We study the random motion of a charged test particle coupled to electromagnetic vacuum fluctuations near a perfectly reflecting plane boundary with a nonzero classical constant velocity in a direction parallel to the plane. We calculate the mean squared fluctuations in the velocity and position of the test particle taking into account both fluctuating electric and magnetic forces. Our results show that the influence of fluctuating magnetic fields is, in general, of the higher order than that caused by fluctuating electric fields and is thus negligible.  相似文献

The evolution of a system state is derived based on the nonresonant interaction of a three-level "Λ" type atom with two cavity modes at a pair coherent state and two classic fields,and a cavity field state is analyzed in detail under conditional detecting.It is found that the quantized modified Bessel-Gaussian states as well as the superposition states consisting of the quantized vortex states with different weighted coefficients may be prepared through carefully preparing an initial atomic state and appropriately adjusting the interaction time.The scheme provides an additional choice to realize the two-mode quantized vortex state within the context of cavity quantum electrodynamics(QED).  相似文献

We study a two-level atom in interaction with a real massless scalar quantum field in a spacetime with a reflecting boundary. We calculate the rate of change of the atomic energy for the atom. The presence of the boundary modifies the quantum fluctuations of the scalar field, which in turn modifies the rate of change of the atomic energy. It is found that the modifications induced by the presence of a boundary make the spontaneous radiation rate of an excited atom to oscillate near the boundary and this oscillatory behaviour may offer a possible opportunity for experimental tests for geometrical (boundary) effects in flat spacetime.  相似文献

Direct write atom lithography is a new technique in which resonant light is used to pattern an atomic beam and the nanostructures are formed when the atoms deposit on the substrate. We design an experiment setup to fabricate chromium nanolines by depositing an atomic beam of ^52Cr through an off-resonant laser standing wave with the wavelength of 425.55 nm onto a silicon substrate. The resulting nanolines exhibit a period of 215±3 nm with height of I nm.  相似文献

In this talk, the interaction of a single photon injected to a single atom is studied, for which initially the photon is uncorrelated with the atom. The spontaneous emitted photon will then evolve to be entangled with the atom on their continuous kinetic variables (momentum) in the process of resonant scattering. We find the relations between the entanglement and their physical control parameters (such as the linewidth of the injected photon wave packet, and that of the atomic wave packet, etc. ), which indicates that high entanglement can be reached by broadening the scale of the atomic wave or squeezing the linewidth of the incident single-photon pulse.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate properties of the ground state of a closed dot-ring system with a magnetic flux in the Kondo regime by means of a tight-banding Anderson Hamiltonian, using the Slave-Boson mean-field approach. The persistent current shows interesting dependences on the parity and on the size of the system. The signature of Kondo resonance at ζk/L = 0.15 is expected to be observed experimentally in the future. With the intensity of the coupling tD changes from weak to strong, the properties of the system changes largely, which are different from the in-line one because of the attached dot.  相似文献

To study the possibility of detecting the crossing channel by using a traditional logging tool, acoustic field generated by a monopole source in a cased well with a crossing channel of various angles is simulated by 2.5-D Finite Difference Method (FDM). Snapshots of normal stress and synthetic time-domain waveforms are displayed. The two-dimensional spectrum in wave-number and frequency domains is also calculated, where the influence of the channel is clearer than that in the waveforms. Numerical study demonstrated that a crossing channel can be detected and sized if its angle is greater than 30 degree, and larger spacing and lower frequency source are favorable to detect and size the crossing channel.  相似文献

Stressed by external forces, it is possible for a cylindric pipeline to change into an elliptic pipeline. To expose the effect of small shape change of the pipeline on the depletion interactions, both the depletion potentials and depletion forces in the hard sphere systems confined by a cylindric pipeline or by an elliptic pipeline are studied by Monte Carlo simulations. The numerical results show that the depletion interactions are strongly affected by the small change of the shape of the pipeline in a way. Furthermore, it is also found that the depletion interactions will be strengthened if the short axis of the elliptic pipeline is decreased.  相似文献

We investigate the ground-state properties of a two-dimensional two-electron quantum dot with a Gaussian confining potential under the influence of perpendicular homogeneous magnetic field. Calculations are carried out by using the method of numerical diagonalization of Hamiltonian matrix within the effective-mass approximation. A ground-state behaviour (singlet→triplet state transitions) as a function of the strength of a magnetic field has been found. It is found that the dot radius R of the Gaussian potential is important for the ground-state transition and the feature of ground-state for the Gaussian potential quantum dot (QD), and the parabolic potential QDs are similar when R is larger. The larger the quantum dot radius, the smaller the magnetic field for the singlet-triplet transition of the ground-state of two interacting electrons in the Gaussian quantum dot.  相似文献

The characteristics of the microwave discharge are studied in a modified surfaguide with a large diameter. Ex-perimental results show that there exist three discharging modes, one is the plasma mode, and the others are the waveguide modes. The discharge can jump between one of the wavegudde modes and the plasma mode, and the corresponding hysteresis loop is influenced by the discharging pressure. In the higher pressure region, the hysteresis loop is wide enough so that the discharge in each mode is stable. In the middle pressure region, the discharge becomes unstable as a result of the hysteresis loop being sufficiently narrow. When the gas pressure is further decreased, the plasma mode disappears, while the mode jumps between the two wavegulde modes always appear and are stable in the discharge region we have explored.  相似文献

We study the transient behaviour of an external field induced transient emission of three-level atomic systems embedded in a photonic crystal with a pseudogap. The expressions for fluorescence spectra and emission dynamics for luminescent materials in the pseudogap are obtained. The properties of the transient gain in the pseudogap are discussed. It shows that the transient emission in the pseudogap can be effectively controlled.  相似文献

The evolution of the field entropy and the entanglement between the atom and the field for the system of a single-mode vacuum field interacting with a Ξ-type three-level atom have been studied by using the reduced quantum entropy. The influences of the detuning of the light field and the setting of the initial state of the atom on the field entropy and entanglement of the system under consideration are discussed emphatically. It is showed that the detuning of the light field and the setting of the initial state of the atom play an important role for the evolution of the field entropy and the entanglement between the atom and the field. The general conclusions reached are illustrated by numerical results.  相似文献

A new two-sided model of vapour-liquid layer system with a deformable interface is proposed. In this model, the vapour recoil effect on the Marangoni-Bénard instability of a thin evaporating liquid layer can be examined only when the interface deflexion is considered. The instability of a liquid layer undergoing steady evaporation induced by the coupling of vapour recoil effect and the Marangoni effect is analysed using a linear stability theory. We modify and develop the Chebyshev-Tau method to solve the instability problem of a deformable interface system by introducing a new equation at interface boundary. New instability behaviour of the system has been found and the self-amplification mechanism between the evaporation flux and the interface deflexion is discussed.  相似文献
