽度压缩到370fs,输出波长为248.4nm、带宽为0.4nm。  相似文献

Efficient generation of femtosecond pulses in the wavelength range from 520 to 675 nm by external frequency doubling the signal wave of a non-critically phase-matched picosecond KTP Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO) in a non-critically phase-matched temperature tuned LiB3O5(LBO) crystal is demonstrated. An average power of the second harmonic as high as 310 mW at 575 nm was generated. In the absence of group velocity mismatch of LBO for a wavelength of the OPO at about 1.3 µm the minimum second-harmonic pulse width was 400 fs at 645 nm.  相似文献

设计了中心波长在825 nm、有效带宽在600 nm~1100 nm的超宽带啁啾镜对,色散补偿量目标值为-100 fs2。配对设计的啁啾镜对有效抑制了单个啁啾镜的色散振荡,啁啾镜对色散振荡幅度的最大值为50 fs2,用设计制作的啁啾镜对进行色散补偿,用频率分辨光学开关测量装置对脉冲进行测量。将10.3 fs的超短脉冲通过0.5 mm厚的LBO晶体,色散效应导致脉冲展宽,半峰值处的全宽度为39.6 fs,实验结果表明,经过啁啾镜对一次色散补偿后的脉冲形状,半峰值处得全宽度为11.6 fs;脉冲经过2次补偿后,脉冲被压缩到10.7 fs。  相似文献

利用预估校正分步傅里叶法数值求解非线性薛定谔方程, 模拟超短激光脉冲在全正色散光子晶体光纤中传输时的演化情况, 分析了不同脉宽和能量的脉冲对产生的超连续谱的影响. 结果表明: 无啁啾高斯脉冲在此全正色散光子晶体光纤中传输时, 始终保持单个脉冲特性, 提高脉冲峰值功率可进一步展宽获得的超连续谱.模拟结果同时表明, 利用中心波长为1060 nm, 脉宽和能量分别为50 fs, 15 nJ的脉冲抽运此光纤, 当传输12 cm 后便可获得具有较好的光谱连续性和光谱平坦度的超连续谱. 进一步模拟结果表明, 采用棱镜对对其进行脉冲压缩, 可获得脉宽约15 fs, 谱宽约700 nm的理想超连续谱光源. 关键词: 超连续谱 光子晶体光纤 全正色散  相似文献

We experimentally investigate how parameters of ultrashort laser pulses such as the pulse width and wavelength could induce changes in the dynamics of vibrational wave packets on the light-dressed-potential energy surface (LD-PES) of C2H5OH+ using a pump-and-probe pulse excitation scheme. The probability of non-adiabatic transition at 800 nm from the singly ionized ground state to the repulsive excited state leading to C–O bond breaking is enhanced when a probe laser pulse is delayed by ~180 fs. At this pulse delay, on the other hand, C–C bond breaking is significantly suppressed. Therefore, the deformation of LD-PES is considered to change the direction of the wave packet traveling originally along the C–C stretching into the direction along the C–O stretching. This non-adiabatic transition leading to the redirection of the dissociating wave packet is found to occur more efficiently at the probe laser wavelengths at 400 nm than at 800 nm. The critical pulse delay is still ~180 fs even at 400 nm.  相似文献

基于能量守恒和三波耦合波方程,建立了超短脉冲在参变过程中二次谐波产生时的I类和II类相位匹配条件、基波与谐波之间的群速延迟时间、以及群速失配对晶体长度限制的理论基础。以负单轴非线性光学晶体CsLiB6O10为例,分析和数值计算了超短脉冲宽度为100fs时,谐波的群速匹配长度随基波波长变化的规律。研究结果表明在I类相位匹配条件下,基波波长为642nm时,群速延迟最小,相应的群速匹配晶体长度最长为19.1mm;在II类相位匹配条件下,基波波长为767nm,群速延迟最小,群速匹配长度最长为0.89mm。  相似文献

提出了一种啁啾补偿群速色散的倍频方法,通过向入射基频光引入合适的初始啁啾,让其与色散相互作用,以实现对基频光脉冲宽度的主动控制,提高转换效率。研究结果表明,这种方法能显著地提高倍频转换效率,以氘含量12.6%(摩尔百分比)的KD*P晶体对脉宽30fs,中心波长为1.053μm的宽带基频光的折返点匹配宽带二倍频过程为例,当基频光转换极限位置处于晶体中心时,能取得最佳的啁啾补偿效果,转换效率可提高近22%。进一步研究了转换效率和转换带宽与晶体长度的关系。  相似文献

