The generalized diffraction integralis used to derive a generalized formula for high-order Bessel–Gaussian beams (HBGBs) through a misaligned first-order ABCD optical system. It is found that, when a HBGB propagates through a misaligned optical system, the beam shape of the output beam is unchanged. However, the center of the output beam is deviated from the optical axis, forming a decentered HBGB. The position of the output beam may be controlled by adjusting the misaligned parameters. Based on the derived formula, the diffraction patterns of HBGBs propagating through a simple misaligned lens system have been calculated numerically. These results may be useful in the application of laser beams for trapping and manipulating a wide variety of particles. 相似文献

This paper reports that, based on the electromagnetic
scattering theory of the multipole method, a high-quality hollow beam is
produced through a selectively liquid-filled photonic crystal fibre.
Instead of a doughnut shape, a typical hollow beam is produced by
other methods; the mode-field images of the hollow-beam photonic
crystal fibre satisfy sixth-order rotation symmetry, according to
the symmetry of the photonic crystal fibre (PCF) structure. A dark
spot size of the liquid-filled photonic crystal fibre-generated
hollow beam can be tuned by inserting liquid into the cladding region
and varying the photonic crystal fibre structure parameters. The
liquid-filled PCF makes a convenient and flexible tool for the
guiding and trapping of atoms and the creation of all-fibre optical

为了研究吸收双层球形微粒的横向光俘获,基于几何光学模型提出了双层带吸收球形微粒的光俘获模型,对TEM00模式高斯光束照射下外层有光吸收的双层电介质球形微粒受到的横向光俘获力进行了数值模拟,取得了光俘获力特性的一系列结果.结果显示,双层球形微粒的外层吸收系数对包括稳态俘获位置,峰值强度,稳态俘获的刚度等光俘获特性有很大影响.此外,内外径的比率对吸收双层球形微粒的光俘获特性也有调制性的影响.在一定条件下,带吸收的双层球形微粒可以被俘获在光轴上,也可能被俘获在中心在光轴上的圆环上.

The optical torque and the trapping position (focal point) in optical tweezers are analyzed for upward-directed focused laser
illumination using a ray optics model, considering that laser light is incident at not only the lower surface but also the
side surface of a 3-wing rotor. The viscous drag force due to the pressure and the shearing stress on all surfaces of the
rotor is evaluated using computational fluid dynamics. The rotation rate is simulated in water by balancing the optical torque
with the drag force, resulting in 500 rpm for an SU-8 rotor with 20 μm diameter at a laser power of 200 mW. The trapping position
is estimated to be 7.6 μm in the rotor with an upward-directed laser at 200 mW via an objective lens having a numerical aperture
of 1.4. Both the rotation rate and the trapping position agree well with the values obtained in the experiment. 相似文献

The technique of optical tweezers has been improved a lot since its
invention, which extends the application fields of optical tweezers. Besides
the conventionally used Gaussian beams, different types of ring beams have also been
used to form optical tweezers for different purposes. The two typical
kinds of ring beams used in optical tweezers are the hollow Gaussian beam and
Laguerre--Gaussian (LG) beam. Both theoretical computation and experiments
have shown that the axial trapping force is improved for the ring beams
compared with the Gaussian beam, and hence the trapping stability is
improved, although the transverse trapping forces of ring beams are smaller
than that of Gaussian beam. However, no systematic study on the trapping
forces of ring beam has ever been discussed. In this article, we will investigate
the axial and transverse trapping forces of different types of ring beams
with different parameters systematically, by numerical computation in which
the ray optics model is adopted. The spherical aberration caused by the
refractive index mismatch between oil and water is also considered in the
article. The trapping forces for different objectives that obey the sine
condition and tangent condition are also compared with each other.
The result of systematical calculation will be useful for the applications
of optical tweezers formed by different types of ring beams. 相似文献

