Fixed Point Theorems and a New System of Multivalued Generalized Order Complementarity Problems*

Some new fixed point and coupled fixed point theorems for multivalued increasing type mappings are obtained and a new system of multivalued generalized order complementarity problems is introduced in this paper. In terms of new fixed point and coupled fixed point theorems, we give some existance results of solutions for this new system of multivalued generalized order complementarity problems. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results announced by Isac and Kostreva.     

A Newton method for a class of quasi-variational inequalities

A variant of the Newton method for nonsmooth equations is applied to solve numerically quasivariational inequalities with monotone operators. For this purpose, we investigate the semismoothness of a certain locally Lipschitz operator coming from the quasi-variational inequality, and analyse the generalized Jacobian of this operator to ensure local convergence of the method. A simplified variant of this approach, applicable to implicit complementarity problems, is also studied. On the convergence of a basic iterative method for the implicit complementarity problem

In Part 1 of this study (Ref. 1), we have defined the implicit complementarity problem and investigated its existence and uniqueness of solution. In the present paper, we establish a convergence theory for a certain iterative algorithm to solve the implicit complementarity problem. We also demonstrate how the algorithm includes as special cases many existing iterative methods for solving a linear complementarity problem.This research was prepared as part of the activities of the Management Sciences Research Group, Carnegie-Mellon University, under Contract No. N00014-75-C-0621-NR-047-048 with the Office of Naval Research.     

Complementarity problems for multivalued monotone operator in Banach spaces

We utilize S. Park's maximal element theorem in this paper to prove the existence theorems of solutions of the complementarity problems for multivalued monotone operator in Banach spaces.     

Solvability of Implicit Complementarity Problems

In this paper, a new notion of exceptional family of elements (EFE) for a pair of functions involved in the implicit complementarity problem (ICP) is introduced. Based upon this notion and the Leray–Schauder Alternative, a general alternative is obtained which gives more general existence theorems for the implicit complementarity problem. Finally, via the techniques of continuous selections, these existence theorems are extended to the multi-valued implicit complementarity problems (MIPS).