We give direct experimental evidence that the group velocity of ultrashort pulses can be controlled through chi(2)-cascaded interactions, under the condition of large group-velocity mismatch. The group velocity can be finely tuned by acting on pulse intensity and phase mismatch. Group-delay shifts up to 50 fs are achieved by propagating 40 fs pulses around 1400 nm in a 25 mm long periodically poled stoichiometric lithium tantalate crystal.  相似文献

We report the results of a systematic study of white light generation in different high band-gap optical media (BaF2, acrylic, water and BK-7 glass) using ultrashort (45 fs) laser pulses. We have investigated the influence of different parameters, such as focal position of the incident laser light within the medium, the polarization state of the incident laser radiation and the pulse duration of the incident laser beam on the white light generation. Our results indicate that for intense, ultrashort pulses, the position of physical focus inside the media is crucial in the generation, with high efficiency, of white light spectra over the wavelength range 400–1100 nm. Linearly polarized incident laser light generates white light with higher intensity in the blue region than circularly polarized light. Ultrashort (45 fs) pulses generate a flatter spectrum with higher white light conversion efficiency than longer (300 fs) pulses of the same laser power. We believe that a flat response over a wide range of wavelengths in the continuum may be efficiently compressed for generation of sub-10 fs pulses. We investigate the effect of the polarization state of the input pulses on the visible emissions in the anomalous dispersion region of polarization-maintaining photonic crystal fiber (PM-PCF), by using ~100 fs pump pulses whose central wavelength (1064 nm) is close to the second zero dispersion wavelength (1100 nm) of the fiber, where the soliton fission mechanisms play an important role. The experimental results show that the phase-matching two-color dispersive wave emission, one at 582 nm and the other at 600 nm, is polarization-dependent and frequency shift results from the different dispersion characteristics along the two orthogonal principal axes of PM-PCF. Furthermore, it is observed for the first time that the variation of the linear input polarization angles in 45° region almost has no influence on the output spectral profiles, and the break variation of the output spectrum exists when the angle between the polarization of the linear incident pulse and the fast-axis or the slow-axis of PM-PCF is 45°, which are attributed to the coupling between the two polarization modes in high birefringent PM-PCF.  相似文献

Compression of sub-nanojoule laser pulses using a commercially available photonic crystal fiber (PCF) with zero dispersion wavelength of 860 nm is discussed. A twofold pulse compression starting from 24 fs transform limited seed pulses around 800 nm is experimentally demonstrated as a verification of our simulations. Theory shows that by the optimization of input and output chirp parameters up to the third order, high quality, 5.7 fs pulses can be generated from a cost efficient experimental setup. Further calculations show that 1 ps pulses with central wavelength of 800 nm can be compressed down to 50 fs in the normal dispersion regime of the fiber with proper dispersion compensation. Calculations also show that dispersion flattened fibers can improve both the quality and the duration of compressed pulses. PACS 42.65.Re  相似文献

介绍了利用沉积在增透镜上的石墨烯薄膜作为可饱和吸收体、808 nm激光二极管端面泵浦Nd∶YVO4晶体的1 064 nm连续锁模激光输出特性。采用W型折叠谐振腔结构,在808 nm泵浦功率为8.0 W时,有稳定的连续锁模脉冲输出,平均输出功率达到185 mW;当抽运功率增加到16.0 W时,获得了中心波长1 063.4 nm、脉冲宽度为518 fs、重复频率为66.7 MHz、最大平均输出功率为323 mW的百飞秒量级超短脉冲激光输出。实验结果表明:石墨烯具有优良的可饱和吸收性,在1 064 nm波段能够实现高功率、百飞秒量级连续锁模脉冲激光输出。  相似文献