Optical forces acting on a micro-sphere were studied to corroborate the single-beam fiber optic trap. Transverse optical force acted to pull the micro-sphere back to the beam axis, but axial force always acted in the direction away from the optical fiber end because the laser beam from optical fiber could not be strongly focused. A stable two-dimensional optical trapping could be obtained by the weakly focused laser beam from the fiber end inserted at an angle. 相似文献

本文采用三维时域有限差分法(FDTD)和Maxwell应力张量法建立了单光镊在焦点附近俘获球形微粒的光阱力模型,采用基于球矢量波函数(VSWF)的五阶高斯光源作为仿真光源,得到了准确的光场传播.讨论了光源的波长、束腰、偏振态和微球的半径、折射率对光阱力的影响,分析了在单光镊俘获微球时,邻近微球对光阱力的影响.特别研究了光源的偏振态对微球所受光阱力的作用效果,仿真结果表明圆偏振光比线偏振光对微球的俘获力更大;被光镊稳定俘获的微球,会受到邻近微球干扰,失去平衡状态,改变光源的偏振态可以改变微球的受力状态.

The focusing properties of a concentric piecewise cylindrical vector beam is investigated theoretically in this paper. The beam consists of three portions with different and changeable phase retardation and polarization. Numerical simulations show that the evolution of the focal shape is very considerable by changing the radius and polarization rotation angle of each portion of the vector beam. And some interesting focal spots may occur, such as two- or three-peak focus, dark hollow focus, ring focus, and two-ring-peak focus. Corresponding gradient force patterns are also computed, and novel trap patterns, including cup shell shape trap with one trap at its each side along axis, rectangle shell shape trap with one trap at its each side, dumbbell optical trap, spherical shell optical trap, may occur, which shows that the concentric piecewise cylindrical vector beam can be used to construct controllable optical tweezers. 相似文献

A dual optical tweezers system,which consists of a doughnut mode optical tweezer (DMOT) with the azimuthally polarised trapping beam and a solid mode optical tweezer (SMOT) with the Gauss trapping beam was constructed to compare the axial trapping effect of DMOT and SMOT.The long-distance axial trapping of ST68 microbubbles (MBs) achieved by DMOT was more stable than that of SMOT.Moreover the axial trapping force measured using the viscous drag method,was depended on the diameter of the particle,the laser power,and the numerical aperture (NA) of the objective lens.The measurement of the axial trapping force and the acquisition of CCD images of trapping effect confirmed that the DMOT showed excellent axial trapping ability than SMOT.A simple and effective method is developed to improve axial trapping effect using the azimuthally polarized beam as trapping beam.This is helpful for the long-distance manipulating of particles especially polarised biological objects in axial direction. 相似文献

Compared to conventional devices, metasurfaces offer the advantages of being lightweight, with planarization and tuning flexibility. This provides a new way to integrate and miniaturize optical systems. In this paper, a metasurface capable of generating multiple bottle beams was designed. Based on the Pancharatnam-Berry (P-B) phase principle, the metasurface lens can accurately control the wavefront by adjusting the aspect ratio of the titanium dioxide nanopillars and the rotation angle. When irradiated by left-handed circularly polarized light with a wavelength of 632.8 nm, the optical system can produce multiple micron bottle beams. Taking two bottle beams as examples, the longitudinal full widths at half-maximum of the optical tweezers can reach 0.85 μ and 1.12 μ, respectively, and the transverse full widths at half-maximum can reach 0.46 μ and 0.6 μ. Also, the number of generated bottle beams can be varied by controlling the size of the annular obstacle. By changing the x-component of the unit rotation angle, the metasurface can also change the shape of the bottle beam — the beam cross-section can be changed from circular to elliptical. This paper also analyzes the trapping of ytterbium atoms by the multi bottle beam acting as optical tweezers. It is found that the multi bottle beam can cool and trap multiple ytterbium atoms. 相似文献