We present numerical investigations of ultrafast femtosecond (with time duration of 100 fs at 1/e intensity point) all-optical modulation of a pump-probe wave arrangement by using nondegenerate two-photon absorption (TPA), namely cross absorption, inside silicon-on-insulator (SOI) optical waveguides. Our results show that when a pump pulse with femtosecond duration and a continuous probe wave are co-propagating along the SOI, the probe wave can be modulated inversely by the ultrafast pump pulse, whose modulation depth depends strongly on the system parameters such as the waveguide length, the peak power and initial chirp of the pump wave, the group velocity dispersion (GVD), etc.; this means that the modulation depth can be improved by an appropriate increase of the waveguide length, the pump peak, and the initial chirp, in addition, which has a larger value for the probe wavelength in the normal dispersion regime compared with the case of abnormal dispersion when the center wavelength of the pump wave is located at the zero-dispersion wavelength.  相似文献

To generate ultrafast femtosecond optical pulses, we propose a model of an integrated device consisting of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) with two symmetric 3 dB directional couplers and a straight waveguide based on the single-mode silicon-on-insulator (SOI) optical waveguide. The principle of pulse generation in the presented device is based on the strong stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in silicon; the center wavelength of the pulse generated is tunable by changing the center wavelength of the co-propagating pump pulse. Numerical results show that, when a continuous wave (CW) with a weak power at 1670 nm wavelength and a pump pulse with a high peak power at 1550 nm wavelength are co-propagating, a narrow femtosecond pulse with a pulse width (full width at half maximum, FWHM) of ∼60 fs (FWHM of the pump pulse is 166.5 fs) can be achieved in the device proposed. In addition, when the waveguide length, pump peak power, and pump-pulse width are fixed, the properties of generated femtosecond pulse depend strongly on the incident chirp of the pump pulse and the CW power.  相似文献

Using a modified ABCD-matrix approach accounting for nonlinear refraction in active medium,the ranges of cavity parameters that provide a mode-locking of Yb∶KYW-laser in usual z-fold cavity configuration are determined.Taking the cavity parameters that provide a most efficient mode locking and based on fluctuation model,a numerical simulation of laser operation is performed.In the calculations the side-band pump power of 6W at 982 nm is used in 1 cm length KYW crystal with 1 cm×0.005 cm beam cross section.Calculations show that self-starting operation is possible with these parameters and dispersion compensation allows for bandwidth-limited ultrashort pulse generation.The shortest pulse duration was determined to be about 200 fs with self-starting buid-up time of 130 μs.Such a built-up time is comparable and even shorter than that one for the lasers with semiconductor saturable absorbers.The region of negative dispersion provided by prism pair for a stable ultrashort pulse generation was determined to be (-17000~-42000)fs2.  相似文献

The enhancement of different non-linear processes in microstructured optical fibres can be achieved through manipulation of the dispersion characteristics of the fibre. This is demonstrated by extending the region of short wavelength operation of high power supercontinuum generation through four wave mixing in a cascaded fibre geometry where the dispersion of each fibre decreased on propagation. The technique is further refined in a demonstration utilizing long lengths of dispersion decreasing tapered microstructured fibres, where the supercontinuum extends to around 300 nm with spectral power densities in excess of 2 mW/nm in the uv. These long length tapers can also be utilized for adiabatic soliton pulse compression in new spectral regions, allowing the compression of 655 fs pulses to 45 fs.  相似文献

提出了一种采用倾斜脉冲的级联二阶非线性来实现超短激光脉冲压缩的方法. 对基于单块BBO晶体中基频光与倍频光群速度匹配的级联二阶非线性的脉冲压缩方案进行了理论分析. 对比研究了群速度匹配与失配情况下利用级联二阶非线性进行脉冲压缩的效果, 并模拟分析了基频光与倍频光的位相失配量、非线性晶体长度、 基频光初始峰值光强和初始脉宽等因素对脉冲压缩效果的影响. 结果表明, 基频光与倍频光的群速度匹配将会大幅度改善压缩脉冲的时间波形和频谱分布. 通过对位相失配量、晶体长度、初始光强等参数的优化和选取可获得较理想的压缩效果. 采用倾斜脉冲的级联二阶非线性的脉宽压缩方法, 针对中心波长800 nm、脉宽100 fs, 峰值光强为50 GW/cm2的基频光脉冲, 采用25 mm厚BBO晶体, 当基频光与倍频光位相失配量Δk=60 mm-1(对应失谐角1.98°), 晶体外部脉冲前沿倾斜角γ0=74°时, 计算获得了质量较好的20 fs剩余基频光, 并同时产生了14 fs的倍频光. 关键词: 倾斜波 级联二阶非线性 群速度失配 脉冲压缩  相似文献