In this paper, we consider the propagation of an anomalous hollow beam passing through the first-order ABCD optical system. Based on the generalized diffraction integrals, a general propagating formula of anomalous hollow beam is derived. Based on the derived formula, the propagation properties of anomalous hollow beam through the misaligned optical system are numerically illustrated. From the numerical results we can get that when an anomalous hollow beam propagates through a misaligned optical system, the shape of the output beam changes as the propagation distance increases, and the center of the output beam is deviated from the optical axis. The position of the output beam is effected by the misaligned parameters, and can be controlled by adjusting them. This method provides a convenient tool for studying the propagation and transformation of an anomalous hollow beam through the misaligned optical system. 相似文献

In our experiment, a single cesium atom prepared in a large-magnetic-gradient magneto–optical trap (MOT) can be efficiently transferred into a 1064-nm far-off-resonance microscopic optical dipole trap (FORT). The efficient transfer of the single atom between the two traps is used to determine the trapping lifetime and the effective temperature of the single atom in FORT. The typical trapping lifetime has been improved from ~ 6.9 s to ~ 130 s by decreasing the background pressure from ~ 1 × 10–10 Torr to ~ 2 × 10–11Torr and applying one-shot 10-ms laser cooling phase. We also theoretically investigate the dependence of trapping lifetimes of a single atom in a FORT on trap parameters based on the FORT beam’s intensity noise induced heating. Numerical simulations show that the heating depends on the FORT beam’s waist size and the trap depth. The trapping time can be predicted based on effective temperature measurement of a single atom in the FORT and the intensity noise spectra of the FORT beam. These experimental results are found to be in agreement with the predictions of the heating model. 相似文献

在研制基于微型光机电系统技术的光电器件过程中,需要精确测定器件在给定驱动条件下的运动情况。在对制作完成的光开关进行性能测试时,由于微型光机电系统光开关的几何尺寸的限制,如果要准确测定光开关微反射镜的运动位移。将会有一定的困难。提出了一种采用线阵CCD技术的光学测量方法,实现了对光开关悬臂梁在驱动电压作用下的旋转角度的精确测量。通过理论推导得到了悬臂梁扭转角度与可测量物理量的关系.通过求解方程得到了各个物理量的数值选择对于测量结果的影响,并且给定了测量时各个物理量的参考值。通过实验测量,误差小于10%,表明这是一种具有实际意义的测量方案。 相似文献

提出了一种利用双周期弧向非满额相位调制的方法产生双空心光束的方案. 当准直氦氖激光通过1.5 mm半径透光孔照射到该相位图样时, 在200 mm成像透镜像空间获得长30 mm, 间距57.6μm, 单管束宽度0.11–0.14 mm的双空心光束. 该方案结构简单, 产生的双空心光束具有较好的可控性, 双光管间距由相位调制因子p决定, 能够实现从双空心光束到单空心光束的双向演化. 对所提出的方案进行了实验研究并得到与理论相符的结果. 利用多种组合方式讨论了将该方案拓展到蓝失谐光学囚禁势阱, 可以实现可控的空心双光阱、四光阱与光学晶格等, 有望在冷原子、冷分子囚禁与操控等领域的实验研究中发挥重要作用. 相似文献

光镊利用强会聚激光对微粒产生的梯度力来捕获微粒,可以进行无损、远程操控,同时具有皮牛精度的测力特性,已经成为物理学、生命科学和胶体化学等研究领域中不可缺少的研究工具。光镊效应可以表现微小的光子动量和角动量,是物理学的重要教学工具。本文根据高斯光束传播和变换规律,设计具有稳定捕获性能的最小化光镊,并给出了典型参数。光镊系统由捕获激光、光束耦合系统、倒置生物显微镜和大数值孔径物镜组成,成像系统由物镜、摄影目镜和CCD相机组成。本光镊系统具有紧凑特性,同时通过保持物镜后瞳充满度来实现稳定捕获。在该最小光镊系统上,可以根据用户需求增加光镊阱位操控系统、刚度调节系统和其他辅助设备以满足不同操控要求,可以很好地满足科研和教学需求。 相似文献
